I like the beachy smell. I don’t scrunch my hair with this but mist it on my damp hair then clip it up for the rest of the morning. When I let my hair down it has some volume but I can still comb thru it.

I got a generous sample of this from Sephora. Sorry, but I disagree that it smells amazing. I think the smell is nauseating. Fake coconut and quite potent at that. And it does nothing except make my hair look grimy.

It’s sooo good. Smells like heaven and does give a texture and hold to the hair. I’m so happy I picked this up!! It gives a tousled, sexy, beachy waves vibe. It is a small bottle for the price point but it’s worth it. Mai Tai is good stuff! And the names are just so cute!!

I was talked into purchasing this by a SA at Sephora while browsing hair products. I explained that I was looking for something that would add a bit of definition and clumpiness to my waves.
She claimed it’d do just that without weighing my thin, fine hair down. I tried a bit in the store, and it definitely added some texture, so I took the plunge.
When I first tried it on damp, air-dried hair, my waves turned out lovely, but felt dry to the touch and a bit frizzier than I’d prefer. Today I applied a bit of leave-in conditioner on wet hair before using this, and I’m liking the result!
My waves are still loose, which I like, but this seemed to make them more uniform and nicely clumped. My hair actually feels quite soft, and there’s actually a lot more body than usual, and no frizz.
I’m still wary of the potential for this to dry my hair over time like similar products I’ve tried, but I’m hoping this could be the magical exception to that. One lippie off because my hair isn’t as shiny as I’d prefer, but it certainly doesn’t look matte either.
Really hoping I can use this successfully on second-day hair, because I really don’t want to wash it every day but haven’t yet found anything to make it look halfway decent otherwise. Will update when I give that a shot!

This spray smells amazing. I had a chance to get a blowout at Drybar last week and they used this on my hair to create my Dirty Martino blowout. The dirty martini is a sort of Giselle/Blake Lively beachy undone wave look. They spritzed this in my hair pre and post style. I was expecting this to be like the Bumble and Bumble Beach product. It really is more like their volumizing hairspray but not as concentrated. My hair is not sticky with this in it. What it did was create volume, memory and hold on my wet hair so it could be blown out into nice waves. On dry hair it adds texture. On the 2nd day, I sprayed some in and just coaxed the waves from the blowout. It made my blowout last longer. I bought the kit with the Mai Tai, some cute clips, a small brush and the triple sec. The Triple Sec is another great product but that is for another review. I have been using the products at home and it does make it much easier to get a great style that lasts.

I recently cut 8 inches off my hair into a long bob and have been trying out different products to bring out waves and texture while air drying. My hair has lots of natural wave but needs a little something to add definition and some hold. I’ve tried several sea salt sprays (Oribe, Alterna, Fekkai) and this one is my favorite so far. I have not tried b&b or Josie Maran (two that are on my list to give a whirl), so I will probably give those a go, but I am really loving this one by Drybar. It does not make my hair feel sticky and stiff like some other sprays, and it offers good grip and texture. I spray it all over after using a leave-in conditioner (AG Fast Food, atm), the scrunch a bit. I then twist clumps of hair, making about 8 twists around my head and let air dry or use a diffuser if I need to speed up the process. Besides the great results, the smell is TO DIE FOR. It has a very nice, sweet scent that I get tons of compliments on. I will definitely repurchase.
