I use Gatsby Air Rise (the green one) for my long layered hair. I have an asian “mullet” haircut, and this product really works to volumize and shape my shorter layers. I only need a little bit of wax to style a full head of hair. It smells a little like apples, but the scent is not overpowering in any way. If you live outside of Asia, it’s easily available (and cheap!) on a particularly well known bidding site that shall not be named. ;D

I have very fine straight hair which lies flat and volumeless. Gel + finishing spray gives me some root volume but it can look a little crunchy and obvious. If I use less gel + work in a little of the Purple Gatsy (Wild Shake) straight after, then use the finishing spray, I can get natural looking volume which is long lasting. A HG for me.

Gatsby is advertised as made with a special “rubber” that’s different from normal waxes and pomades. The most significant effect of this that I’ve noticed is the ability to restyle your hair later in the day without using any additional product. I’ve taken a nap, woken up, then restyled my hair with my hands to have it look almost as perfect as before.
I LOVE GATSBY. The packaging is durable, convenient, and stylish, and I’ve never had a problem with leaks. It has a very light citrus smell which is pleasant and never overpowering (I absolutely hate strong smells). The hold is natural-looking and lasts all day. A little goes a long way so one container lasts forever.
I’ve used Gatsby Moving Rubber from when my hair was chin-length to now, when it’s below my shoulders. This product is most effective on hair with lots of layers.Though I personally use the green or orange for volume/light hold, stronger ones like the pink are perfect for guys/girls who are trying to get the look of natural, soft, (gravity-defying) anime hair. This is what my friends from Japan actually use. I also have a few Caucasian friends who use this and they love it too.
