I don’t really care for the smell, but I think it works pretty well. Others have said it leaves hair somewhat sticky, and I agree it does if I use too much. That being said, I think it works pretty well and I really like the packaging, it makes the product easy to use.

I asked my parents to pick me up some flat iron spray & they bought me this because I said no Garnier & definitely no Tresemmé (Tresemmé makes my head itchy!). I was jonsing for that new Suave spray but hey don’t look a gift horse. I love Elnett Unscented (fave hairspray besides aussie), but I’d love to try the Elnett Europa version of this. As prev review below I also do wonder if they are at all similar? This is kind of sticky & the smell is strange & unpleasant. It does leave my naturally curly hair very straight & very shiny & I took a nap which usually my hair gets curly after laying on it for even a short period of time, it was still flat when I got up which is excellent so far I can’t wait to see how it fares the nite. I lovvveeee the packaging thou, it’s similar to Tresemmé’s but I will save the bottle & pour some other product into it when/if I use this up. I could see buying Garnier possibly & transferring it. I’m appreciating the Garnier more now that I’ve tried a couple of other flat iron sprays smh. Our stores around here don’t carry a lot of flat iron sprays so unless u wanna order online or go to Ulta ur kinda limited in choices. It will take me awhile to use this up! I do flat iron my hair nearly 4-5 days out of the week w touch ups during the day. I will not be repurchasing nor recommend this to anybody becoz this is just an average product but 5 lippies for packaging/price/availability/quantity (big bottle)/keeps ur hair definitely very straight/imparts shine/volume (which is what it’s sup to do (boo hiss for scent! Ugh!).

Previously I used a small size of the Nexxus heat protex that someone gave me, but I couldn’t find it in store and didn’t want to pay a lot since I really use it only a few times a year, so take my review with a grain of salt. I got both this and the boost it blow out spray, just to use when I do heat treat my hair, which is extremely rare. So I grabbed these because of the ok reviews and also the price. I do love the packaging, as far as the spray and how it locks. That’s neat. Though the bottle is a bit excessive in the plastic covering.
I tried this once on half my hair with the other one on the other half, just to see how it felt without heat. Both seemed to feel ok. I didn’t over do it but I specifically wanted a spray instead of a creme or serum because I didn’t want to feel it there. Both smelled ok.
In the end, I felt like I really didn’t need two and the Flat Iron one seemed a bit lighter on the hair. I returned the Blow Out spray, and since then, that one had received worse reviews while this one still has ok ones.
Update: I used this while heat styling and it was nice, but I also discovered Blow Pro’s Heat is On, and I looovee that, I use that every time I wash my hair, even though I hardly heat treat. I still like this one, it smells nice. I might still use it up, as an additional protectant when I do heat style. I do love the packaging and would refill it with the Blow Pro when it’s empty.
UPDATE 2: The more I use this the more I like it. I still use the Blow Pro after every shower just as a protectant but I use this before blow drying, curling or flat ironing and I’m loving it. The smell that lingers is lighter than it first seems and it’s nice. My hair isn’t sticky or tacky AT ALL! This stuff is really great. It feels soft and undamaged after heat treating. I’m super happy and WILL buy it again. The only caution is beware of it on tile floors, the left over bits that fall will make the floor really slippery! Lol. I also found out Blow Pro is discontinued :\ I used them for two different purposes though and would continue to buy this for actual heat treating if they don’t discontinue it. I also use it on my kids hair and it detangles better than other sprays I’ve bought for them. I’m also interested in Pravana Nevo.
