I am a sucker for trying cheap new makeup, especially face mists. I believe this is a gimmick.
Price – good. $8.00 USD for 3.8 oz of spray – it’s a decent sized bottle.
Scent – kinda off. I think it’s the tea tree oil (so sensitive folks, watch out.)
Application – wonky. Lots of ELF reviews state being sprayed with white all over their face. I never had that happen. I shook my bottle like crazy after I bought it – including tapping the bottom on the table to knock the clay from the bottom (you can see white solids at the bottom). Once you shake it like crazy – my sprayer almost didn’t work. At least, I thought it was broke – but took about 5 minutes of pumping to get it to work. I finally took the nozzle off and on – then it worked. Spray is nice – full – not splotchy. Can be very wet. Never had any white specks at all, so just be sure to shake it really well.
Does it work? No. I mean – maybe a little, once it dries – but if you spray this over an already shiny face – the wetness from the spray is going to make your face even more shiny. It just will, unless the spray you are using is FULL of dent. alcohol. This has no alcohol – which I LOVE. However, just spraying it on and then going about your business? Doesn’t work. It’s not a “touchless” blotting mist.
However, If you blot FIRST with a sheet or tissue and then spray with it – let it dry and then blot again to remove any wetness but leave the clay and good stuff – it seems to make me last a bit longer without shine, which is how I plan to use it and why I gave it 3 lippies. If it worked like they said it should, it could be more. But not on my skin.
I also want to try it as a primer – and see how it does. But for the instructions claiming you can just spray this on and watch the oil disappear, I don’t think so. At least, not for me. But it’s a fun thing to try out.
