This product did nothing for my straight Asian hair unless I used a diffuser and mousse and hairspray. This product is definitely not a spray and go product which is what I was looking for. I would scrunch my hair and it would produce waves, but as soon as it dried–nada.
The only redeeming factors are the smell–which is a synthetic smell but I like it, and the bottle is a straight up regular spray with a cylindrical body–no muss no fuss.
Don’t buy this.

I was hoping this was a dupe for John Frida’s beach wavy spray or whatever it’s called. Remember that stuff? They resurrected it this summer but I can’t find it anymore so I picked this up. Nope, definitely not the same. The only thing did stuff did is make my hair look and feel dry and matte. Not even any waves. It’s going back to Wags.

I have super fine wavy(frizzy) long dyed hair. I’ve been searching for a product for years to give me this nice of a result! So easy, just spray, brush threw, twist and i’m ready to go. Effortless waves in minutes. It does dry my hair out (but i was expecting it to) Decent scent that fades quickly.

I have used the Redken and Davines sea salt sprays, and this works every bit as good as those for a quarter of the price. I just spray this all over my damp hair then blow dry upside down with a diffuser, and I have big, awesome, beachy, sexy waves! My hair is naturally a little bit wavy but this really amps it up. I don’t know why the first review says it smells bad…it really doesn’t have much of a scent at all.

I use this a volume spray, not really to create waves. As a volume spray it works great, it gives a messy look without being too sticky or too matte. In combination with the txt volume spray this rocks! Cons: the smell is meh, you can really smell the magnesium, and there isn’t any heat protection as far as I can tell.
P.S. I think the first reviewer put her review under the wrong product, I believe she’s talking about the txt volume spray because that is the one with the very strong fragrance. Like mentioned above, this spray just smells of magnesium.

I have baby fine, fragile, damaged, hi-lighted hair that I wear in a messy, tousled bob. I was just about to dye it back to my natural medium brown and chop it all off… then I bought this stuff on a whim and voila! No more blow drying, then flat ironing and then adding a ton of product, just to look a mess by lunch time.
THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. Awesome volume and shiny, beachy waves. You can play with the waves and it holds the shape as you juzz it up. GOD SEND. Now, I can stay blonde and my hair looks healthy. Gold star!!!!!!!!!!

This states that it leaves a ‘matte’ finish….so it should be implied it will be a drier feel/texture. I LOVE that about this one. A beach-wave spray that doesn’t have an oily residue. I love the volume it gave my hair overall and that yes….it truly felt as if I took a dip in the sea. If you want gloss or a heavy residue, look elsewhere. I have never used this on wet/damp hair, but only on my already dried hair, and I spray, scrunch and go.

Worked very well on my hair, gave it body and texture (my hair is thick and straight with a very slight wave). Also, seemed to act as a dry shampoo would–absorbed oil and didn’t have to wash as frequently as I normally do. Only drawback is the really strong fragrance when first applied, but the odor does dissipate over time.

OMG. I get that salt water/beach waves thing, but damn.. my hair literally felt like i put salt water in in.. it looked super dry, brittle, and dull. It make my hair rough and frizzy. It’s HORRIBLE. DID NOT DO WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA DO. It’s just pointless. Didn’t do anything but make my hair feel gross and super dry. NEVER AGAIN….

Once of the worst products I’ve ever used. Not only did it do nothing to my hair but make it flat and sticky, it was a terrible scent that lasts all day. Smells like cheap, flowery perfume. It was very strong all day; I ended up with a headache and sick to my stomach by the time I could go home and wash it out. Even other people could smell it around me. Gross.
