d Program is a Japanese skincare and cosmetic brand aimed at sensitive skin customers. This sunscreen is meant as a primer to their Newly launched Allerbarrier Essence BB. It is a very milky, watery sunscreen that needs a good shake before dispensing. It comes in a light weight plastic bottle, the same as the BB essence, and for the price, 3000 JPY, you get 30ml, which is quite expensive for a Japanese drugstore sunscreen. What this touts compared to other sunscreens is that it can keep away pollen, dust, and other pollutants from settling onto your skin. It`s also fragrance free and formulated not to irritate sensitive skin. It certainly left a white cast, which on my fair skin is fine, but wouldn`t work for darker complexions. Like most milks, you need some time to blend. The finish is not too dewy, it`s somewhere between matte and dewy, and as a primer for the Allerbarrier BB essence, it works great. For me, I think it`s a bit too pricey, because I can get other, equally great sunscreens in Japan for under 15 bucks. However, the allergy season here is brutal, so I will give this a shot again February to May, to see how that allergen barrier works.
