This review is for Bumble and Bumble Does It All Styling Spray. I really love this stuff! It holds my hard-to-hold hair really well and it’s not stiff or sticky at all. I use Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Primer on clean damp hair and then let it air dry overnight. In the morning I spray Does It All lightly all over my head, making sure to get underneath and the in-between section. It dries really fast and smells nice, not like hairspray at all. I then use a curling iron to create loose waves that, once cool, I loosen with my fingers. And yes, I can get my fingers through my hair after using this spray. It has invisible, natural hold that allows my hair to move. It can be used on the finished style as hairspray, but to conserve it, I use Carol’s Daughter Monoi h/s instead, which also gives me touchable, brushable hold that stands up to the Florida humidity. For years, I had the hardest time finding something that would hold my hair for more than 30 minutes. One day I was shopping in Sephora and looking at the hair care products. I told the SA my problem and he recommended Does It All. It was expensive but because I could return it if it didn’t live up to the hype, I went ahead and purchased it. It does require heat to activate the holding power, but it works great with any heated styling tool, including hot rollers. And the can is fairly large and lasts quite a while. On the second day, if I need to recurl, I don’t need to spray any additional Does It All because the heat reactivates the holding power. This spray is light enough for fine hair, btw. I’m not a big fan of Bumble and Bumble shampoos and conditioners (I find them so-so) but these two products, the primer and Does It All, give me shiny, sexy, beachy waves that last all day. There’s simply nothing better if your hair is hard-to-hold. If I were on a deserted island, these two HG’s would definitely be on my list of must haves. I recommend them both highly and hope they work equally well for you.

This is the ONLY hair gel I have ever liked or would ever buy again. The two main problems I have with hair gel are: most of them contain alcohol, which dries out my hair; and most are too sticky. Bumble and Bumble solved both of these problems in a really great gel that doesn’t flake, isn’t crunchy, and gives you medium hold. This is the best thing for smoothing the sides of your hair when you put it back into a ponytail. You can use a little or a lot. You will be able to get your brush through it. And there’s not an overwhelming smell – just a hint of fragrance that’s barely noticeable. It is the best gel I’ve ever used. The only possible con is the price – $26 for 5 ounces is higher than you’ll pay at the drugstore, but what other brands offer is sticky and usually alcohol-based. To me, it’s worth it, because I’ve ended up throwing so many others in the bin. I am on my third tube of this gel. I vary which B&B products I use depending on the style, the weather, how dry my hair is. This is my perfect ponytail gel.
