Not for one moment do I believe all the nonsense that REN claims about the “anti-pollution” abilities of this spray. Although I really like some of their products, REN actually makes me angry with product names like this one or “Global Protection Cream” – honestly, are these things REALLY going to protect me against things like earthquakes, radioactive fallout, acid rain? Global Protection Cream doesn’t even contain a SUNSCREEN – sun damage being the most common “global threat” to our skin and the easiest to protect against and the same is true of this spray even though REN’s blather would lead you to believe that this protects against “UV light that puts skin in a state of stress”. Apparently, this also combats “urban grey” – is that even a thing? a skin condition? Right – I’ve got that off my chest and now I can say that I LOVE this facial mist. I love the soothing herbal smell, and the sprayer delivers a wonderfully fine mist. I have used this over moisturizer and also over a mineral powder foundation and it leaves my skin feeling and looking so nice – very smooth and even. It is a really soothing product to use. I was lucky to score this on sale half price because, like the Wake Wonderful product, it’s being phased out, I think. I plan to pick up another bottle of this – the bottle is fairly small and I like it so much that I can see this becoming something I’ll use every day.
UPDATE: I did, in fact, go back and purchase another bottle of this as a backup. I was sorely tempted to buy the last 2 remaining bottles of this but figured that 3 backups was kind of ridiculous since it’s only a matter of time til I’m distracted by some newer product. But already, this product isn’t even shown on Sephora’s website (though they have re-listed the “Wake Wonderful” night time “mask” but at the full price again!) so I’m glad I have enough to see me though for a while.

I received a nice sample of this from Sephora and didn’t really like the fragrance when I first tested it out. It’s not awful, it’s just different from my usual routine of misting my face with rose water and took some getting used to. I do like the product though. It mists evenly and dries down to set my makeup for the whole day, seriously no touch ups required and absolutely nothing transfers, which is a total bonus. I love that it doesn’t alter the appearance of makeup at all, nor does it feel tacky once dry. It comes in a 2 oz/ 60 ml spray bottle for $48CAD which it on the pricey side but is supposed to protect your skin from all pollutants in the environment. If you can get your hands on a sample of this it is about the size of a ballpoint pen which makes it very convenient to carry with you. Also perfect for refilling. I’m undecided if I will purchase a full size of this just yet but I would recommend giving it a try.
