The Perfect Sunscreen is much too tacky to wear under makeup and overtime the tackiness clogged my pores. The formulation is excellent in that it is gentle and contains no irritating ingredients. So if you don’t mind having tacky glue on your face, then it is not so bad. But i warn you, even my fiancée who does not notice makeup, asked me why my makeup looked “like makeup” on the days i wore this sunscreen underneath (as opposed to more glowy and natural).
Ps. There is something fishy about the company. Yes they are super sweet and will refund anyone not 100% satisfied, but i noticed that none of my negative reviews were posted to their website. The website appears to only display positive reviews.

I’ve been using this product for the last few weeks and I do like it, but there are a few issues that make me want to find something else instead of repurchasing. This is a tinted mineral sunscreen and I actually find that the tint is very nice on my skin, even though I’m fair. It evens out hyper pigmentation a little bit but I’m not expecting too much as it is just tinted moisturizer.
My issues with this product come from the poor bottle design, texture and lack of expiration date. All sunscreens have an expiration date and I’m not sure why the old bottles are missing this info. Apparently they are good from one year after the bottle is opened but I would like to see an expiration date on the packaging.
Secondly, my pump seems to stop working as well after a few weeks. I also do not like how I cannot see how much product is left in the package and there does not seem to be a way to open the package to get the rest of the product out without destroying it. Admittedly I haven’t attempted too hard to get it out as my bottle is relatively new but considering the price I’d hope to be able to get all of the sunscreen out.
Lastly I find the consistency of this sunscreen very difficult to spread evenly on my face and I feel a lot of it rubbing off into my hands. I’ve tried doing the recommended double application (apply once, let dry and apply again) of sunscreen to ensure coverage (I’m currently on retina-a and using an AHA so sun protection is very important) but it just seems to make the product underneath pill up. It also leaves my skin with a very sticky finish, almost glue like that doesn’t dry down until many hours later.
On the positive side this makes a great primer for powder foundation because it is so sticky. I have yet to try it with liquid.
Overall this has yet to aggravate any breakouts and I do like the effect it has on evening my skin tone generally, and the base it provides for powder but for everyday it’s a little much to have to set my sunscreen. If this sunscreen had better packaging, spread better and with a less glue-y finish it would definitely be perfect. In the meantime it is a great option with few pore clogging ingredients and I find it moisturizing.

This is as close to a perfect sunscreen as you can get. Most importantly, this product does not leave a white cast. Maybe a brightening effect due to the minerals added, but not at all whitening. I would love a more matte finish and smoother, lotiony texture like the Japanese sunscreens, but hey, at least it claims to be water resistant and has one of the cleanest sunscreen formulations I have come across. It is expensive, but I really feel you get what you pay for in a facial sunscreen such as this. As a side note, I think the pump dispenser could be improved upon. Actually, come to think of it, all of their dispensers could use improvement.
