This serum is one of my favorite skincare products. It has wonderful smell and nice texture, in a simple and beautiful package. I’ve been using it for a few months in the morning and night around my eye areas. It seems to smooth and plump my skin. I don’t expect miracle result from any eye cream and have tried many products, but I think I’ll stick with this one for a bit longer. I also like the concept behind their whole product line with just a few simple products and with retinol. I’ve started out with their eye serum, and just ordered their lip and facial serum.

I will just preface this by saying, yes I still have dark circles and under eye hollows. So no, this is not a miracle cream. However, this is probably the only eye cream/serum/treatment that I’ve ever used that actually does something instead of just hydrating the under eye area. I have hereditary dark circles due to my ethnicity and my under eye hollows are getting worse everyday. Due to my bad diet, sleep and lack of exercise, my dark circles got so bad recently that I looked like I hadn’t slept in weeks even after sleeping for 10 hours. I’ve tried many eye creams, the most expensive being the Drunk Elephant Shaba Complex Serum. It did nothing for me. However with this serum, I started to see my dark circles lighten up in about a week. It might be my imagination but my hollow under eyes LOOK a little better. So 4 months in, I still have dark circles but they look like dark circles a normal person would have which is a win for me. I also had issues with crepey under eyes before and this serum is smoothing it out nicely. My concealer goes on much better now. Yes, it does tingle slightly when you first apply it, maybe for 30 seconds or so. It’s nothing unbearable. Another plus point is that it doesn’t cause any flaking or irritation whatsoever that’s commonly associated with retinols and Rx Tretinoin creams.
The obvious con would be the price. But think about it, most eye serums come in a 15ml size. Verso gives you 30ml for $80. So in terms of regular eye serum size, you would be paying $40 for 15ml of product which is still expensive but not too crazy at all. Drunk Elephant gives you 15ml for $60 for comparison. So yes, I think this serum is absolutely worth the money.

I’ve been using this serum for a couple of weeks along with my Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme water cream. I was a bit dubious about trying this serum as I have quite sensitive skin particularly around the eye area and I’d heard that this does give a slight burning sensation at first but shouldn’t be anything painful so the first time I tried it I made sure I took my make up off carefully as not to irritate my eyes what so ever and yes I experienced a slight burning sensation underneath my eyes which lasted no more than approx 30secs but if you experience anything more than that it is probably advisable to wash off and discontinue use. Anyway, after two weeks I have noticed a slight improvement to both of those products combined, my pores are visibly reduced and the eye serum has certainly made my eyes feel and look more fresher and awake. I’ve noticed that I don’t need as much concealer to cover my undereye area since I’ve started using this. The only way I can tell it’s had a positive impact is because my make up goes on a lot more flawlessly now and it never did before. I’ve never bothered using skincare products until recently as I didn’t think any of them did what they said but this particular serum is a little more potent than regular skin creams etc. One pump dispenses a small amount enough for each eye which is good so your not getting any waste by pumping too much. A little really does go a long way with this. Although it’s expensive I’d rather buy this than some rubbish that doesn’t do anything for my skin so yes I’d recommend it but not ideal for sensitive skin.
