I have been buying it for years. My hair is stick straight and baby fine and this has been the only way to get it to hold a curl. Went to buy it a couple of days ago and it is unavailable EVERYWHERE! Discontinued! I am lost without it! I will never curl again!! Bring it back!!

PROS: I love how much it activates my curls. WOnderful packaging that delivers a pretty fine mist in an easy to use sprayer. Inexpensie.
CONS: Way too crunchy of a finish for me.
ALTERNATES: I prefer either Garnier De-Constructed Beach Chic Texturizing Spray (for less crunch) or Tresemme Perfectly Undone Wave Creation Sea Foam (for a lot less crunch.) I actually like to also add Suave Curly Mousse – with the green cap – on my roots for volume. I have recently found Dove STYLE+care Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse which is amazing for enhancing my curls with NO crunch and just a touch of softness, and it doesn’t weigh my fine hair down. (And if I use the Dove brand, I don’t need the Suave for my roots, then.) .

This was way too sticky and tangled my hair so much. I brushed my hair in horror as I broke through all the tangled, stiff hair. I only give it 3 stars because it’s not SO bad after you brush through all the mess it created in the first place and it does seem to hold my curls longer.

This stuff is some weird black magic. I don’t even understand it. After spraying it on, it feels impossibly sticky, and my hair is all stiff and straw-like – and then I brush it out and use a curling wand, and I have soft, pretty curls that last all day. Don’t get me wrong, I HATE the sticky stage, and it’s a pain to get it all brushed out, but I have tried using other heat protectants with my curling wand and they don’t achieve the same shiny, smooth texture that I get with this one. My hair tends to frizz a bit when I style with heat, and this beats the frizz better than anything else I’ve used. (All drugstore products, at least – I don’t tend to buy high-end hair products.) I do wish it came in a bottle with a trigger type spray nozzle, like their other heat protectant, but I haven’t had any problems with the nozzle clogging or anything like that.
I’ve had the best luck brushing out my hair well before spraying it on, which helps minimize the tangles that happen afterwards, then letting it dry well and brushing it out with a paddle brush. My hair is stiff immediately after curling, but I let the curls cool and set and then shake them out gently, and they soften up nicely.

I really wanted to like this product as I am generally a fan of tresemme hair products. This just leaves my hair feeling sticky. The spray releases too much product. Sorry tresemme but I won’t repurchase this.

I don’t understand how this would get one good rating. I suspect by smell and results….that this is hairspray. It left my hair sticky, crunchy, unable to be brushed or combed. After my 2nd attempt with this: blow drying my hair and using as directed, my hair was a disaster and I stuck it back under the tap to rinse this out. I brought the bottle to my computer to write this review. And now I am tossing it in the trash.

I hate wasting product and this isn’t really worth trying to take back to the drugstore, so I’m trying to figure out a way to use it. It does nothing for my hair. Even when used as directed, it makes my hair sticky and crunchy. I’ve tried a few other methods, hoping maybe I could find a way to make it work, but so far, no luck. I gave it several chances, but it mostly just sits in my bathroom and probably will until I finally cave and toss it out.

I’m really unhappy with this I’ve been having trouble with getting my new hot rollers to hold a curl in my hair (my 90’s ones I stole from my mom that actually worked broke) so after reading these reviews I thought this would be my savior. Not. First of all YES I did follow the directions exactly, I used the blowdryer for a minute and everything but all i ended up with was kinky frizzy hair after an hour and it was endlessly sticky. I gave this product a couple weeks too, it still sucked.

I’m a big fan of the Tresemme Heat Tamer (all-in-one heat protectant), so when I saw this I decided to try it out – big mistake! I knew this was something I would be immediately returning because it left my hair extremely sticky and it also smelled like liquid chemicals. Even though I followed the instructions and blow-dried my hair after using this, my hair felt rough and was tangled. On top of that, it felt like I had fried my hair despite the fact that I only blow-dried it for about 30 seconds on medium heat! Save your money and stick with the Tresemme Heat Tamer, it smells better and it leaves your hair feeling super soft!

Price: Very cheap, imo. $3.84 + tax USD, for an 8 ounce bottle.
Packaging Quality: 5; your standard plastic spray bottle that you use a finger on top to depress and dispense. A small arm that looks like a novelty helps disperse product better, as your finger doesn’t get in the way and it mists better.
Overall review: I bought this after reading good reviews here and on Amazon, and I am overall very pleased. It is quite cheap, and was very effective. In the picture I uploaded, you see that my hair has the nice tousled bed-headish wave that is popular now, kind of like Marisa Miller’s hair. I curled my hair at 11:30 AM and it still looks good and has a quality amount of curl, even in the longest/heaviest section. The picture uploaded was taken at 6 PM the same day, after being out in 93% humidity, wind, and rain, and after being completely brushed out with a paddle brush. They’re very soft & touchable!!
My favorite part of this spray is that it gives you instructions on avoiding the dreaded stickiness of a curling spray. As per the bottle directions, you spray it on generously, then put the blowdryer on it for a minute or so and brush through. No stickiness or tangles to combat! Leaves your hair feeling soft and no noticeable residue. For the curls in the picture, I used a curling iron without the clamp, and did sections of varying size. My hair is longer and curls tend to fall out, even with salon brand setting sprays, so I’ve been very pleased to see that all day today, my curls have stayed.
The one negative, I want to point out, is that this is technically not vegetarian friendly, as the label says it contains gelatin.
UPDATE 4/12: Tresemme returned my e-mail and confirmed that the product does contain gelatin, making it non-vegetarian. I will not repurchase for this reason.
