This has become my go to weekly mask during pregnancy. (I can’t use my HG GLAMGLOW while preggers). I have a very oily t-zone, normal cheeks and acne prone. This was recommended via the MB website for my concerns. I am pleased how well it has been controlling my skin over the last 3 months. Very pleasant cucumber scent. The mask itself is very liquidy, but applies easily. The jar format is ok (My GLAMGLOW is a jar product) I feel if it was in a squeeze bottle with a nozzle I’d like it better. Dries in about 10 minutes, but directions state to leave on for 20. Due to clay base, dries nicely but doesn’t leave my skin overly tight. I use this once a week.

This mask gave me a burn! I have combination, not-particularly-sensitive skin and when I removed it after using it in the early evening I had a red burn all over my face that remained until the next morning. I’m glad this was a sample. I love some of the other masks this company makes, especially the rose hip mask, but this did not agree with me.

It seems MB never fails to disappoint me unfortunately. This is just another dud in the long line of products i’ve tried from them that have either not done anything, or caused a rash that still hasn’t fully cleared up 7 months later.
The cucumber tonic mask is supposed to sooth, cool, and absorb oil. I will agree that it absorbs oil, but that’s about it. My skin feels dry and flaky afterwards and when you do that trick where you poke at your cheek it doesn’t stick at all to indicate that there is any moisture in there.
So yeah, this and most of MBs products are overpriced junk. If you want to try one of their products go for the Enzyme Cleansing Gel!

Sorry all, but I was fairly disapointed with this. I have a slightly oily t-zone, and normal/dry temples and cheeks. (combo skin) i dont have ‘acne’ i would put more as clogged pores, and blemishes. I thought this would be perfect for me, given the circumstances. I was worried this would be too drying, but it wasn’t. The pros:
-pleasent smell (though some may not like it)
-running but applies well and does not fall of your face!
-helps a tad with blackheads (but not deep set ones)
-lasts a while (more than 3 months)
Cons:
-doesn’t seem to do much for whiteheads, or small blemishes for me
-leaves skin feeling dry
-the packaging is very unhygienic
-will definitely dry out if you don’t use it in a matter of 5 months
-leaves my skin looking dull
It’s not bad, but for me, i’d rather save those 18 bucks for something that will do a better job. My expectations were too high for this product.

I will add to the wonderful comments on this mask – I use it to perfect my face basically. If I have any dryness I just wash my face with my Purpose wash and leave this mask on for a few minutes. It makes my face smooth and exfoliates without stripping the skin. Doesn’t make me breakout either! I have only used the trial samples, and I have to say the packaging could be better because the mask dries up in the containers too quickly. Usually I just add a dab of water to the container with the drying mask and that allows me to get some of it soft again to use. Wish it wasn’t $18 minus shipping or I would just on getting the full size!

This was ok-I didnt think it was bad or amazing-It does what a mask does help exfoliate, soften skin etc. It did not feel any different than the Healing & Soothing mask.. I like MB products this is good but since I dont think it is much different than some of the other masks

Sorry to break the 5 lippie streak here, but I have to say this mask dried out my combo skin. After I got out of the shower I had dryness around the mouth and nose area that was very visible. However, I love what this mask did to the T-zone area of my face where I get pimples and blackheads. Will probably use this mask again but apply less around the mouth area where I am prone to dryness.

I got this as a sample as well, and after I saw the difference it made on my skin after only the first usage, I decided to come on MU to read other peoples’ experience with this product. And it’s not shocking – it seems that the results are pretty consistent since so many have already been raving about this product! I am sad that I threw away the sample jar after my first use today… gotta go on mario badescu’s site right now to check out the price for the real thing and get my order placed!!! hooray for mario badescu!!

I absolutely love this mask. I love all of Mario Badescu’s line, but since I have combination skin, this is perfect. It leaves my skin clean, but not “tight” feeling. Love the smell, and the consistency. Would recommend to anyone. Also, have used as a spot treatment in a pinch.

Great Mask! I really like many of the Mario Badescu products – especially their toners and creams. The Healing Cream and Calming Cream work *wonders* to combat the dryness/peeling/flakyness that occurs when using heavy duty acne products (Benzoyl, Retinoids, Salicylic, etc). I have very oily and very acne prone skin and this was sent to me as a sample. When I washed it off my skin looked calmer, pores tighter, and it felt very soft and moisturized without leaving a weird film on my face. This mask is one of my faves. I’m always been a fan of the superthick masks with clay and/or seaweed to absorb oil but sometimes they overdry – this mask doesnt.
