My stylist used this on me about 6 weeks ago and afterward, I tried to purchase it through a hair products chain and was told it was discontinued (it’s not though they might no longer be carrying it). Then I decided to check on Amazon and all the reviews said what they’d received was brown or red coloured (as a few here commented too). This seemed to suggest old stock or spoiled product that should have been destroyed but someone could see a profit in selling it on Amazon or eBay. BUT – my hair stylist has this stuff which is where I first discovered it (and it is CLEAR, not brown) so the last time I was in, I asked her if she could get me some if she sees it at her beauty supply wholesaler. She got me a bottle 2 weeks ago for a wonderfully affordable $15 (and this is in Canada) and I love the product. I have several similar ones from Paul Mitchell and Schwartzkopf (OSIS Majic) but I think I like this one the best. It really is “silkening” and makes my coarse and frizz prone hair so much smoother. I love this product and I’m so glad it hasn’t been discontinued!

This is my favourite all time product. So slippery smooth application. Small amount needed, I spread over my hands and lightly distribute throughout my hair. One of the only leave ins that I like that is not heavy, greasy or sticky. Your hair will feel amazing!

Every sight this says the serum is clear.bought at ulta mine has a brownish red color? Also kenra says this is not a heat protectant, only the shine is enhanced by heat.ulta says heat protection .be careful some sights have no clue. I ordered another to see if its tinted red, anyone else have this problem?

LOVE this. originally bought it for my hair, but it says you can use it on skin and I’ve actually been using it on my face for years. never bought another moisturizer or crème since discovering this. smells great and really softens my skin. great for hair too but I don’t use it in my hair as much

On the market again to try something new for my hair. I randomly picked this up because I’m forever battling my frizz issue. I’ve tried numerous serums. Some are great, some are too heavy and some are worthless. Well, this one is amazing.
First, I need to go on about the smell. It smells like fake 80’s strawberries. The smell takes me right back to my childhood. I think there was a doll that smelled like this but I can’t put my finger on it. Anyway, it smells just like that thick squeeze tube strawberry sauce they use at ice cream shops.
Okay, most importantly is how it works right? Well, it does immediately take down frizz. It feels lightweight too. It also gives my very matte brown hair a lot of shine. However, it doesn’t last that long and I have to reapply later on during the day. Because my hair is so coarse and frizzy, any bit of humidity makes me hair go crazy. But, I would much rather reapply than to start off with a product that is too heavy and makes my hair look greasy.
I like to use two pumps first on clean damp hair before blow drying it and use another two pumps to finish it off once dried.
Overall, a well deserved five lippies and I would repurchase this.

Fine and thin haired gal over here! I work as a stylist and this stuff is awesome. I love that it comes in a plastic bottle with a pump, super cute and durable. Easy to access the right amount! Smells amazing, lightweight, easy to distribute evenly throughout the hair. Looks shiny and healthy all day. I use this at home every day after a shower on damp hair, and on a majority of my clients. Love love love and will definitely buy again!!

Absolutely adore this product ! I have very thin, fine hair semi straight hair. I straighten my hair maybe once a week and I always run some mid way to the ends of my hair and then run the straighter over it. Makes my hair silky soft, shiny and keeps my fly aways at bay. I will say however if you use too much of this it will make your hair extremely oily. * less is more * in this case.

I cant ever get enough of ANYTHING in the Kenra Platinum line (with the exception of the dry shampoo that i dont care for, and the hairspray that I have only used once, and thought was avarage). You will spend an arm and a leg on these products- I just shelled out over $300 at Ulta on 9 Kenra products last week- that will last me the rest of the year. This silkening gloss works so amazing. It smells so wonderful, and it lasts for hours. My hair feels so soft afterwards, it tames all of my fly aways and frizzies that I happen to have and just completes and finishes my look beautifully. I also love that everything in the platinum collection works well with one another, and does a good job complimenting each product. After I use ny kenra shampoo and conditioner, I towel dry and use my blow drying spray all over, apply a bit of straightening gel to the ends of my hair, and then i blow dry- in half the time it would normally take me. i section my hair, and use the thermal spray, flat iron the secion, apply a bit of the silkening gloss, go over it with the flat iron again- until i am done with each section. When I am finished, I use a touch more of the silkening gloss on any stray hairs, and on the ends of my hair to finish my look. I dont know many other lines that you can apply 4 different products without having weighed down and greasy hair. My hair is NEVER greasy after using my platinum line. EVER. In fact, some days in the winter i will go 3-4 days without washing my hair for extra moisture… and after a quick touch up with the flat iron, it looks just as good as it did on day one. I give it five lippies. Anyone who was not pleased with this product line has either ULTRA oily hair, or did not use then correctly… because I find them foolproof and very forgiving! And they are addicting with how well they work and how amazing they smell… worth every single expensive penny- hands down.
