i really like this product. it says pomade, but it’s like a hair grease without the bad ingredients. most pomades tend to be more waxy.
the only con for me is that i’m not crazy about the smell. however, i starting to lean over to the side of not liking foodie smelling products. to me it doesn’t smell like burnt sugar. it smells more like a funky vanilla candle.
on the plus side, it’s not too greasy and it left my hair feeling very soft. i use over my oyin’s hair dew. i will def buy a bigger size next time. but a little goes a long way so the 4 oz jar should last a long time.

Great at keeping my blow-outs under control! I use this religiously in the winter when wearing my natural hair in a blow-out style. It is also really great when paired with Oyin Honeyhemp Conditioner for a twist out or braid out. Smells like chocolate candy!!

I am a recent natural hair convert, and making the transition couldn’t have been easier with awesome products like Oyin’s Burnt Sugar Hair Pomade. Its scent is reminiscent of fluffy pancakes and golden syrup. The texture is creamy in the jar, and liquifies in your hand after a few seconds of friction. NOTE: Never use this product with out 1. warming it up in your hands or 2. popping it in the microwave for a few seconds. I use this product every other day to lock in moisture in my hair and scalp. I most often use the Burnt Sugar Pomade in a 1 to 1 mixture with Oyin’s Whipped Pudding. I find that this mix gives me the right consistency of product for my hair, although I use them separately on occasion. I purchase the 8oz. jar, and it lasts 2-3 months. Will definitely continue to repurchase. If you are African American, and if you are Natural, AND IF you are looking for an amazing product to moisturize your hair… do yourself a favor dear, and head straight to Oyin’s website and get this product! =]
