180Pro TEASEless volumizing powder shake – interesting concept and inexpensive at Sally’s. My got2be does a better job I think. This stuff doesn’t stick to my hair enough to give it much volume, if that makes any sense. Basically, I found this stuff to give me a little bit of volume whereas by got2be give me much more. This is a Meh for me.

This is a volumizing spray that is supposed to take the place of backcombing. I used it at the roots of my finished style for some lift at the crown. I don’t know why they call this “powder shake” because there’s nothing powdery about it. I thought it would act more like a dry shampoo, which is why I bought it. But it does deliver some nice volume and although it goes on slightly wet and takes a few minutes to dry, it works OK. I spray it on my fingers and then work them into the roots rather than spraying it directly on the roots. I don’t want to disturb my finished style so this method works best for me. The volume lasts all day but it kind of stiff once it dries, just like hairspray. I would rather it be more of a flexible brushable nature with a softer amount of hold. It sort of makes my hair look like 80s pageant hair if I overdo it, lol! It’s easy to go overboard and end up with helmet head. This spray is more like a volumizing hairspray and nothing like a dry shampoo, so I don’t know why they bothered to put “powder” in the name. I’ve used it twice but I think I’m going to return it to Sally’s. It’s just not that different from a hairspray and I have plenty of those. I thought I had discovered something new and different and lo and behold, it’s just a small can of hairspray. What a disappointment! Oh well, at least I can get my money back.
