Gads, for once I disagree with all my favorite sensitive posting gals, but, have to say, this product was a winner for me, and, as a person with fine highlighted hair, I have tried many and been disappointed as to volume adding products. What this did: added volume and smoothness without any clump up or tangles: yet did not decrease shine nor add grease….SO, I’m happy with it, for now: BUT, I have to add this fact: I had used Olaplex 3 right before this, and I suspect that this could have added some contribution or change as to my results…Time will tell. Best to you all.

I wish I read DKER’s review below before I bought this product. I also have Small Talk and I should have got a second tub of that rather than Motor Mouth. MM does NOTHING for my hair.
I was hoping to get a bit of ‘oomph’ but without heaviness – Small Talk sometimes can make my hair greasy when I apply more than half a pump. This one does not make my hair heavy even with a full pump but it does not add ANY volume whatsoever. It also has particles of glitter and the same fragrance as Small Talk. My hair goes all static and soft (not a good thing when you have thin, wavy hair which needs a bit of body to hold shape) when I apply it, with lots of annoying flyaways. I have not noticed any additional shine (luckily no glitter is visible either). At least I got it on sale (maybe that is why it was there!) and I still hope I make it work, maybe cutting it with some other product.
EDIT: Tried cutting it with a quarter pump of Small Talk but it does not really hold any volume like this either, like it neutralises any good action of ST.
The only plus? A nice, jolly packaging.

I like this it is almost like small talk. Except for the fact that it has sparkles in it. Claims to make hair more shiny. I may try to compare the two. Try this then try the other. I have both of them.

Marketed as being small talk with added shine and U-v glow. I can’t attest to the U-v part. But….it’s not really identical to small talk. Small talk has a couple of oils (jojoba and sunflower) that are really beneficial for my hair. I found motor mouth to leave me less shiny and no frizz control at all. It does smell better than small talk, so point there.
I use small talk when I need some styling hold with moisture and antihumectant properties, (aka super cold part of winter and super hot humid part of summer, or trips to the tropics). There isn’t any moisture retention, sealing, protecting, slip, or frizz control with motor mouth. Those couple of oils are a pretty crucial difference for my hair. FYI, both are glycerin free.
Glad I only paid $10 ish for this on sale, because I’m tossing a mostly full bottle.
