This sunscreen is a game-changer for me. This product is what a sunscreen should be: non-greasy, very protective, non-reactive. I first learned of this from a pro cyclist I follow on Twitter who mentioned it, and I made a note as I’m forever on the hunt for a perfect do-it-all sunscreen. I run and bike to work and go on crazy-long bike rides, and my skin is also uber-sensitive to the sun as I use an AHA moisturizer on the regular, so I need a real workhorse product. Enter Endurance Shield. I purchased the small size from Amazon and was smitten immediately: it has a light gel-cream texture, smells a bit like aloe, and blends into my skin like a dream. There is absolutely no white cast, and after I let it sink in a bit (5 mins), it isn’t going anywhere, even through serious sweating in the Midwest’s humid, hot summer. (The tube says it’s water-resistant for 80 minutes; I think it’s much longer because it protected me through a 4-hour beer festival in 100-degree heat and a 5-hour bike ride in 80-degrees.)
I used up my small tube in about a month and immediately purchased a larger one, which I’m close to finishing. I’ve had zero breakouts from this sunscreen, and dare I say, my skin has improved since I started using it?! Miraculous. I’ve worn this under makeup several times; both liquid (BalmShelter TM) and powder (StudioFix) perform well with it; no balling up and no blotchiness. I can’t say enough good things about this sunscreen: it is that good, and I’ve tried a LOT of facial sunblocks. This is The One, and I need to order another small tube soon. I absolutely recommend this product to everyone, to all skin types! I purchase from the Endurance Shield website; 2oz (small size) is $12.99 and 4oz (larger size) is $23.99. It is worth EVERY CENT.
