It absorbs into skin easily but it leaves a sting especially for areas with sores, I have eczema. I was really surprised that it states 99% aloe vera but it has other ingredients in the gel that do not sound natural like parabens. This won’t be the first product I reach for if I need moisturizing.

I am not quite sure, but I think this product help me to clear out my face from acne. It is a gel, so if you put too much, then it will peel off from your face. Here is my tip for using this product: after damping the cotton puff with toner, squeeze little amount on the puff. Fold it half to spread the gel across the puff evenly and apply onto your face. With my routine, you do not have to deal with stress of flakes.

I really love this product. ever since i started to use it, i stopped using my clinque moisturizer coz this gel doesnt make my skin oily. It’s not moisturizing enough in the winter, but it would work in other seasons. It just makes my skin feel smooth, moisturized and helps with my acne. It makes my acne scars fade away slowly. I never experienced any discomfort with this product. So with the very affordable price, I would buy this over and over again to replace my overly priced moisturizer.

i was so excited about this product because
1. it was on sale: 2 for $3 (originally $1.99 each)
2. it states on the bottle that this is 99% aloe vera
unfortunately, i was so blinded with excitement that i forgot to look at the other ingredients:
-triethanolamine (TEA)
-propylene glycol
-diazolidinyl urea
-methylparaben
-propylparaben
-fragrance
to name a few. all these are toxic skin irritants. i know this only constitutes 1% of the product, but their presence has its effect – this stung! it wasnt unbearable but it was uncomfortable. it didnt do much soothing like aloe vera is supposed to.
the product itself feels like hair gel. it turned very watery as i massaged it in – very spreadable but took forever to dry. also, the fragrance was really strong. i got used to it after a while but its pretty nauseating.
regardless, i continued to use the product hoping it would work. but it didnt help fade my acne scars, and didnt leave my skin “soft, fresh and young looking” like it claims.
in fact, it was the exact opposite: this moisturizer wasnt moisturizing at all. my skin looked irritated and felt tight.
i also couldnt help but notice new bumps and white heads appearing since i started using this. nothing terrible but still noteworthy (probably a reaction with all those chemicals).
since it didnt work on my face, i tried it on my body. although it did give my skin a nice hydrated look, i got these weird itchy, dry patches (that are very rare for me)!!! i was horrified.
so i’ll try to use this as a foot/hand creme or something (it was effective there). other than that – very disappointed, will not repurchase.
EDIT 07/30/2011: Ive switched my 2 lippies to ONE! this stuff is terrible! aloe vera is supposed to soothe chapped, sunburnt skin. the only places on my body that didnt react to this stuff were my feet, hands, and (it seemed) my legs. i was hoping this product would help keep my hands smooth and help the chapped skin on my feet. didnt work. made my hands dry, and my chapped skin is as chapped as ever. BUT what made this a one lippie is it ruined my skin! those rashes i mentioned earlier have persisted, and have turned to bumpy soars. after using this on my legs, my skin there has dry cracks and have formed NEW RASHES! i know im not allergic to aloe, because ive used aloe products before and have never a reaction. this is just a BAADD product.
