I have only used this once so far, but I am quite impressed by the results. I dampened my hair just a bit with a spray bottle filled with water, then blasted it with this product. At first I found the spray nozzle on this hard to use, but I quickly got the hang of it and it’s ok now. It sprays a lovely superfine mist which makes it easy to apply evenly, and that’s good because it allows me to use less product. You really don’t need much of this to do the job. I only bough the 2.1 oz size, which I expect will last at least 6 or 7 uses. I bet the full $40/8 oz size would last forever. This is easily a better value than Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray which is $25/4oz, which is a good product but I have to use a lot of it so the bottle doesn’t last long. Anyway, after applying product to slightly damp hair I sectioned hair in half and then into quarters. I twisted each section and pinned them at the back of my head. The next morning I had soft, pretty beachy waves. I dampened my roots a bit, tilted my head upside down and dried the roots to give my roots some lift. Then I misted more Après Beach Spray all over to finish. My hair looks so nice; lightly textured waves with definition and shine. I like that thiis gives shine but doesn’t weigh down my hair. I also like how this has a tiny bit of hold to it, just enough to help keep loose casual waves in place, but it doesn’t feel the least bit crunchy or sticky. Using this and my Living Proof PHD, my hair feels so soft it’s hard to resist touching it. And, of course, it smells gorgeous 🙂

I have stick straight Asian hair. I spray this product in damp hair, after I shower. When my hair is dry, it has more body and some wave to it. I like this spray because it adds texture and volume to my hair with out making it feel crunchy or coated with product. I really don’t like using products in aerosol cans and this isn’t travel friendly, but it’s a damn good product. Because the aerosol sprays out a lot of product I’m not sure if this will last very long, but I will most likely buy this again.

This is good stuff! I was surprised. My hair is fine and curly, and while I don’t want to wear it straight, I’m always trying to pull out the ringlets and get a beachy wavy look.
I had a day-old Velcro roller set when I first tried this, but it was definitely beginning to frizz up, and the Beach Wave fixed that. My hair suddenly had volume, texture and “grip,” but not stickiness, and I could manipulate and twist it into artfully unkempt waves. Also, the aerosol, while un P.C and a bit hard to aim properly., definitely feels glamorous and retro, as do the instructions to “wear with heels.” 🙂
I’m not wild about the smell but my husband liked it and it didn’t linger too long. On the downside, the bottle seems much too big to travel with.
I will report back after trying it on my normal post-shower frizztastrophe, but for now, thumbs-up–this is definitely better than that Fekkai cooling stuff.
