How is this product supposed to be used correctly? I have been searching all over Google and all I find is reviews. I went to the website on the can and it doesnt have any question section. Someone please help me. I have a little bit thick and very curly hair but i often flat iron it. I do have this product but i do not know how to use it. Can it help me or my hair and my situation?

I Love Love Love this product!! I never usually write reviews but using this has minimized my use for my flat iron. Apply to towel tried hair sparingly all over hair and then blow dry with a Flat Brush… this saves me so much time in the morning. I do still have to go over it with a flat iron sometimes a little but having super wavy/frizzy hair this definitely has helped to calm things down a bit.

A bit expensive, but I still have the same bottle from two years ago so I guess it lasts a long time. I carefully put this on after I straighten my hair and it keeps my frizzys down and my hair straight all day. If you put too much in one spot it will make that area curly and cause product build-up crispyness. Not good. So you have to be really careful. I will try putting it on when I blow dry like other reviewers and see how it turns out. The smell is to die for by the way.

I completely agree with sourskittleash – you MUST know how to use this in order for it to work right! I do exactly what she does, and even though my hair is already straight, it gives it nice body and sheen and a lovely scent. You have to shake it up a lot, so do a little dance with it! Use very sparingly and brush through then blow dry with a paddle or a round barrel brush. I like to use the round barrel brush to give my pin-straight hair volume. My mom and sister, who have wavy/frizzy hair, also use this and it works wonders on them. If you use too much it can definitely get sticky, crunchy and gross, so use just a bit and get to work! The can is huge, and I feel you definitely get a lot for the price.

LOVE! you have to know how to use this product properly: my stylist used it on me and warned me it’s tricky to use, but it made my wavy/frizzy hair soooo smooth and very straight after she was done blow drying and i bought it immediately!!
i use it at home and get the same salon result but it takes PRACTICE!! it’d be nice if it was easier to use but hey, it does a good job so can’t complain!
how to use:
– shake bottle very well
– on damp hair spray very lightly onto sections and brush out with a rectangle paddle brush as you spray on to distribute product evenly through strands of the hair… be careful not to use too much or concentrate in one area too much, because that’s when it gets crunchy, i would say 2 seconds of spray per 4 inch wide hair chunk
-as soooon as you’re done distributing the product through your hair, start your blow dryer and with the paddle brush straighten out your hair.. for those that dont know the paddle brush technique, this has saved me soooo much time blow drying my hair straight: the brush goes under the hair pulling it straight and blow dryer on top slides down with the paddle brush down the hair shaft
– concentrate heat abit longer than you would so the strokes of the blow dryer are slow and concentrated.. hair might steam abit but that’s the product heating up (dont get scared!)
– once you’re done with your hair it should be poker straight and if you’re a straight freak then you can flat iron abit
trust me i have been trying to straighten my hair since i was 14 (I’m 25 now) and this has been by far the quickest and best way to get my frizzy mess into sleek and straight!
fyi i use tigi dumb blonde shampoo and conditioner, then john freida frizz ease orange heat serum (very little), then kerastase ciment thermique (very little), and this… might sound like alot of products to some but you haven’t seen my hair! 🙂

I usually love almost everything by TiGi, but this was definitley disappointing. It made my wavyish hair a little straighter, but mostly dry, crunchy-like, and oily and gross looking. It’s such a big botttle, but I don’t think I’ll be using this up. I wouldn’t reccomend this product and I’m not buying it again.

I’m quite surprised to find out that I don’t like this considering I really liked everything else from the control freak line. I actually got this in a set with the serum (which I think it wonderful) I have also used the shampoo and conditioner with great results, so this was a big disappointment for me.
First of all, the packaging was awful. It wasn’t very user friendly. I had no control over where the product went. It really just made a mess everywhere. I didn’t like how it smelled either.
It did nothing to straighten my hair. It just made my hair really sticky and unmanageable. I tried it out a couple more times thinking maybe I did something wrong and used too much product, but had the same results every time. It made my hair feel way worse than when I started.
Like I said above, I love everything else in the control freak line, but sadly this was a major dud. I will not repurchase or even use again.

This reduced the frizz in my dry, coarse, frequently-dyed hair quite well, but only made it a little bit straighter. The downside, however, was dry, brittle and crunchy hair that was a bit tacky to the touch whether I used it on wet or dry hair. My hair was still brittle even after I’d washed it out. I also had a lot of trouble getting it to come out of the can as a spray. Most of the time it just came out in spurt of liquid that I had to disperse through my hair with my hands.

didn’t really make a difference in straightening my hair. if i use this before blow drying it makes it a bit less poofy, but if i air dry with this and then straighten my hair it doesnt help it get pin straight. i like RUsk str8 better to get the pin straight hair

I have super-curly hair, and I use this to tame it so that it’s not quite so full. I gave up straightening in the last year because my hair is so long and full that it took eons. I use this product now when my hair is wet to calm it down. It makes the curls more relaxed. The smell is great. It’s really good to use for a semi-messy semi-polished look.
