I am no stranger to hair removal and have spent years trying to find a way to remove my mustache fuzz. The eyebrows I leave to the experts though…I have used the plastic backed Sally Hanson strips off and on, depending on wether or not I wanted to fork out some cash for a threading along with my brows, but I have found using strips at home to be more economical. Nads comes with 24 strips, more than Sally Hanson. In addition to the amount per box being more, as another reviewer mentioned, the Nads strips pull apart smoothly, and therefore can be applied without missing hairs due to the inconsistent wax. I pull apart, lay one down and rub on gently, in the direction of the hairs, hold on tight… hold your breath, say a prayer to whatever deity you chose and yank off against the grain. Use expletives. It’s incredibly satisfying to look down and see the hairs which once cast a masculine shadow imbedded in the wax.

This product did nothing for me except cause pain and yank off a bit of flesh. I painstakingly followed the directions. Very disappointing.

I picked this up hoping that it would be more precise and less messy than using hot wax. I understand that there is going to be a little pain involved with any sort of waxing and there is inevitably some wax residue. First off, I gotta say this stuff grips…everything. I didn’t really warm it up much, I kinda rubbed it betweens my hands for a few seconds, nothing major. I tested a second above my eyebrow, OK, nothing amazing. Then I used the same strip that I had just used on my eyebrow on my upper lip. I had just waxed with actual wax about a week prior, so I wasn’t expecting it to pick up much. I was impressed, the strip did pick up some short, fine hairs. I was horrified to find that it had also picked up a 1/2 INCH PIECE OF SKIN. Like I said, this stuff picks up everything, beware! I also think that it leaves more of that sticky, waxy film behind that traditional wax does. I will continue to experiement with this, just very cautiously.

I use this to wax my upper lip every 3-4 weeks. I like how the strips are made of cloth instead of plastic- it makes it a lot quicker and easier to pull apart after rubbing between my palms. I follow the instructions on the box. I have very fine asian hairs on my lip and this strip grabs 95% of them tiny little things with one go. I have made the mistake of waxing over the same area twice resulting in a small graze (which goes away in 3 days) until I learnt to pluck the remaining couple of hairs. The whole waxing/plucking process takes me about 3 minutes. I took one lippy off because I don’t care for the post calming wipes, you only get 2 in a packet which isn’t resealable so they dry out very quickly if you don’t fold the packet properly after use. (If you run out of these you can use baby oil) I prefer the post care to be a solution in a bottle like Sally Hansen facial strips. Other than this I will continue to buy these because of the cloth wax strip.

I have been waxing my upper lip using various brands and methods for around 16 years now and have NEVER had a problem. These unfortunately tore the skin off my upper lip in one use – it’s bright pink exactly where the strips were, perfect edges and all. I look disgusting and am very embarassed to be at work like this. I have coated it in antibiotic ointment, hopefully it won’t scar.

Ugh, they used to be fantastic! Now the formula is “new and improved” and it is terrible. The wax is too thick and hard. All it does now is coat hair with wax and doesn’t rip anything out!
If you can find the very thin, medium green wax strips, buy them. They’re great. If the strips are a pale green and thick, return!!

WOW do I love these strips. I use them on my upper lip. I’ve tried the Sally Hansen Wax Strips, and also the NADS wand… SH didn’t do a thing for me, and the NADS wand was decent but didn’t get everything out.
I rub these very quickly between my palms for about 15-20 seconds, then spend another 15-20 seconds smoothing each strip down. Maybe, just as a word of advice, the people who find this does not remove any of their hairs are not warming it up/smoothing it down long enough?
Anyway, man are these things painful. I’m no stranger to waxing, but these hurt pretty bad. It’s worth it though. I love looking down at the strip afterwards, because they remove even the most microscopic hairs.

I used to rely on these wax strips to wax above my eyebrows. They gave a lovely straight result and picked up all the hair. True, I did have to blast them with a hair dryer for five seconds for them to become soft, but this didn’t bother me. What bothers me is that NADS has changed the formula of these. No longer are they perfect rectangular strips of wax, they are now darker green and have no shape. They’re just blobs spread into rectangular-sort of shapes. They are useless to use on the brows now as they give a mottled, uneven line.
However, I’ve given them a 2, because they still pick up underarm hair, however, they don’t manage to get all the hair at once and I have to repeat the process. Will be finding new strips for my brows and changing to warm wax for my underarms.

Horrible Product….. After removing the strip found that the wax was still on my skin, this meant I had to go over areas numerous times to remove hair and the wax which resulted in damage to my skin. I now have a burnt appearance above my lip!
There are far more effective wax strips available- will not be buying this product again!

I have been using Nads for years and all of a sudden in the past 6 months the last 3 boxes have been bad to the point were I can’t wax at all. Like the viewer stated below the waxing strips don’t get soft and you can even pull them apart so I end up throwing them away.
Over the years I have been using the facial strips and the large one which I cut into smaller pieces which is more economical than the smaller facial strips. Also I have seen the hair that I was with the Nads strips lesson and thin out so it does work for me when I can use them. I plan to call the company and see what’s going on but for now I will go to the salon and get waxed because I can’t afford to mess my skin up.
UPDATE:
I got another box and they work fine. It looks like they had a bad batch so I am back to using Nads and have changed my rating to an overall 4.
