I work at Sally beauty and this is by far one of our best sellers and I decided to give it a try, it’s a little too greasy for my hair so a little goes a long way. I just spray it on my hands instead of directly onto my damp or dry hair. With that being said, it DOES work well it’s just very slippy and is GREAT for curly hair that needs moisture and shine as well! It’s good for thicker hair too, even if you don’t have curls but just a lot of hair!

This is a curly-girl friendly product, which is hard to find. It is a bit oily and heavy even lightly applied on my hair. The smell though is the biggest issue. It’s like a very fruity Escada like scent. I like Pink Sugar but not watermellon scents. This is very watermellon scented with some other fruits added in. The scent is heavy and lingers all day (stronger than many perfumes). Even lightly applied. It may be too oily and heavy for some of us, and the scent is pretty strong. I had to get rid of it due to the scent.

This product is amazing! I’ve used cheap to high end heat protectors, and this one has worked the best. I paid less than $8 at Sally’s.
I have thin, fine hair. I spray the product onto my hair. I wouldn’t recommend spraying into your hair…it can look very oily. Just spray a little into your hands or brush…a little product goes long ways. This bottle will last you for a while.
I love the smell. It has a fruity, orangey smell.
Definitely give this product a try. It’s amazing!

If you spray this onto your roots, you’re going to have an oily bad time. I spray this on the bottom half of my hair and brush it through, let it sit for a few minutes while I do my makeup, and then use my heat tools. Sometimes I spray it on the bottom half of my hair after I’ve finished flat-ironing my entire head because it smooths away any flyaways and adds some moisture to the ends. I feel like my hair is in better shape since I’ve started using this before applying heat. I’m giving it 5 stars because it appears to hold up to its promise on protecting my hair, it’s easy to use, and the scent is nice.

I’ve had this bottle a while. Only bothered to use it a couple of times. Makes hair feel greasy yet hard to a degree. I was convinced that due to the oils in this product I was causing damage when applying my flat iron to misted hair. A scary product to use when trying to grow out the hair, for sure. I do like the scent and the bottle is really cute, but that’s not enough to make me repurchase.

I picked this up on a whim, I usually use one of the olive oil heat protectant sprays from Sally’s or CHI’s heat serum and I love trying new things so I thought why not?
I always look at MUA reviews and I’ve seen other protectants with higher ratings so I wasn’t expecting anything amazing, but I really love this! I love how it coats my dry hair and I really feel like it protects it from the heat. Yes, obviously if you use too much it will look greasy, but my hair is very dry so if I just use it on the ends it doesn’t look bad at all. I like this even more than the CHI, and I even like it better than Moroccan Oil in terms of making my hair smooth.
One thing is I am not keen on the smell…but I love the effects so much I just try and put it up with it.

Okay, so let me just start off by saying that if you have thin hair that gets greasy easily, this is probably NOT the product for you. That sums about 90% of all the negative reviews I’ve seen on here. This is an oil based product and can make your hair look -surprise- oily. If you have extremely dry hair that loves and sucks up any moisture, this is definitely your product.
So now, my experience with the product. I have REALLY thick wavy course hair that I have to straighten every day to look decent. I’ve never had any luck with finding a good heat protectant before. They always made my hair feel all crinkly and weird, or they just didn’t work. I picked this up from Sally’s after reading the reviews. I am sooo glad I did. This product adds the extra moisture to my hair that I need. It also makes my hair straighten MUCH easier and quicker, and also works as a detangler. I’m not too fond of the smell, but the smell is gone after I straighten, so it’s no big deal. My hair is REALLY dry so I spray a lot of this on my hair from mid-shaft to ends before straightening. Like I said, quickens the straightening time and makes my hair feel SUPER soft afterwards. I also have noticed a reduction in damage since using this. It’s pretty much the perfect product for me, highly recommended for dry hair.

I just started using this, so I can’t really comment on how well it protects from heat. But, I love it so far, it’s a bit oily, but leaves hair with lots of slip and shine. The smell is fruity and amazing, and I’d use it just for the scent even if it didn’t do anything else!
The price is great, especially since a little goes a long way so it will last a while. My only complaint is the bottle. I find the spray nozzle a bit sticky and it’s a bit uncomfortable to use.

Absolutely LOVE this product… I dye and bleach my hair quite often and using this, along with my amazing shampoo and conditioner, is what has helped me keep my hair healthy!! I ALWAYS suggest this product to my clients!! The oiliness is what helps protect your hair… A little goes an extremely long way… I also use it on my daughters before blow drying or flat ironing their hair

Do not spray this directly on your hair! Made that mistake exactly one time. I was left with a greasy mess. Spray on your hands and run through. A little goes a long way. It’s oily and greasy, but that kind of makes sense for a heat protector?
