I’ve had this product in my cupboard for so long, I can’t even remember in which year I bought it, but it was a really really long time ago, I’m guessing more than 5-7 years? And I just finished it the other day, so as you can see it’s not a product I reach for often. In fact, I use this product when it’s too hot in my house in the summer to dry my hair and I’ve let someone else borrow my other beach spray products to try them, so it’s really only my go-to product when I can’t find anything else.
It’s ok, helps making my hair matte and beach-y a bit if I scrunch them a lot and wear them in a bun or in braids while they dry, but it makes them feel coated and kind of greasy the next day. The product really need help from a bun or braids to work, if you only let your hair air dry they just look wavy in a unkempt way.
The smell is a typical Fructis smell, you like or you hate. I like, it reminds me of my high school year when everybody washed their hair with fructis. The packaging is young and fluorescent, it doesn’t look high class or classy at all, just young and funky, typical Garnier Fructis packaging.
I’m happy that this product is finally used up and I won’t buy it again.

This is really working well for me. My hair looks better the longer I don’t wash it, but I can’t stand having dirty hair. I can last two or three days and then that’s it. But this is a short cut to the dirty-but-awesome hair I want. It adds volume and texture to my long hair in just a couple of minutes. And it’s pretty cheap.

I use this product to detangle my hair and i spray it in my hair after i scrunch it!! It smells amazing!!!! But it doesnt keep the hold of my scrunched hair that well.

After I curl my hair with my hair straightener, I spray it about 4 times and scrunch my hair. It holds my curls very well & it doesn’t harden my hair.

I have layered, straight hair that tends to look boring and flat if I don’t do anything with it. Since it’s almost summer I’ve been excitedly purchasing tropical/beachy products, and bought this to texturise my hair and maybe give it a beachy look.
So I sprayed it into dry, straight hair, tousled and scrunched it a bit, and nothing happened. I tried taking a shower, applying mousse and then spritzing this into damp hair, then scrunching it and tying it into a messy bun. When I let it out – WOW. Instant beach waves. It needed a bit of adjusting and more scrunching but I was so excited, I had never had waves before.
This spray has a nice fruity/beachy smell and the texture is just like water. No matter HOW much you spray in your hair it could never get oily. Sadly it does make your hair VERY dry and frizzy, especially if you use a lot, so you definitely need some kind of anti-frizz stuff afterwards.
For what this product does, I’m not sure that this is worth the price ($9 AUD) though. Also since it is like water, it’s easy to just spritz a lot and use up the bottle rather quickly.
After this bottle I think I might try the David Babaii Bohemian Beach Spray, but it’s twice the price!
(I found the review which recommended this as a volumising/holding hairspray rather strange, because it mentions nothing like that at all on the bottle/website. This is a texturiser, not a hairspray.)

This smells great but doesn’t really seem to do the job! I have layered shoulder length hair and this product doesn’t seem to define or ad texture at all….won’t repurchase.

I have fine but wavy/straight hair and find that certain products really weigh my hair down, so I decided to give this spray a try. It smells great! After towel drying my hair, I spray some in and scrunch away and it really helps to texturize and define my waves! I paired this with Pantene Curl Scrunching Mousse and then blow dry with a diffuser. This gives me some nice beachy waves. It gives my fine hair great volume and hold and if I add additional curls with my curling iron after, it holds those too (which is very rare for me!) I don’t find this product to be drying. Over all I was pleasantly surprised with this product. So far so good! I’ve been getting lots of compliments on my new ‘do!

This is an AMAZING hair product! It’s deffo one of the best I’ve ever used. Great for everyday in any season. I have layered hair that’s a bit difficult to keep up, but I just spritz some of this on and it texturizes my hair quite nicely. I’m a big fan of the messy beach look, so this is definitely a product for me. You can just wake up with a bedhead and use some of this on your hair, give it a little scrunch and tousle, and you’ll be ready to go. And hey, it smells like the beach! I’d buy this product for sure if it were on sale again.

i like this more than the surf hair paste just because it’s easier to use and wont get my hands all dirty. it makes my hair look too poofy and dry if i spray it in the hairs below my ears. i spray it at the roots of my hair to give it more volume, it works only to a certain extent, but it falls after a little while, so theres pretty much no point in using it. i gave it 3 lippies because it great as a holding hair spray when i tie my hair bank (similarly to the paste), nothing too strong to prevent movement. i wont buy this again because i can get a basic hairspray for cheaper than this.

does nothing except smell great.
