I have 3b Keri Russell curly hair bleached blonde by the sun – this looks AMAZING in my hair. I look like I just spent all day hittin some gnarly waves off Venice Beach when in reality I live 1,943 miles away in the midwest.
It defrizzes my hair and seperates the curl. It is a bit heavy – I had previously tried but didn’t like it as much when my hair was longer, but now that its more of a pixie cut (think flock of seagulls) I like the weight because it keeps my hair laying in a downward direction.
I let my hair dry to damp before putting in a dime sized amount spread on my hands and then scrunched through the hair. I’ve tried other gels, creams and pastes and this is my favorite plus its only about $5 and I’ve even found it 2 for 1 at CVS before. I have had trouble finding it at other stores though – Target, Walgreens and the local grocer don’t carry it.

I was looking for a product to help emphasize my natural wavy hair. I can’t stand using products such as gel and mousse because of the hard texture they give hair, so that was not an option. I went to WalMart on a search for hopefully finding something. I saw this and the thought of surfer hair was appealing and so was the price. I loved this product right away, just a little dab rubbed in my hands into my damp hair & it gave me exactly what i was looking for & didn’t give me that nasty feel like some products do. I’ve even gotten compliments from strangers, telling me my hair is awesome!

Like itt :3 not as much as Garnier Surf Hair, but its great for sweeping bangs over. I liked the Wild Harvest Hair packaging better, but now It’s called like FX and I hate the packaging 🙁

Best texturing paste I’ve ever used. Creates a gorgeous beach-like wave to the hair, while still looking soft and natural. Gives the ability to style your hair in 3 minutes with no heat. I will definitely repurchase! 🙂

Best texture product I have ever used. I love how it makes my short hair choppy and fun. There is also a surf spray and I love that too. I stocked up on these products, I love them that much.

I have thick, coarse, naturally curly hair, and this stuff is my unexpected HG. Have gone through 4 jars so far (each lasts about six months). I have tried every styling product, including very high-end stuff, as my MIL works for Barneys :^) Mousses and gels tend to make my hair stiff & crunchy; serums and leave-in conditioners don’t offer enough hold; pomades tend to be greasy and hard to wash out. Anyone with thick hair knows there is a fine balance between taming frizz and making hair feel waxy, unnatural, and heavy.
Surf Head is a terrific little drugstore find. I use about a quarter-size amount for my layered-bob hairstyle, rub it well between my hands, and scrunch it into damp hair. It takes care of frizz, gives a more voluminous and “piece-y” look, and provides just enough hold to allow for touchability and finger-styling during the day. It washes out cleanly and does not leave residue. A very well-designed product. The scent is rather generically “clean,” citrus-soapy, and doesn’t bug me. HG!!

I bought this after seeing a tutorial on Youtube for no heat wavy hair. It comes in a basic jar with a screw off lid and smells sweet, a little salty, and ever so slightly masculine. Very difficult to describe but I love it. The texture is well, a paste but not too thick or sticky. Melts very well when you heat it up in your hands.
I scoop out a little bit and rub it on my roots and scrunch my hair and then either make little min buns, let it air dry as is if I feel lazy, or hit it with my blow dryer. Adds great texture to my slightly wavy, fine, yet very full head of hair. No greasies, gives great body, texture and it doesn’t weigh my hair down. I think this would be great for ladies with wavier hair and is a great product to do no heat waves with. You get 4 oz for about $6. Will buy again.
