This SENSITIVE formula burned my teenage daughter’s skin!!! CHEMICAL BURN!!!

This product will BURN your face. If you have sensitive skin STAY AWAY from it. The cleanser will feel tingly, the toner will feel fine, but the spot treatment will be just painful. Im talking from experience. I did the three steps one night, I thought the spot treatment was supposed to feel that way. I repeated the treatment the next morning and it was so painful I stopped using it. A week has gone by and my face is still burnt, red, itchy and dry. Please do not buy this.

I absolutely love this product. I am 37 and have very acne prone skin. I really couldn’t figure out what causes the breakouts. I have tried proactive and other OTC products and nothing seemed to work. I purchased this product 5 days ago and have used it morning and night and can see a dramatic change already. I am so excited. I wear makeup every single day because of the insecurities of having bad skin. I am hoping to get to the point to where I can go without. Very satisfied customer!!!!

Let me start by saying I’d tried EVERYTHING. Proactiv, all naturally made products, oil cleansing, masks, dermatologists, birth control, and countless other brands and face brushes. This one is literally the only one that worked. My skin was BAD. Real, real bad. I didn’t even want to go out in public. It’s got a ways to go yet because of how bad it was, but man. This stuff has changed everything. I’m so thankful I found it and tried it. I started out with the severe line of this brand and it was working, but my skin was starting to hurt. I found the sensitive and it’s a lot better. It’s been a game changer for me. I’ve been using it for about 3 months now and only have one pimple on my face that’s well on its way to being gone. I can’t wait for 3 months from now to see what it looks like.

I’ve been using this stuff for 2 years now and I love it! I use it only once a day. I have combination skin and it’s so hard to find stuff that works AND won’t dry your skin. I have an issue with cystic acne and blackheads and while I still may get the occasional cystic pimple, the numbers are dramatically reduced with this stuff and my black heads are non-existent. I’ve even started using this stuff on my chest because I get a lot of small white heads there and they are now gone. The price is wonderfully cheap and a little goes a long way so it definitely fits my budget. The only issue I’ve had with this stuff is that the moisturizer can over dry certain areas of my face, like my eyelids and under my chin/neck. I don’t have an issue with acne there so I just don’t put moisturizer on those areas and it’s fine.

If I could post pictures of what this product did to my face most people would run as quickly as they could away from it. I have been a user of acnefree products for the past three years. Terminator 10 and the severe acne kit work wonders. I got this product because I no longer had the severe acne I did before so I thought hey why not get one that is gentler on the skin. Oh my goodness!! I wish I could rewind time.
After I applied it the second time and applied makeup over it I immediately felt an itching sensation on the bottom part of my chin where the few pimples I had were. I had to go to work so I left quickly by the end of the day my face was itching and on fire. I washed off all the makeup and solution and went to sleep.
I woke up the next day with 10x more pimples all around my chin area, the next few days got worse and worse. The third day my chin area had over a 100 pimples that were white and itchy.
I am now on the fourth day of this horrible mess, I cannot see a dermatologist for another two weeks. I have been applying a mint julep mask once a day and wiping it away with a very hot towel, then after drying applying terminator 10. It has taken away a few of them but my face feels like nothing I have ever felt before. Its so bumpy red and itchy.
Please stay far away from this system!!! I eat a healthy diet and take care of myself well, I didnt deserve this, I cannot even go outside people stare my face is covered in bumps now.
The uploaded picture is what this product did to my face two days after discontinuing use, it is very embarrissing but I am sharing my story

