   I recently bought this brush in Medium, even though I have fragile (hypothyroid issues) hair. I liked the ball-tipped ends on the Medium better than the sharper ends on the Fine. It works great! and I’m not losing as much hair in the brush. I still use a very wide toothed comb after washing but then use this the rest of the day. Great brush, I really like it and would buy again. May even try the Fine version too. Would love to find a smaller, oval version also.

   I’ve used a comb for decades to detangle my wet hair after washing it, and I haven’t styled my hair since I was a teen, so I never had any desire to buy anything but a new comb when the one I had broke. But the onset of perimenopause is causing my fine, straight hair to be replaced with curly white medium hair, it is making my trusty comb a bit of a destructive item as the fine hairs seem to break so much easier. So off to the beauty store with a detangler brush on my list. I was seriously considering a tangle teezer or a wet brush to see if their claims of less breakage was true but the tangle teezer seemed awkward in my hand and cushion brushes never last as either the cushion quickly pulls out from the handle or bristles fall out.
   I saw this brush and yeah, I’ll admit I tried several brushes in the store on my hair, and really liked how this one glided through it, so I got it. It comes in three different styles, one for fine hair, one for medium hair and one for thick hair, and each has the same handle design but different bristles designed specifically for the corresponding hair type.
   I got the one for fine hair as the majority of my hair is still fine and it is also recommended for fragile hair (and fine hair can be fragile regardless of being healthy.) I also liked the idea of a flexible vented brush head so it would dry off quickly.
   The first time I used it on my wet hair I felt like an idiot for not trying a brush made specifically for detangling until now, because it is like a hot knife through butter and my usual little tiny wad of loose hairs turned into just two hairs trapped in the brush. I was thinking about tossing my hair comb but I gotta keep something around to eventually clean the brush, but even just lightly raking my fingers across it get out the few hairs that accumulate.
   I definitely recommend the fine hair one to anyone looking for something that is super gentle on their hair, but feel if anyone with thick hair attempted to use it they would damage the brush and should get the corresponding iDetangle brush. The bristles on the fine brush are very small in diameter and flex when under pressure – which is why I think it works so well – and I know from having dated a guy who had very thick black hair that people with this hair type needs to use some pressure to get a brush through and he broke my treasured and expensive vent brush I had for 20+ years after using it a few times.
   My only complaint with it is its size, it’s definitely not travel friendly nor purse friendly, so I may eventually buy a smaller brush made by someone else to carry in my purse. But I definitely would replace it if I lost it or it broke!
