I’m in my late forties with light, freckled normal-to-dry skin and adore this product. I have this in two shades that I blend in using a damp beauty sponge, which takes mere moments and blends to a beautiful skin-like, satiny finish. I prep my skin with moisturizer, anti-aging serum, and eye-cream and use loose powder to set after application. The powder makes this foundation stay in place more than without powder; this product doesn’t oxidize on me at all. I am extremely impressed with the performance at this price point, and the superb color range (as so many companies now only offer warm or cool undertones, and ColourPop offers genuine neutral undertones which are truly neutral). In the US you can buy this from their website right now for $12 USD each… a ridiculously low price for a superb, excellent performer.

As someone who has dry skin this foundation is FABULOUS. It doesn’t cake or flake. But as someone very pale but also very cool toned they don’t have my color. I have to mix a very light neutral with a darker cool tone to get a decent effect. And it does work. The best part about these is that they’re good for contouring. I have a round face so I use more of the darker color on the lower half of my face.
My only problem about it isn’t their fault. I’m very translucent and this is a more full coverage look. Those inherently always look like painting over glass or something because it’s obviously on top of translucent skin. I’ll continue to try different application techniques to see if there’s a way to improve it.
They DO NOT like physicians formula primers. I’ll tell you that.

I read some other reviews about it being too dry or drying. It’s winter in NJ so even though I have combo skin I make sure to moisturize and I use NYX Hydra Touch Primer Oil as my primer. I use this as my primer all winter. That being said, I didn’t find it to be drying. I use a brush to spread after applying to my face. I found it matters which brush I use too. I tried a real techniques stippling brush and it looked like pooh. It’s light to medium buildable coverage. I found that my Luxie brush 1010 does an excellent job of blending. It says contour brush but when I read up it stated it was excellent for blending. So the primer and blending brush makes all the difference. It’s very natural looking. I use milani prep set and go powder very lightly with a brush before applying my bronzer and blush. It still takes some time to truly set and not transfer but it will dry down. The price is cheap and the stick makes it nice for travel.

This is a so-so foundation stick that didn’t really perform to my expectations. I bought this as part of a deal for $20, pick a foundation, concealer and powder. I love the powder, love the concealer except for a few issues, but this, this I wouldn’t buy again. I like stick foundations, although it seems to be tricky to find a good one. I’m not sure why. I found this to be pretty dry. Right away on application, it didn’t feel smooth going on, kind of had a “drag” to it. The coverage is ok, you can get a good medium with it, but also can sheer it out with a damp beauty blender. I couldn’t really find a great application method with this, I tried several to try and make it look better. Different brushes, sponges, fingers. It settled into my pores and left me with the dreaded white dots, even with a few different primers I tried. It looked kind of dry on initial application, but throughout the day it looked even dryer. I tried three different setting sprays with it. (My skin is combination; fairly normal these days, with a bit of an oily t-zone, and dry under the eyes.) I think it might be ok for a concealer (not for under-eyes, but maybe on other areas of the face, maybe with a powder foundation over it?) but basically, it’s not worth the work to try and make this work. Because then I get to work and throughout the day I look in the mirror and wish I hadn’t worn it.
I have just recently tried ColourPop. I am so in love with their Lux Lipsticks, and I love the palette that I bought. The setting powder is great, too. But this is a pass for me.

I swipe this over where it’s needed and blend with firstly a stippling brush and then a sponge, before using a setting powder. It’s super buildable, gives fantastic coverage with very little product and doesn’t make me any oilier in my t-zone, nor accentuate dryness in other areas. I use 120 w and it’s a near perfect match, the best part being how natural it looks and how long it lasts – I got 12 hours out of it yesterday (and potentially longer if I hadn’t removed before going to bed). If I’d blindly tried this without knowing a thing about it, I would never have believed it’s a $7 foundation! Got a few others to try out over the next few weeks but I’m pretty sure I’ll be coming right back to this one…

I like this better than the foundation. Getting a good color match is half the battle here. I used the color finder and it worked well. Pretty pleased with it’s performance – for $10 you can’t go wrong. Colourpop always has sales, too. This is not as full coverage as some sticks. Great if your skin is normal to slightly dry.

I received this about 2 weeks ago and have worn both this and other foundations I have, to compare the wear-time, texture, etc. in the same weather and conditions. I have probably had over 80 different foundations throughout my whole short life. To be honest, I didn’t expect much from this as half of the reviews I’ve seen or read are negative. However, some people really liked it (unlike the fluid foundation, which Kathleen Lights was pretty much the only fan of), so I thought it was worth trying for $10 and free shipping (they did that… maybe 3 times during the autumn-winter of 2018, but not ever before).
I have sensitive, mostly normal skin, slightly oily in the T-zone and slightly dry around my mouth and cheeks. I chose the color W25 for my NC20, yellow-olive skin. It’s a pretty good match, although more like an NC17, so, very slightly too light, but can be darkened with powders and bronzer. The next color up seems to be W50, which seems a bit too dark. I can see how some people think it enhances the texture of their skin – it basically offers no benefits in terms of texture. However, my skin doesn’t have much texture aside from some bigger pores in the T-zone, so the texture wasn’t an issue. I used a beauty-blender-type sponge to blend this – not a brush, as brushes can lift up some flakes if you have dry skin. I feel this blends out pretty easily.
The coverage is medium. On my skin, this lasts all day – longer than some of my other foundations do. I always set foundation with powder, so the powders I use might contribute to the longevity of this. Right now, I use No7 Loose setting powder under my eyes, T-zone and under my chin, and Ulta Powder Foundation on the rest of my face. Aside from that I like the longevity of this, my sensitive skin seems to really like it, which actually often DOES contribute to longevity of foundations, as the skin then produces less oil, sweat and other chemicals that are supposed to protect it. This foundation ha no fragrance, most of the ingredients are very safe, and my skin seems really calm when I use this.
I like this a lot. The packaging, the consistency, that my skin likes it, the longevity. I don’t think it’s a bad product, but some people’s skin must not like it – maybe because it has some ingredient they don’t tolerate very well. I would recommend trying this if you want to try a stick foundation.

