Fragrance is pleasant, NOT fruity or flowery or overpowering.
(like that stuff in the purple bottles…you know what I’m talking about hair spray old-schoolers!)
This is great if you have thick & heavy hair.
I use this for volume at the roots for extra oomph or “zhjooj”
Can end up a bit stiff so spray light and a bit far from the area, 1-2 sprays works.
I knocked one lippie off because it’s alcohol-based. There are water based hairsprays from more organic cosmetic companies but those are $12+. So Suave max-hold is my cheap go-to hairspray 🙂

This was the only hairspray I used when my hair was long. I didn’t need volume, but rather just something to keep down the fly-aways. But when I cut my hair short (above my ears), I needed volume and this hairspray is too heavy for that. However, my mom and sister only use this so it must work for some people!

Not good for me!! I don’t think it added any hold. Maybe my hair is too heavy & style resistant. My hair is a medium texture so this might work if your hair is fine. It’s a shame because I loved the price!

This hairspray is awesome!! I absolutely love it and my hair reacts to it very well. it holds 24 hours for me until i wash it out. it is a great product for teasing hair and teasing into bumps

This hairspray is really hard to get out of my hair and way too sticky. I’m going to try a few others but ultimately I need something that isn’t so sticky and washes out without having to use a clarifying shampoo.

This stuff sucks. I curl my hair with hot rollers almost every day and I tired spraying this to keep the hold one day and it actually made them flop because it’s super heavy and dosn’t mist out it all hits in one area. It’s sticky, crunchy and dosn’t even hold. awefull. I know non aerosols are better for the enviroment but this just dosn’t do the job.

This Suave Hairspray flattens my hair before holding but it does have some holding power Formula is too wet. I have used many times before and had good results how ever It feels like they have changed it and watered it down.

Suave comes up with the best products especially their hairspray. It is really cheap and it really works. I’ve tried many hairsprays and mouses expensive and cheap. But none of it compares to Suave Max Hold Hairspray #8! It does the work, got the strength hold, leaves a decent shine, and it doesn’t have that agonzing scent that burns your nose.. It is like the ultimate hairspray. And my favorite entire thing about this product is the quick dry time, I love it. It beats all of my other hair care products ever that I had. It dries in like 30-50 seconds. I can’t believe I found something so cheap and gives me the productivety of a product that can be unbelieveably expensive.

The hold is generally good, I really like the price. It’s hard to find a hairspray that cheap that actually provides a decent hold strength. And it dries relatively fast. My spray would dry in 30-40 seconds. Although I could get better, I just can;’t afford it quite yet..

I bought this last week on a whim. I love how this holds my style without looking like I used any hairspray at all. I’ve tried other sprays, but this is a keeper. Update 5/4/09: I had to downgrade my rating because this hairspray makes my head itch where I spray it! I also don’t like how sticky this makes my bangs, but it’s also the only hairspray that I can find that actually holds my style in place.
