I have fine, dry thinning hair. This does absolutely nothing to add volume to my hair. It smells awesome though; a lovely citrus scent.

This works wonderfully to give volume when i blowout my hair. But……i dont need heat with this product. I have pin-straight (Asian) color-treated hair. I do not have the time or patience to fight the natural texture of my hair. I also employ a gifted hairstylist who understands how to work with the texture of my hair. This means i have a terrific cut. I don’t do my hair. My stylist does my hair. Although my hair is “steel-belted” (as Kevin Mancuso would say), it is rare that i use a blow-dryer. So here is how i tested this product. 1. I washed my hair and squeezed out the excess water just with my hands. 2. I pressed my hair with paper towels to soak up even more water. 3. I parted my hair as usual. 4. I sprayed this mist throughout my hair and scrunched it into my hair with my fingers. 5. I left my house and just let my hair air dry. My hair looked full and voluminous with body but still touchable. I woke up the next morning……and my hair still looked fantastic. So while this product is kind of expensive……it works very well for me and i plan to repurchase.

My hair has always been very fine and limp. This product is truly amazing. My hair is full and shiny and looks and feels so thick. I don’t need to use any other product on my hair. Literally just 3 squirts of this mist and my hair is beautiful. I only wish I could give it more stars.

I received a generous sample of this from Sephora. On wet hair, I first put on a protective oil and then I use 4 sprays at the top of my head and crown, and 4 sprays down the length and run it through with my fingers. (I have fine bra-strap length hair). Then I blow dry my hair upside down. BOOM. This stuff WORKS to achieve awesome volume without making hair stiff or dried out like some similar sprays. The scent is negligible.
I typically use Oribe Maximista thickening spray and this stuff is very comparable to that. I think the pricing is similar for both products.
I would have no problem purchasing the full size of this once I use up the sample (and two nearly full bottles of Maximista!)
