This sampler/travel pack retails at $40 so that is not cheap but I was intrigued and my skin was dying so I picked it up at Oasis Bakery, the organic grocery side.
I have to say this has absolutely exceeded expectations.
I have normal (drier in winter) finicky skin and generally use budget effective products. I am not your La Mer user, and so this gets a rating 4 for price. The full sized products are roughly $40-50 so that is like the absolute max I would ever pay, and only for something HG.
I am definitely picking up full-sized products once these are done! That says it all.
In the pack you get the full range of their beauty regime. It might seem like a lot but I’ve been doing a Korean beauty routine for the last few weeks and so it is not a lot for me. You get:
– makeup remover
– cleansing gel
– toner
– hydrating serum
– day cream
– night cream
The travel sizes are small – I’ve been using this since Saturday, so 4 times, and don’t think they’ll last more than a total of 6 times. Well the creams anyway, I’ve been slathering them on and they’ve worked wonders. My skin will complain from first application if it doesn’t like something and I’ve had no complaints.
The ingredients are very similar for all products so all products work well together. They are very natural and simple, my only query would be shelf-life due to the high content of coconut oil and aloe vera. But we’ll see how that goes later when I get full-sized. I am super impressed with the ingredients list – high amounts of water, glycerin, coconut oil, shea butter, aloe vera. All amazing things for the skin and my skin is loving it. I was getting strange awful dry patches on the sides of my mouth (stress or overuse of acids?) and this has cleared it right up. Skin is soft smooth hydrated and happy. Weirdly, I’ve been loving the toner. I don’t believe in toners AT ALL but the ingredients in this make me feel like it is worthwhile. And pores on nose look smaller!
The first time I used the whole regime, the next morning I had a strange peeling effect, kind of like the Cure natural aqua gel. I haven’t had it since, maybe because all my dead skin came off that first time. And I have no idea what caused it but I love it!
I had a concern about dimethicone in the serum and creams but my skin is totally fine. Usually I’ll break out from cones (worse in makeup products like primers or crème fdtn) but no problems here, maybe because there is a lower percentage.
All in all, I am totally stoked and writing this review because I couldn’t find many at all on the net. It seems like a small company (Aust owned?) and shopping organic is always good. Pricey but worth it. Due to what I already have in my regime, I will be buying the toner, serum and creams. Will add proper reviews for each product when I’ve used up the full-sized items.
p.s. rating 3 for packaging because the creams come in tubs which I hate. Their consistency would be fine in a tube. Cleansers come in a tube so please extend this to creams!
30/7/16 update: have only bought full sized toner and serum and so far very very happy still. Not gonna buy full sized anything else as have other products to use up, and not buying the creams until they come in a tube! The serum appears to have similar ingredients to the cult In Transit Camera Close-Up 3-in-1 mask primer moisturiser. This is similar to that in price but very diff in texture.