About other Colourpop-stuff I have and what I think about it:
– shadow palettes: love – their eyeshadows are great (I have 10 of their palettes)
– pressed shadows: love – most have great consistency and are very long-wearing. There are a few duds among the glitter ones. (I have about 35-40 of these)
– Super Shock Shadows: like – these come in 5 different textures, I think (matte, satin, metallic, glitter and ultra glitter). I don’t have a texture I prefer, as the texture of the finishes varies. (I have about 35 of these)
– Jelly Much Shadows: like – I only have one of these, but if you want something VERY, VERY shimmery, this seems to be the shadows to go for
– Bronzers – I have only one, and I really like it
– Brushes – don’t like. I have only two, but the brushes seems to all be made of the same stuff, which feels kinda plastick-y and unpleasant to me, but I could be wrong
– Lip glosses – really like. I have around 10 different ones, and I like the caramel smell, the texture and the colors. They’re not super cheap though
– Matte Liquid Lipsticks: dislike – the are very pigmented and feel too thick for my liking. They have a thin texture upon application, but they dry to a very matte, dry, thick finish. Re-application deosn’t look good (I have 2)
– Satin Liquid Lipsticks – dislike. Too pigmented, don’t dry down (some people like this), oxidize to a darker color (I have 3-4)
– Blotted Lips: I like the lighter colors/they’re OK – it’s basically a very thin, matte liquid lipstick. They look nice on my lips but are a little drying and can apply a little patchy (I have 4-5, but not planning on buying more)
– Matte Lippie Stix: meh – good longevity on the two I have, but they are a little dry, which I don’t quite like
– Matte X Lippie Stix: love – they glide on very easily, like a silicone-heavy lipstick, but they don’t slide around on my lips and are fairly moisturizing (I have 3)
– Creme Lux Lipstick: I absolutely love the COLOR of the one I have (Foolish), but the texture is pretty dry – not creamy at all, so I probably won’t purchase any more of these
– Lip Liners: like – they’re pretty standard lip liners. I like that they glide on easily but are no too soft. Stylish packaging (I have 3)
– Powder Highlighter: meh – I only have one, and I don’t like it. It was supposed to have very fine shimmer, but it’s too chunky for me
– Super Shock Highlighters: like, but don’t wear much. They have the most incredible texture ever, can look very natural and can be applied over foundation without removing it (I have 3)

I turn to Colourpop for a lot of makeup, especially lipstick, but also for blush, eye shadow, and highlighter. None of their products have ever really disappointed me the way this stick foundation did. I bought this foundation for a few reasons; because I had never tried a stick foundation, Colourpops liquid foundation had rave reviews and it appeared so did this, and because it was $10. Suffice it to say, I was excited about trying this. Now, for actually wearing this stuff I was disappointed. By no means do I have dry skin–I lean normal/combination in the winter (right now) and I’m pretty oily in the summer. I did do a moisturizing primer on half of my face and a matte primer on the other half and neither side worked for me. This foundation found dry skin where I previously thought there was none. It clung to everything, every pore, every crease, every patch of mildly dry skin. On top of that, this foundation did not dry down and was not transfer proof even with setting spray. I looked ridiculous, never had a foundation clung to me like this before. Now, it could simply be that my skin is not suited for a stick foundation and has nothing to do with Colourpop. Either way, I would not be buying again nor recommending to anyone.

Meh. The color was off and I wasn’t able to return it. I bought this due to all the Instagram hype, so it’s completely my fault for being so stupid. I bought Light 40 N and after 2 hours it turned orange on me and wore off on my chin and forehead. I prefer the Revlon stick foundation. It lasts all day and has an SPF in it. It’s also not greasy like this Colourpop one. If you have dry skin, this will likely work for you. Note: I used the Paula’s Choice SPF 30 primer underneath and have used this primer with lots of foundations and foundation sticks with no issues.

Greasy and transfers everywhere. I don’t buy Colourpop anymore due to their terrible aka, non-existant return policy, however, I did get this for free since my friend has a huge Instagram account and they sent this to her in PR. If you have combo skin, this will not work for you. I have bad allergies and when I dab my nose with a tissue, the foundation just wipes right off. This is even when I set it with powders, etc. I prefer the Bobbi Brown stick. With my hourglass primer and Catrice waterproof setting powder, it stays put and keeps me matte.
