   This was a great find for fine hair, as were all of the Youth Boost products. Shame the line’s been discontinued. Sprayed directly onto your roots, it added nice volume and lift–no gunk. Smelled great and was very affordable, too. If Tresemme brought it back, I’d definitely repurchase.

   I recently had around 5 inches cut off my fine medium thickness hair. I have a lob that I wash and restyle everyday. My hair is around shoulder length and I’ve been looking for something to add some volume. I have a Kenra volumizing foam and thickening glaze but it doesn’t do anything noticeable. Big Sexy Hair Root Pump leaves my hair slightly sticky and difficult to round brush.

   I currently use the Tresemme Youth Boost shampoo and conditioner so I thought I’d pick this product up. I use it with It’s a 10 leave in (no reason why, other than that’s my daily leave in/heat protectant). I part my hair about six time across my scalp from ear to ear and spray the product twice along each part. I also lift a back section across the crown and spray. This product feels like water. It isn’t sticky or detectable in towel dried hair. I massage it into my hair and then let it air dry while I do my makeup. This product has the same fresh scent as the shampoo and conditioner. I can’t detect it on my hair when it’s dry.

   My hair has a slight wave to it but I noticed it seems to air dry straighter. It blows out smoothly with slight lift at the roots. It’s touchable. Not stiff or sticky and I can’t feel the product in my hair at all. Later in the day, if I brush through my hair the volume is still there.

   This product is not a miracle. Nothing is going to make my fine hair strands thicker or more voluminous but I like this product for what it is. It gives slight lift to the roots and leaves my hair soft and it’s easy to brush through. For reference, my hair is similar to Jennifer Aniston’s texture wise and similar to her bob cut she had a few years ago. I live in the humid southeast and it’s been raining everyday for the past couple weeks. Since I started using this product, my hair has been staying like styled, without going flat or flipping outwards from the humidity. This product states that you can use it on dry hair so I tried it the first day I bought it. It didn’t make my hair greasy or weigh it down and it did give noticeable lift. The spray comes out very wet however, so it will dampen your roots if your hair is already dry and has been styled.

   I just purchased this at Big Lots for $3.50- I’m hoping this isn’t being discontinued because it’s a really nice product to add a good amount of volume without being sticky. I like this better than my Pantene one which costs $20.00 and it pretty much the same type of product.

   I initially used this to replace my Living Proof Full Volume Thickening Cream due to price. This by itself provided shiny, soft hair w/ a little bit of volume.

   HOWEVER, when I did started using TRESemme Max The Volume Root Lifting Cream on my roots (see separate review) and this stuff everywhere else = all day volume w/ shiny bouncy hair – WHEEEE!!! NOTE – I do NOT spray 10-15 pumps or whatever the directions say. For me, I just spray all over (6-8 sprays maybe).

   About my hair: layered, reverse bob, color treated, fine but kind of a lot of it. Volume usually runs away from me about mid day, but not with this combination – (and yes I realize I sound like a Prell commercial) 😛

   I also love the lock cap cover = no spillage if in gym bag 🙂 Will I repurchase – YUP! Bye bye Living Proof 🙂
