I absolutely love this spray!! My hair is VERY hard to hold and this spray gives me nice waves when used with a curling iron. After shampooing, I use BB Invisible Oil Primer on damp (not wet) hair and let it air dry overnight. In the morning I use this spray and a curling iron to create loose waves. I lightly spray it on in large sections, making sure I get underneath as well, and then I let it dry for a minute or two. It gives me nicely defined waves that I then loosen with my fingers. I then use a little flexible hold hairspray (Carol’s Daughter Monoi, which rocks btw) over the finished style and my waves hold all day even in the Florida humidity. Does It All also smells really nice, unlike a lot of styling products which often have a very chemically fragrance. This spray is not sticky or stiff and my waves have nice, natural movement. I think the trick to using Does It All is to spray it lightly. It’s definitely concentrated, so a little goes a long way. I’m on my fifth or sixth can of this spray. One can lasts me about two months or so. The good thing is, on the second day, I don’t need to spray any more if I decide to recurl my hair. But oftentimes, I don’t need to do anything the next day because the holding power of this styling spray is good enough to last through the heat and humidity. Yes, it’s expensive and I’ve yet to find an acceptable dupe, but I have a hall closet full of hair product FAILS that I’ve wasted countless dollars on, so I don’t feel uneasy about spending more for a product that actually does what it promises. The combination of the BB primer and this styling spray, gives me unbeatable hold and shiny, healthy looking hair. I definitely recommend both products highly and if I were on a deserted island, I would pine for both of them, lol!

I bought this thinking it was regular hairspray. Oops. I discovered it wasn’t, and was confused about what the heck it was for. I was angry that I spent $11 on a tiny can of uselessness. So, not wanting to waste my $11, I experimented…and discovered it’s actually a wonderful, multi-use product.
Some background: I have fine hair, but a decent amount. It’s flat and limp, straight, and silky. It hates to hold a style. It’s kind of like a very limp, silky mop.
Here is what I do: I shower and wash my hair at night. I towel dry and apply Prep spray and the Styling Creme. I blow dry my hair like, 80% dry. I clip it into section. I take a section, spray the length of it with this, and blow dry that section and curl it on the end with a round brush. Repeat until all done. Brush it neat, and spray it in place. Go to bed. Wake up with styled hair that just needs brushed a bit and maybe a bit of Thickening Dryspun Finish on top.
It protects hair from the heat of the dryer, helps create a voluminous blowout, adds shine, and works as a flexible hold spray. A self-done blowout lasts 2-3 days (that’s the longest I can go without washing my hair), and the flexible hold is some serious stuff! Even on a day with 20moh wind gusts, my hair settled back into place. Another delightful bonus: it’s impossible to use too much. It doesn’t weigh hair down AT ALL. A huge bonus for those of us with fine hair, to whom it seems like oxygen itself weighs down hair. I even purposely tried to use too much, just to see where the cut-off was. There isn’t one. Spray the whole dang can on your head, whatever–it doesn’t matter.
I decided to try my routine without the Does it All, just to see if it was responsible for this difference. My hair was flat when I woke up, like I didn’t do a single dang thing to it. That answered my question.
This is a peculiar product, and I think they really shouldn’t call it a hairspray. I see a lot of poor reviews from people who were upset it had no holding power. I was, too, initially, until I figured out that isn’t what it’s for. Perhaps they should call it “multi-purpose styling spray” instead, to avoid confusion?

I am pretty underwhelmed by this product. I have long, healthy hair, and it is just not strong enough to keep any hold. I like that it’s light and not too heavy, but I MUCH prefer the B&B Spray de Mode.

Excellent final stage blow dry product. Enables enhanced styling control and capacity to re-create salon level finish at home. And, hair protection to boot! Veritable winner. Highly recommended!

Would not live without this spray. Hands down the BEST hairspray I have ever found. The mist is incredibly fine and still allows your hair significant movement without losing the style. Its not sticky or crunchy. I use it on wet hair before I style, then finish the style with the Does it All. I LOVE this spray. I’ve used this for about six years and take the travel size with me when I go anywhere. This is a MUST in my styling kit.

I normally stay away from any type of hairspray because in the past it has made my hair sticky or crunchy. However, I received a can of this and decided to tried it.
After flat ironing my hair, I am still left with frizz and flyaways. I spray this on and then brush through my hair and they are gone! And it doesn’t make my hair start to curl again. I am going to try using it before I flat iron too. I will probably purchase this once my can runs out, although it’s kind of pricey.

I usually am pretty happy with BnB products, however this was terribly unimpressive. I don’t mind smell, but this hairspray smells awful, its the worst smelling product I have ever used. It doesn’t do anything for my hair. Nothing at all ! I wonder how products like this continue to be made and bought. Overall, its too expensive and doesn’t do a darn thing.

This is awful. The first time I sprayed it on my hair all I could smell was alcohol. I checked the ingreadients and it is the n. 1 ingredient of this horrible product. It is itcy due to the amount of alcohol, does not do anything (I could not notice any difference whatsoever to my hair). It leaves the hair rather sticky and weights it down. Overall one of the worst hair products ever. The price is astronomical: buy Ellnet by l’Oreal, soooo much better at a fraction of the price.

I never was one to use hairspray because I like for my hair to move and be touchable – but my hairstylist used this after a cut, and I loved it! It’s like a “final polish” for the hair. It removes any leftover flyaways (on my fine, wavy hair that I blow dry straight), and it allows it to have a slight “clean/piecey” look, without adding any greasiness. It smells subtle.. probably just a hairspray scent, with a slight sweetness. It doesn’t seem to make hair stiff, no matter how much you spray – so if you’re looking for hold, look further. This will not hold a shape. I think it’s meant to “set” a loose hairstyle. I think it’s heavily overpriced for what it does (and it doesn’t do it *all* for all hair types). 🙂 I also enjoy the ultra-fine mist it distributes. No sudden mists to ruin a style. 🙂

The only hairspray I’ve ever liked. I wanted to buy the Spray de Mode because of all the good reviews, but it’s impossible to find here in Copenhagen, Denmark (has it been released in Europe at all??). So I decided to try Does it all.
I’ve been searching a long time for a product that gives me body and volume used on DRY hair since I never blowdry anymore. This is it! It gives my fine grip and body, making it way easier to style without ending up sticky or crunchy. Actually it makes my hair really soft with natural movement. Can’t believe I didn’t try this waaaaay before, now I can’t imagine styling my hair without it – and I’ve only had it for a week.
Plus, the travel size spray looks so cute. Will definitely repurchase the large size.
