Hands down one of all time favorite products, for me it’s a must have. Is it expensive? Yes. It is worth every cent? Yes. If you are used to using an oil/serum on your hair, you would use this product similarly. I use it religiously after I wash my hair and put it on damp. It keeps my hair hydrated, and prevents split ends. I stopped using it for a weeks to try out another product, and my hair has never felt worse. My only tidbit of advice for this product would be to ONLY use it on your ends, otherwise it can make your roots look/feel greasy.

The only hair product that has ever made a noticeable difference in my hair. I have very thick, wavy, and coarse hair that is super prone to frizz. I first used this product when my hairstylist used it during my haircut, and couldn’t get over the smell. It really smells like fresh ginger! Also it made my hair super soft.
When I finally caved and bought this product ($27 USD for 3.4oz), I remembered why I loved it so much. My hair, which normally gets frizzy immediately after my shower, felt soft and silky without being weighed down at all. Using just this, my hair has been transformed and that’s saying a lot because I live in an extremely humid climate. Regardless of the shampoo I’m using, this has worked for me.
PROS:
-one pump makes hair soft, manageable, and beautiful
-does not leave heavy, greasy residue
-smells amazing
-great packaging; sleek, solid, and quality pump
CONS:
-expensive for packaged amount
This product is hard to come by – I found mine on Amazon. I’m so worried I might have to be without it that I’m going to buy another bottle!

Uh, I love this stuff but I kinda wish I didn’t because of its steep price tag. It always takes me a good while of using something before I realize I can’t live without it. I have lots of fine, wavy hair and I live in a fairly humid climate. Volume has always been an issue for me and this stuff doesn’t weigh my hair down one bit. I always had a problem with serums leaving my hair heavy and weighed down. In fact I don’t use anything in my hair to style it except this stuff and air dry. I spread half a pump in my hand and disperse it in my hair while it’s wet then let my hair air dry. Keeps my hair looking shiney without any frizz and people always think I take hours doing my hair. I will have to get more of this when I run out but I’ve had it for almost a year and I don’t think I’m close to finishing it anytime soon, but it’s hard to tell since the bottle is opaque. I wash my hair every other day so I use it quite often. It cost me 35$ from the salon I got it at so I will definetly shop around next time.

OMG this styling product smells so fantastic (like ginger and lemongrass), I almost wouldn’t care if it worked. The fact that it also adds unreal silkiness and shine is the cherry on top. I rarely blow-dry or heat-style so I can’t speak to that but I massage half a pump into freshly washed hair and it makes my hair look sleek and polished even a month past my last cut.
The only drawback is the price. I paid $16 for the 0.85 ounce travel size at my salon but given how little I use, I’d do it again.

I love this stuff!! I previously used Paul Mitchell’s Super Skinny Serum, which I love, but it’s pretty close between these two. I apply one pump to my hair while it’s still damp out of the shower, and one pump after I straighten or blow-dry it. It always leaves my hair looking silky and shiny, feeling soft, and never feels oily. Plus it smells amaaazing. Great product!

Appearance: The product comes in a black plastic pump tube. It has a woodsy ginger smell that is very pleasant to me.
Cost: I paid around 20 dollars for a 3.4 oz bottle.
Wearability: As with any styling oil or serum you have to be careful not to use too much product or you risk having greasy hair. So far a full pump covers my entire hair. For reference I have color treated coarse asian hair that is lower back length. I find this product helps to make my hair appear more smooth and leaves a nice smell. In terms of protecting again heat damage I don’t think it helps. I usually use this product when air drying my hair. If I am going to blowdry and curl my hair I use a separate serum and spray.
Overall thoughts: While I enjoy the smell from this product especially when paired with the matching shampoo I am not sure I would repurchase this. For the cost and what it does or rather doesn’t (protect against heat) I am not sure if it worth for just the smell alone. If they formulated to protect against heat damage I would definitely repurchase.

I plan to repurchase this, even though I have other serums that I need to use up. This is almost straight up silicones, which ordinarily would not impress me, but so far they have not built up or caused any dryness on my fine, dense, virgin, 1c/2a hair. I scrunch this up into the ends of my hair after I’ve towel-dried, and I’m left with very soft, glossy, manageable hair with healthy-looking ends and no build-up. This does not feel like a moisturizing treatment, like MoroccanOil, or a frizz reducer like my L’Oreal Nutri-Sleek, and it does not replace either of those. I must admit that this product is not essential to me and probably wouldn’t be essential for anyone else, but I’ve been very happy with the results, the scent, and the packaging. I use this more consistently than any other serum I’ve ever purchased, so I feel like I’m getting my money’s worth out of it rather than having it languish in a drawer. This is not inexpensive, but like I said, if I use it consistently, I don’t mind the price.

I love the smell of the Wild Ginger line. And for me, the smell is the best part of the Styling Treatment Oil. It also didn’t seem to weigh down my hair, but it did pull out some curl. It really feels no different than most of the modern serums (drier, less greasy formula from the serums of the past, silky feeling, etc-better than Frizz Eaze). This reminds me a lot of L’Anza’s Healing oil in look & feel. I still much prefer the original MoroccanOil Oil Treatment as when I apply it to my hair it looks & feels nourishing and doesn’t pull down my curls. Where as (like just about any other serum I have tried), the PM Wild Ginger Styling Treatment Oil just feels like a serum (not nourishing). Not to mention, I am never thrilled to see “castor oil” in the ingredients list of a hair products. This is why I think this pulled out my super fine curls.

I have very fine, flat hair and really not a lot of it. Ive always been afraid to put any sort of oil or even very moisturizing cream in my hair for fear of weighing it down. Instead, my styling products have always been volumizing and generally drying. As a result, Ive had frizzy *kinda* volumized hair that didnt hold styles well because it wasnt healthy.
I started using this every day in conjunction with It’s a 10 leave in conditioner and it has made an unbelievable difference in my hair and what I can do with it. I would have never guessed that using an OIL on my hair would actually give it volume (due to it feeling thicker and much more healthy).
This oil is pretty weightless and doesnt feel greasy. My hair is a little past shoulder length and 1/2 to one pump works for me.