My skin was oily and I had started to get decent acne specifically on my chin, around my mouth, on my nose, and between my eyebrows, as well as on my cheeks. The acne wasn’t cystic, but still very obvious, and after trying Cetaphil, Clearasil, L’Oreal, and many other products, my face still looked the same, if not worse. Finally, I sat down with my doctor and brought up Proactiv, but she recommended AcneFree first. I bought this from Target, and although my skin wasn’t sensitive, I decided it would be better for sensitive in the long run. I noticed an immediate difference in my acne, and after using it for about 4 months, my acne is practically gone, except for the occasionally tiny zit here and there. I used cleanser, toner, and ‘treatment’ (or moisturizer) every morning and night, but I eventually dropped the toner, because it was doing nothing for me. The cleanser got rid of my overall acne, and the treatment got rid of my zits fast, and knocked out those fore-warning red bumps. Now, for morning, I use the cleanser, then moisturize with Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel Cream, and at night, I do the same two steps, but throw in the treatment and rub it into my worst places (chin, mouth, nose, forehead). It works amazingly, but I’d say the only issue is my redness did increase, as my skin became less oily, and more combination, and dry patches did appear on my skin. Peeling dry patches. Nasty. All I can say is exfoliate with a towel, and use a cream-like moisturizer directly on those patches. My foundation started highlighting my dry patches, and that made my skin look, well, no longer oily, but dry. So, overall, I’d say that this is definitely worth the $20, but just keep in mind that while it does clear acne, make sure to test the benzoyl peroxide treatment (moisturizer) on your skin 24 hours before, and remember, it’s likely your skin will be dry, so moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.

What drew me to this product: it appears to be tailored specifically to sensitive skin folks. My skin is fair/very light, sensitive, moreso dry than oily but I do have an oily-ish T-zone that holds most of my blackheads and red bumps.
The use:
Well, the product version I bought did not come with a free brush 🙁 However, it includes a gentle oatmeal/ginger foaming cleanser, a toner, and an acne-fighting lotion that also moisturizes. The first thing I noticed about the facewash was the smell; I liked that oatmeal-like smell! The cleanser is thick, and pearly white. It’s actually pretty just to look at. After using the wash, my face felt decent, but almost slightly dried out. I did not have any allergic reactions to it, which was good. Then I put on the toner; I have not used a lot of toners, so I was slightly hesitant. However, it gave me a cooling sensation–and still no reactions. Then I applied the hydrating repair lotion with continuous release micro-benzoyl peroxide [note: “Gentle formula” written on the tube]. I put a little on each problem area and then went about my day.
Then the problem arose. My face became itchy, red, and burned. I quickly washed my face with a facewash I normally use. I thought, maybe I put too much product on at one time? Over the course of a couple weeks, I could not find a possible solution to making the entire set work for me. The amount of benzoyl peroxide the lotion has (<5%) makes my face miserable. I even tried to wait it out for a week, using only a little of it, some days letting it rest on my face for just 15 minutes and then washing it off. Unfortunately, it just made me red, itchy, and scaly. Seriously, my moisturizers (heavy cream/redness relief/aloe vera gel) could not help this at all. My skin was so scaly after a week of using the lotion that I gave up trying on this product on my face. I tried using it on my back; it even made my back itchy and red continuously throughout the day. That "hydrating lotion" may be a "gentle formula" but it was a complete saboteur for my face. But what good does a regime do for you if the main acne-fighting treatment makes your face as red as a cherry?
The pros:
The facewash smells nice
The toner gives me a cool feeling and is refreshing.
The cons:
That diabolical repair lotion killed everything in my hopes; I would figure for a "sensitive skin" approach, a company would prefer sulfur or salcylic acid, not benzoyl peroxide.
My skin, without the main acne-fighting lotion piece of the regiment, did not improve as far as acne appearances go.
The facewash makes my face feel a little more dried out than I would prefer.
Overall: I would not buy this product again; I feel awful that I can't return it, because that repairing lotion makes my skin itch, red, and scaly no matter where it's applied. It's basically useless for me.

I bought this line for sensitive skin during a particularly bad skin time for me.
My skin was a mess: dehydrated, little sebum plugs popping out all over. Disaster.
I don’t feel that this line did much to help it and I ended up patiently going back to my Acne.org products.
The AcneFree Sensitive cleanser is fine. It doesn’t lather up much so there’s no irritation but I think that at 1.5%, there’s just not enough salicylic acid in the product to do much to help skin. The additional ingredients are botanicals which can really irritate acne prone skin.
The toner is uneventful. It felt about as effective as putting water on my skin. There are a few emollients in it but all in all, I just can’t see the benefit of the product.
The biggest problem for me is the 3% BP Treatment lotion. This stuff has the consistency of a light glue and the moment I put in on, I knew I was going to regret it. I gave it a full week but my skin suddenly developed pimples in places where I never get pimples. There are just too many fatty alcohols in this.
I’m using the cleanser in the shower now just to finish it up but I won’t buy this line again.
