I’ve tried many peeling exfoliators and this one just isn’t that great. It’s a little too gentle in a way that lifts some skin but doesn’t take it all off so it just makes me look like i have even more flaky skin afterwards. REALLY heavily scented.
Tony Moly use to have an aqua line that had a peeling exfoliator that was much better.

I did not find this to be an effective exfoliator, its too weak and whilst you do get little gritty bits, its not actually the skin, its just the product itself rolling from the friction. Its cheap though but I wish I bought the samples off eBay first. This type of granual free exfoliator does have a place though, if you are super sensitive, this could be a great option for you. My skin care goals is to use highly effective products that are concentrated so I don’t have to use them too often since I prefer to low step routine (as opposed the 11 step Korean style regimen) so I aggravate my skin less. I’m using the Dr G Peeling Gel as well, its slightly thicker in texture and I feel its does something a bit more than this, although still no where as good as my Elemis Skin Buff or Clinique Exfoliating Scrub, which I always come back to. This has a nice pleasant scent but its so mild it does nothing for me hence I see no reason to use it. I would not recommend you buy the full size but I do recommend you buy samples to try if you are curious.

I don’t know how or why this works, and am pretty sure those rolls of stuff aren’t just skin — but I don’t care at all. The only thing I care about is how incredibly smooth my skin feels after using this product. It’s like my whole face was resurfaced – this stuff is amazing.

I got a one-use sample of this with some other Korean product I bought. They are very nice about giving samples, I’ve got to say!
The sample was literally one use although I have a pretty small face. I was excited about the rolls of dead skin that was going to come off. I applied it to my dried cleansed face in the night and very quickly, I started seeing the “skin” come off – not as much as the previous reviewer’s but some. I’ve read some blog reviews about this product which have satisfied that it’s not just the product pilling but in my case it started happening so quickly that I find it hard to imagine that it was all dead skin. My face felt a bit rubbery afterwards (how apt since the “dead skin” looks like eraser by-product) and I applied a rich moisturiser and went to sleep. Did not notice any brightening effect though.

I can’t believe there aren’t any reviews about this here yet! I stumbled upon this product in a sample I got from buying etude house drawing eyebrow pencils, and after using it once, I immediately went online to hunt it down on ebay and bought it.
*price: i could find it for $14-$15 CAD with free shipping on ebay, which is frankly insulting to the product because i would easily pay $50 or more for this.
*packaging: a plain squeeze-y tube. nothing fancy. the bulk of the instructions are in korean and there is a little english blurb about directions. you get 150mL in the tube. insane considering the price!
*product: it’s a clear and silky gel, with a fresh and floral scent.
*positives: everything. it does everything a peel should do.
*negatives: the only thing i can think of is that it shouldn’t be marketed as a brightening peel because i don’t notice any brightening effects.
*application: with a washed, dry face, you squirt a little into your fingers and apply to the areas you want to peel (for me, my nose, around my nose, and the tops of my cheeks where i have the most uneven texture). after rubbing at those areas, the product will begin to ball up with your dead skin (it looks and feels like the flakes you get when you use an eraser on paper). once you’ve finished rubbing it all in, you rinse your face with water, then apply your next skincare steps (toner, moisturizer, etc).
i won’t lie to you, at first i thought the “balled up dead skin” was just the product and not my skin until i tried the gel on things like a piece of plastic, a book cover, even a leather shoe (lmao) and i can assure you, it is definitely skin. it’ll give the peeled areas a strange texture when you rinse it off, almost rubbery? but i assume that it’s just because you’ve taken off the top layer of skin. after the rest of your skincare, your face will feel normal again. i use this 1-2 times a week and it’s completely cured my nose of it’s weird tendency to make foundation crack and separate on it. i highly highly recommend this to anyone looking to add another step to their skincare to improve their skin texture.
