I like Caudalie in general and disregarded the negative reviews of this particular product because I hadn’t come across a Caudalie product I didn’t like. On hindsight, I should have paid attention to the reviews because they were correct after all. This sunscreen is too greasy and the scent too strong. It has headache-inducing, heady floral smell. And because it’s something you apply on your face, you can’t escape the scent! As for the greasiness- even for those with dry skin, this would be problematic putting under makeup. It doesn’t seem to ever absorb really. And you can’t wear it without makeup either because you are left with a really shiny face. The only way I can use this is by applying it alongside a mattifying primer, but it only alleviates the problem rather than solve it. The other issue is that this stings the eye. Back to my usual Japanese and Swiss sunscreens then!
