So far I love Phyto styling products. This is the best thermal protectant on the market! I have gone through so many bottles and I never buy anything again unless I really like it. Its a sprayable lotion type consistancy and it really protects my hair from heat styling. It also doesn’t affect the effectiveness of the flat iron, which another reviewer mentioned. This product has good ingredients, has great fresh scent and is silicone and alcohol free. The only negative is the price, I bought my first bottle at Ulta for $32. I was able to find it on Ebay for $15 – $20 price range with free ship. I will always continue to purchase this.

This is a brilliant product to keep hair smooth and protected from heat. With very little scent, and exceptionally lightweight, you can use it on towel dried hair and also a spritz on dry hair for a quick re-shape when you don’t have time to wash your hair. I’m on to my third bottle and I’ll definitely be using it from now on. It also makes your blow dry last longer.

Does what it’s supposed to do, conditions parched, damaged hair to survive heat styling, but within 24 hours my baby-fine, colortreated strands were clumped together and gummy. Would probably work better for normal to coarse hair.

With so fine curly hair, I needed something that will protect me from heat damage without making my flat iron less effective or weigh down my hair. It has very nice ingredients,a discrete fresh-floral scent and does wonders to my hair. It has a lotion-type consistency and it comes in a pump,I use it on damp hair and go on with the instructions or use it without heat afterwards just to minimize the frizz and have more beautifully shaped curls. It doesn’t only protects from the heat during styling your hair,it also nourishes it and the truth is that I feel my super fine hairs significally thicker whenever I use it upon straightening them.It also makes the straightening last longer and not get damaged by sweat (on the nape) or drizzling that easily. I definitely recomend it! Careful with the amount you’ll use each time though, because if you overdo it,then sure it will weigh your hair and/or make it oily! And don’t apply on the roots!

This product comes in spray bottle, has a lotion like texture and an amazing sweet floral smell. It doesn’t make hair greasy, doesn’t weight them down, it protect from heat really well, but I have a big issue with it. Each time I spray it on my hair within 15 minutes my face get covered in small red pimples!
Allergic reactions are very personal, I wish I could use this product, it’s the best one I’ve ever tried on my hair, but it destroys my face.
Tossing it away, but would recommend people who are not prone to allergies to try it out.

My hair is long, fine in texture and prone to oiliness. I wash it every third day and use dry shampoo in between. I’m always hesitant to try new products on my already limp oily hair for fear it will become more oily and flat. I wanted heat protection and I got that and more with this product. I spilt my clean damp hair down the middle like I’m making pig tails and use four or five sprays either side on lengths of hair and ends. Then I heat style or air dry. This makes my hair less frizzy, more shiny, protects from heat styling and detangles, and most importantly doesn’t weigh hair down in the least. I can see a clear difference when I use this to when I don’t. For beautiful hair, don’t forget the Phyto!????

I am currently on my 4th bottle of this and will continue repurchasing for sure! Before that I used the GHD heat protect spray for heat protection but it felt kind of drying on my already dried, heat-damaged, coarse hair so I though to give this a try and I am so glad I did!!
I love the texture of this! Feels somehow like a cream though it’s a hairspray but it has a rich texture and is very moisturizing on the hair.
The smell reminds me of the face cream my grandma used to apply on her face but it is not overwhelmingly strong! I kinda like it!!
It takes a longer wait than the GHD one before I start straightening my hair as it dampens the hair more. It can be used as a leave-in conditioner BUT it also has all the right ingredients (hydrolyzes proteins) that make it a great heat protector too.
The only thing I don’t like is the plastic bottle. I would prefer something fancier!
I usually buy it from online pharmacies for 11,5 euros.

I originally got this product in a trial size, in a kit. I probably wouldn’t have purchased it otherwise, because it’s expensive, at $32 Canadian for 5 oz. I bought a full-size bottle as soon as I ran out. I’m now on my 2nd full size, and I will never be without this, as long as they keep making it.
My fine damaged hair is very prone to snarls, and I started using this as a detangler/leave-in (after in-shower conditioner). I noticed it’s also an excellent heat protectant, even though it doesn’t have any cones in it. I guess this is a benefit of all the hydrolyzed botanical proteins. I had a problem with cones a couple of years ago. I’d been using them every day, and my hair became very rope like and gross. It took several months to carefully remove the build up once I realized what I’d done. Now I’m a lot more conscious of what I’m adding to my hair, and this hasn’t given me any cause for concern!
If I’m at home, I’ll mix this with the Phytodefrisant before styling, but if I’m travelling, I only bring the spray and it’s fine.
I also tried the Phytokeratine cream leave-in (not the gold one, the one in the white bottle) but it doesn’t have the same nice detangling effect, so I prefer this spray.
My other HG is the Secret de Nuit overnight cream. It almost doesn’t even seem to matter which shampoo i use, as long as I use these two products, my hair is happy!

Allow me to preface my review by stating that after years of attempting to coax my fickle neither-straight-nor-curly hair into waves, I recently began styling it straight. I wash my hair every second or third day. On days that I wash, the blowout takes care of straightening. On non-wash days, I touch up with a flat iron. I use Phytokeratine Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray on the days I use a flat iron. (I use Phytodefrisant Botanical Straightening Balm for blowouts.)
I can’t use hair products with silicones of any kind. Finding a heat styling treatment without silicones was a trial, but Phytokeratine Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray is a rare bird in this hair care category as it is, in fact, silicone-free.
I am quite pleased with Phytokeratine Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray. The scent is fresh and light and does not linger. Straightening my hair, particularly the wavier sections, is easier with this product. I only have to use one pass of the iron to do the job. Caveat: my fine, chin-length hair is wavy at best (2a, 2b) and straightens without a lot of fuss. This spray provides decent protection from sweat and humidity, helping maintain my straight locks better than Phytodefrisant. Given there are no plant oils or silicones, this product does not impart any noticeable shine. However, that also means this product does not weigh down my fine hair or leave it feeling coated or oily. I have not experienced any product build-up, nor does this product hasten my need to wash my hair.
In the month I’ve been using this, I haven’t noticed any damage and my stylist was impressed with how healthy and soft my hair is. Is it all down to this product? I doubt it but I’m willing to acknowledge that this spray probably plays a part in protecting my hair from the heat of the flat iron.
What I am less pleased about is the cost ($32 USD). While I wish this cost less, the price is pretty equivalent to similar high end thermal sprays. I’m willing to pay for a product that is formulated without silicones and meets my expectations.
For my hair type and texture (normal, fine, straight with wavy sections 2a, 2b), Phytokeratine Repairing Thermal Protectant Spray, performs well. My hair is healthy, soft, and swingy. This spray makes straightening my fine, slightly wavy hair easier and keeps helps keep it straight longer. This is not a mircale in a bottle and I have my doubts about how well this might work for thick, curly, coarse or overprocessed hair, but I’m happy with my results. As long as they continue to formulate this spray without silicones, I will continue to buy it.
