This isn’t moisturizing really…it clung to literally any dryness on the skin and it made my skin look dry even when I had oily skin. It also was kind of greasy and sat weird on top of my skin and looked super cakey. It was hard to blend and usually looked streaky on my forehead…it didn’t last more than a few hours before looking super weird and slipping around. I think I could maybe put up with that stuff If the coverage was really good, but it hardly covered anything. Probably the worst foundation I’ve ever used.

I really wanted to like this foundation. I wanted it to be the dirt cheap version of MUFE’s foundation stick, which is awesome but very expensive. But, alas, it is not. I bought this in the shade Nude, which was the best match for my NC15-20 skin, but is still a hair too peachy and dark for me. I have a light yellowish skin tone (with my neck lighter than my face), and this doesn’t quite do it. But I can get it to work with a little buffing into the skin. I love the convenience of the stick foundation — it’s compact, easy to swipe on and go, and is perfect for traveling as it doesn’t take up much space in a makeup bag. I usually swipe right on from the stick and smooth on with my fingers, but occasionally I’ll buff it in with a dense synthetic brush. The coverage is awesome, and I can tell the finish is flawless in places I don’t have any pores. Which is very few and far between. On my cheeks and forehead, this stuff literally makes me look like an orange peel with all of its pits and crevices. It ages me in such a bad way. To make matters worse, this stuff smears and transfers absolutely everywhere almost as soon as you apply it, and I don’t have extremely oily skin or anything. I’m so bummed because this is cheap and I really wanted it to replace my beloved MUFE stick, but until the formula improves I won’t be repurchasing.

I hate this ! Looks so yuck in the skin. I’m combination skin. This highlights dry patches , makes the skin look so much more aged than it is (I’m 26) but this foundation made my skin look older and just weird and I never have the issue I had with this foundation with other ones. even though it’s cheap, I still think you should save your money it isn’t worth it. Doesn’t last on the skin, looks dry, also looks greasy as the day goes on, unflattering for the skin, sinks in pores, breaks up, weird finish, nasty.

Like every other e.l.f. foundation I have own I bought it on sale, just in case the color wasn’t correct or I didn’t like it, I didn’t pay full price. But I actually ended liking it and it is part of my main foundation rotation. I have it in the color Nude, that is a light with neutral/yellowish undertone, and it matches me pretty well. It has a satin finish and medium coverage, it is a bit buildable without getting cakey, and my skin looks flawless. It doesn’t feel heavy but you do feel like you are wearing foundation.
I really don’t dislike this product I just don’t love it, but if I were to run out (it lasts & lasts) I might buy it again. I will say that I don’t think this product would be good for people with oily skin

I’ll never use this product any more, now it’s staying at the corner of my makeup closet. Bcuz it dont last in my skin over 6 hours, i feel like this foundation can move on my skin, it’s not be set. I dont like the texture, it is pretty starchy and, tone of this elf’s foundation relieving very fast.

I actually really enjoy this product. I like how it gives me a dewy/natural finish on my skin, I do not put much on, just one swipe on both cheek, one on my forehead, one on my chin, and one on my nose. My skin is very dry and this product does cling on to my dry patches but after a while it isn’t very noticeable, but in my opinion the dry patches aren’t too bad. The packaging is fine, the color natural matches me perfectly, and the price is awesome! This product can be put on to be light coverage if you put little on, but it DEFINITELY was made to be full coverage. I don’t think it looks cakey, i set mine with powder and i do use a primer. i would recommend!

Admittedly, I’ve fallen down the ELF rabbit hole recently. Continual, tempting shipping sales, every cosmetic offering under the sun, and some really inexpensive makeup gems and/or dupes of more high end cosmetics. If it turns out to be a dud, well, only a few bucks wasted. This foundation stick, I’m deliriously happy to say, was NOT a dud, and has quickly shot up to a place in my top-5 foundations of all time.
I’d been oggling the MUFE foundation stick trend, but its $40+ price tag made me nervous. After seeing some youtuber who compared the ELF and MUFE sticks and saw no real difference, I figured I’d give the ELF one a go when they next offered free shipping. I’m NC 20-25 (22.5?), Meow Frisky Chartreux, Too Faced Vanilla, IT CC light, and Nars Fiji was a fraction too dark and yellow. I got the ELF in the Natural shade. Put it on when it arrived, and I can’t frigging tell where my skin leaves off and the foundation starts. Bang up most perfect match I’ve ever had with the possible exception of IT Light. And it covers my redness and broken capillaries like a champ yet still looks like my skin but better. And, yeah, I’ve tried multiple layers too, and it still looks entirely natural.
My skin is dehydrated but not patchy dry, nor is it really oily, so that may be why this foundation is behaving really well, unlike some previous reviewers who spoke of it magnifying their dry spots, wrinkles, and/or pores. And it’s spring, not summer, so who knows what will happen when the temps become really hot and humid. But for now, all I have to do is swipe this on over moisturizer and sunscreen, blend it in (either fingers or RT EFB type brush) and I’m done for an entire day. No rubbing off, no disappearing, no streaking and globbing on my face (hello-Too Faced), nor any other misfortunes until I take it off at night. And it does quickly dry down to a vaguely powder like finish, without a real need for setting powder on top. Unlike, say, the previously mentioned IT CC which, while also lovely, does, for me at least, need a setting powder to tame its dewy glow.
My condolences to those for whom this did not work, but for myself, I’ve just been tickled each time I look in a mirror, silently (and sometimes not so silently!) exclaiming, ‘holy cow-I can’t believe I’ve actually got foundation on!’ Oh, yeah, and it’s $6.00. Yay ELF!

Just for reference, I wear MAC NC35, and Estee Lauder Double Wear 2w2 Rattan. I’m medium skin toned with yellow undertones, so I was nervous about which shade to buy. But I’m glad I took the chance on Nude, because it’s a truly perfect match.
This little tube of heaven is perfect for taking it on the go- I just shove it in my bag and I know I can touch it up if necessary, without having to lug around a full bottle of liquid foundation. Which, by the way, is almost impossible to get out of a makeup bag if it leaks. Yuck!
Because it’s moisturizing, it gives a natural finish without having to worry about looking oily or even worse, patchy (at least in my opinion). I’ve never tried it without primer, but it might be worth a shot because it’s not so thick that it will seep into your pores.
The only downside is that I dislike applying it directly on my face. However, I’ve solved that by wiping it off with a tissue after every application.
Last note, this can be applied with a paddle brush, but I find it much easier to use a damp beauty blender or my personal fave, the big purple sponge from the Crème Shop.

This stick foundation smells nice, and goes on smoothly…but it is horrible! It shows every flaw, almost HIGHLIGHTS every flaw. It aged my akin by about 10 years. I much prefer my staple Makeupforever Mat Velvet liquid foundation. I was lured in by the price..but since I am throwing both of the sticks I bought away almost full…it wasn’t worth it.

after while of using this product i stared seeing little bumps on my face and started breaking more often and it smells weird also after few hours it gets patchy and just uncomfortable
