I’m looking for a new cleanser to help with my oily skin and have tried both high end and drugstore cleansers that actually make the problem worse by drying my skin out too much. Not this one. This doesn’t dry my skin at all so that alone makes it worth the money. It does a great job of removing the rest of my makeup and making my skin feel very clean.
I went to walmart looking for the liquid version of this soap but they didn’t have it. I feel like the bar is actually a better value anyway, it’s under $4 while the liquid is nearly $10. It’s big and is going to last a long time. I do have one complaint about it and that is the very strong scent. I don’t mind fragrance in my cleanser as long as it’s subtle and fresh smelling. To me this smells kind of like air freshener, so I don’t enjoy that. Luckily it doesn’t irritate my skin or hang around for very long after washing.
Overall I do like it, but once it’s gone I’m probably going to look into another brand or maybe a home made version with less fragrance. If that doesn’t bother you though this a great cleanser!

Bought because wanted to try something new for my acne.
Very harsh soap. Face feels very tight and dry when initially used, however, then it got much more oily.
After a week of using twice a day the mistake I made using this soap became very clear…..!
Every morning I woke up with slightly worse skin, more bumps, a few whiteheads and a week later, my skin looks a whole lot worse than it did. Goodness knows how bad it will get if I was to keep using it! Don’t think I would try anything else from the ‘Yes to’ range as this soap has put me off.

I really wanted to like this product honestly. Read so many reviews on it and thought it was going to be the next big thing for me. Unfortunately, i dont know if this was the culprit, but my skin worsened over a course of few weeks using this. I got a huge cystic bump on my jawline. It really did nothing for me. Went back to My Cerave Foaming face wash for oily skin and benzoyl peroxide treatment and within days my skin cleared up again.

I’m on a thing where I’m trying to be more gentle to my skin. That being said, I only use this once or twice a week. It helps my skin a lot and does not dry out my face. It helps my acne, too.

For the longest time I had these annoying flesh colored bumps on my forehead that refused to go away. I was getting tired of it. I began to look for affordable facial cleansers that’d help with my complexion. I came across this bar soap. Thank god i did! It began to clear up my forehead whiteheads in, like…two uses! I’m serious! I’ve been using it for a good two weeks, and the forehead bumps are 90-95% gone! It definitely helped with my forehead bumps (whiteheads I think?) but it hasn’t done much for anything else. The blackheads are still there making with my chin whiteheads. But I’m happy with this because I wanted to get rid of those darn bumps first, and it did! I would definitely repurchase.

I recently discovered this miracle soap at Walmart and it was pretty cheap plus I already love charcoal face products but this soap… This stuff is literally amazing, I will never use any other facial wash ever again. The bar is huge and lasts months, I’ve been using this soap only for 7 months now and I’m only on my second one. I have not broken out since using this and it melts my makeup right off. My skin wasn’t too bad before this but I have cystic acne scars and occasional breakouts but my skin has cleared up so much I no longer need a full coverage foundation for once in my life.

I absolutely love this product. I have been using it only at night for about a week (I’ll probably use it morning and night but I don’t want my usual face wash to go to waste) the blemishes I did have are fading quicker. It clams my redness. My nose is almost clear after just a couple uses. The only con is it’s a little hard to wash all off. But in the shower it’s great.

I bought this hoping it would clear up some light recurring chest and back acne that I unfortunately have due to frequent workouts/sports bra rubbing. It did seem to alleviate, almost to the point of being gone completely, the more minor chest bumps after about two weeks of lathering up twice in the shower daily (once before conditioning my hair and once after rinsing it out. My hair is long and I figure my rich conditioner may be making things worse). However, it did absolutely nothing for the more problematic upper back bumps.
The soap is lightweight despite being large and lathers up nicely, with a gray tint to the bubbles. It doesn’t have much of a scent. It didn’t cause any irritation or dryness to my
dry/sensitive skin.
I have moved on to something else in the hopes of better addressing this skin issue, but this is still a good basic soap, especially if you’re only planning to use it because of mild acne.

Was trying to decide between this and Shea Moisture’s African Black Soap for my acne-prone face and body both of which were $5.57 for a giant bar. I decided to try this since I had previously used Biore’s Charcoal Bar meant just for the face on my face and body which was sold out at walmart. I used this only on my body at first and my skin looked clearer than when using the Biore bar. I then swiped my Earth Theraputics Charcoal Facial Sponge on the bar and used it to clean my face; my gosh did it ever foam up amazingly and left my face clean, not dried out or greasy. I will definitly be doing away with using my more expensive and very creamy Rodan + Fields Sulfure Acne Wash everyday and just use this inbetween uses. Might I note it’s not as moisturizing as Shea Moisture’s Black Soap and doesn’t leave a film on my tub like it either.

Do you remember the hysteria online about how coconut oil was supposed to be god’s gift to makeup removal? Well, I bought into the hype and had been paying for it with small, red, hard pimples all over my face. One week of using coconut oil left me with acne so stubborn I couldn’t get rid of them for months after. Searching online (clearly, I didn’t learn my lesson) for a remedy, I discovered charcoal infused soaps/masks and said to myself, “Hmm. This might be worth a shot.”

I figured that for the price and the amount I was getting, it was worth a shot. If it turned out to be drying on my face, I could always use it as a body soap.

I could see after a day of use, the redness and pimples were fading. Those angry, puss filled squatters that refused to leave my face were finally packing their bags! Any redness on my cheeks (from acne, not a beautiful flush) had disappeared! Did I mention this soap isn’t drying on my dry/sensitive skin?
