Ive had a deep scar on my forehead for 7 years and has always knocked my confidence – BUT I’ve used the CItrus Clear Tangerine Tingle Scrub for about a week now and I have nothing but good things to say about it! I My deep dark scar is already noticeably different; a lot lighter. Highly recommended, and I just want to thank the company for giving me a massive confidence boost

First, I’m mixed, african american and caucasian so I have tan skin complexion with dry/normal skin. This review is in regard for those with the same skin type since its unknown to me if this product will work for oily, combination, or dry skin.
I bought the scar butter last year in january 2012 and so far I’m pleased with the results and still have 1/8 of it left. When I moved to El Paso, Tx last year, my face had broken out so bad, I had acne cysts. It was even worst when the sandstorms rolled in because its dry hot in el paso. During this time I had went through so many skincare products eminence, mary kay, bareminerals/bareescentuals, l’oreal, olay, burt’s bees. Once I was able to get my acne under control, I was left with black dark scars. Then, I had to search all over again for products to rid or fade the scars. I came across this product, and decided to give it a go….
The first month my acne was active and the product made it worse, not that it didn’t create more pimples, it just brought out the cystic pimples I had. Don’t know if thats a good thing, but i decided to discontinued it until the acne subsided and reuse the product again. That time, the scars had faded in about 2-3 weeks; I guess the product would dry out or exfoliate the scars because the scars would peel off as dead skin. Sound slightly disgusting, but its better than nothing really.
I also noticed something about the product and its reaction to warm/hot weather. When i applied the scar butter and then go out to run errands, the product’s reaction to the warm sunlight gave my skin this radiant glow, which I love since other products, mostly organic, had given my skin a dull look. However, in the fall/winter when the weather is cooler, it doesn’t give me that glow than in spring/summer warmer weather.
Pros
Fades scar
Gives radiant glow (only in warmer or hot weather)
Doesn’t create more pimples
Cons / improvements
Makes current acne worse if its severely active
weird smell of herbs? I can’t really make out , might be a problem to those with sensitive smell
for sanitation purpose, it would be nice for the product to be in a bottle with a dispenser.
Product might be a bit or too oily

This product really works!!! I had some breast work done and I used this on one breast and the scar treatment they gave me at the doctor’s office on the other breast and I the side that I used this scar butter on has no scar what so ever…the other side you can tell I had work done. I wish i would have used it on both sides now!!! I didn’t use it on both sides because I didn’t know what the reaction would be on an semi open wound ( stiches). I am using it now however and it is working…but its taking much longer to fade the scar.

Love this! I’ve been using this on a scar that resulted from a mole removal near my waist; the scar has faded significantly and the area is no longer as tender as it was. I personally like the herbal smell of the product as well. I just purchased the Sexy Belly product and will be using the products together, per the advice of the SA.

I can’t use this on my face because it breaks me out. I also hate the smell but I do use it on fresh scars and it fades the marks right away.

I really liked this product at first…but after using it on my face, hips and thighs everyday for about a month and a half, I think I’m having a negative reaction to it. About three weeks after using it, I started getting terrible headaches, a week and a half later, my nipple (I use it on my breasts too) started aching, and now, I’m spotting. This is very strange to me b/c I’m not on any birth control or having sex (so I can’t be pregnant). I’m going to discontinue use, and hopefully, these strange symptoms will go away. I will update.

i just want to say that you should be careful before using this stuff on your face. I have an old scar on my face which i tried it on and that specific area of my face broke out with like 2 weeks continuous pimples popping up, i related it directly to this product since it was only on that area. I dont get acne ordinarily and i dont have sensitive skin at all. i dont want to put this on my face anymore, but i do use this on my b/f’s rough scars and its very good at that. the smell is kinda vicks vapor-y strong, but the stuff leaves (healing) scars extremely soft and makes them look a lot better, not crusty, how scars can look, but moisterized, soft and way less noticable.
packaging says use within 6 months, but you only need a little bit at a time, so… probably will have to toss alot. only been using for maybe 3 weeks, but so far, nice results, better than cocoa butter, ill say, for new or healing scars. all of my scars are older so i havent noticed much difference at all. Also trying out on some stretch marks, but dont expect any results for at least a couple months. will update if miracles occur…

It smells straight up like lavender, which I don’t mind. Nice, lotiony type consistency which is nice and sinks in quite well. I do use this on my scar on my belly and it keeps it supple so far. Lavender has good antibaterial properties, so I should see a difference soon, but so far, nada. I’ve been thinking about trying it on my face, so will update.

After reading the previous (and only) review I figured I’d give this a try on my face. I wasn’t sure at first if I wanted to because it doesn’t really have a “lotion” feel to it and I really thought it smelled funky. But, this makes my face feel SOOOOO great! I thought it would be so greasy, but it soaks into my skin and just makes it smooth and silky. If you can look past the smell it’s really a wonderful product. I’m not sure how well it works on scars, but I know it’s my new HG face moisturizer. Would definately buy again! But, I wont need to for awhile since I only need a tiny bit of this for my whole face.

This product magically keeps me from breaking out, without this I would be lost! A little on the face is perfect for dry skin, but not too greasy. The scent takes a little getting used to, but IMO it’s so totally worth blemish-free skin!
