I picked this up because it was NZ $5 on sale. Hated the scent, it made me sneeze and lasted all day smelling like a spicy mens aftershave .
PROS
– Medium hold
– Sprays evenly
CONS:
– Contains alot of alcohol and dried out my hair
– Makes hair feel slightly crispy
– The scent pongs and lasts too well. I wake up the next day stinking of mens aftershave. It does not make me feel glamorous and competes with my own perfume.

No matter what style I do, this hairspray helps hold my hair perfectly and also look subtle. It hasn’t got the disgusting hairspray smell which is an immediate positive! Would purchase again and again!

I have a hairspray aversion from having tried so, so many over the years that just did not work for my hair. It seems that no matter what I would do technique-wise, they all IMMEDIATELY made my hair fall flat. It would make me beyond mad to spend time (I don’t have) curling my hair to try to set it with hairspray and immediately have the curls fall flat. And obviously, hairspray is not the kind of product you bother trying again: it either works for you the first time, or it doesn’t. So my sister has been the recipient of dozens of cans of hairspray over the years that I’ve used once & hated. I’ve tried all the higher-end and expensive ones (Elnett – most revolting scent ever) to cheaper ones that just do nothing (Tresemme). My sister turned me on to this T&G hairspray, which she had been buying at Target. It’s a little pricier than average drugstore brands, but not nearly as pricey as salon brands: I think I paid around $9-$10 USD. It is worth every penny, and I will be distraught when it is discontinued. Not only does this product provide amazing all day hold, but I find it also provides something of a dry shampoo effect. I typically don’t “style” my long hair; my curling iron hasn’t been out of the drawer in over 2 years. A few times a year, I’ll break out my waver or the hot rollers, but that’s about it. Typically, I wash my hair, blowdry, & then twist my fully dried hair in one or two buns at the nape of my neck, go to sleep, and shake out the curls/ volume in the morning. I repeat this on day two and sometimes day three. By day two, my curls aren’t as impressive, and by day three of no washing, they are downright flat. Enter this hairspray! I take out my bun and spray the heck out of my hair with this hairspray. Insane volume instantly! It looks like I washed and styled for hours! It is a lifesaver. I hold the hairspray relatively far away from my head, flip my hair upside down and spray, and spray a bit on each side under the front of the hair, that’s it. I do use a lot. I can’t speak to how well this product “holds” an actual meticulously styled hairdo (like an updo). But I can say it does not make my so-called hairstyle fall flat. I have very damaged, thin blonde hair, and this makes me look like I have Julia Roberts Pretty Woman hair. It also works well for “re-applying” later on in the day if it starts to fall flat again. I just have to be sure to really deep condition with the next wash, because it does seem to dry/ slightly “damage” my hair. This hairspray also does not have a terribly strong fragrance. It has a fragrance, don’t get me wrong, but it is very gender-neutral & non-offensive, IMO. I also found that the can contains a lot of product; I use quite a bit with each application, using it about 1-2 times a week, and this can has lasted me several months. I highly recommend this hairspray & would not be without it.
