Do you want one product in the shower to use head-to-toe? Get this. You can use it to gently cleanse EVERYWHERE, including hair and scalp. It produces a very gentle lather and rinses away without leaving a squeaky, stripped feeling. It is superior to the Dove bar, it’s convenient for travel, and it will reduce your plastic usage. I have combo/dry, rosacea, very acne-prone, very sensitive skin, and it works wonderfully for me. One star deducted for the plastic sleeve inside of the box (yeah I know it’s for sanitary purposes, but it’s still excess plastic).

Edit***
Tried this. I’m on my 3rd & love it. My skin is amazing. Tried to use a liquid cleanser again & broke out horribly. My skin just hates glycerin. My skin was a little dry using cetaphil & now it’s just “normal”. I use cerave lotion on damp skin, after the ordinary hyaluronic acid serum.. and persa-gel on chin. Clear, glowing skin!
So I use cetaphil gentle cleansing bar. I’ve been trying to find a replacement bc they add masking fragrance to it & I don’t like using fragrance or alcohol on my skin. Cetaphil is very misleading & also adds it to their moisturizers, only calling it a dif name. (Check beautypedia.com)
The ingredients in this are similar to the cetaphil. I’ve only used once this morning, but came here to see if anyone has tried both??? I’m afraid to keep using it bc I don’t want to break out. I used the vanicream liquid a few weeks ago & thought it was doing a great job. Then I noticed when I washed my face, I had bumps or clogged pores on my cheeks, that weren’t there until I washed my face. I can use water only in the morning & not get bumps. There’s just something in liquid cleansers that clogs my pores. Yet cetaphil keeps my skin sooo clear & doesn’t over dry my skin! Why do I keep trying to mess w perfection if I already have my HG? Guess I just want even BETTER!
So. Guess I will attempt this “soap” a few more times & see.
Also, dove sensitive (the only fragrance free bar by dove) leaves a weird feeling on my face. Guess it’s the moisturizers in there. But it doesn’t clean my face very well either.

I love this cleanser I never thought that I would be replacing my la Prairie foam cleanser but I am so happy I located this bar it is very moisturizing I thought Dove soap would be the most moisturizing but this one beats that
I actually prefer a bar to a liquid soap because I use it not only on my face but on my body as well it’s just very convenient It packs well in a soapdish but the most important thing is it doesn’t dry out my skin it leaves it feeling soft and plump I highly recommend this soap it isn’t the easiest product to find but I have no problem locating at it at Walgreens

One of if not the last remaining drugstore cleansers that is neither expensive or liquid.
I will admit it, when it comes to cleansing my face I’m old school soap and water and low maintenance. I also despise liquid facial/body cleansers.
Vanicream is nearly scent free, not harsh and cleanses without leaving a peculiar film or scent.
I use this on my face and neck after removing eye/lip m/u with micellar water.
In winter my skin leans dry, this product does not aggravate that.
In the summer this is equally competent.
I do not have any skin ailments but I did recommend this to my friends mom who has very dry skin from medication she must take, is diabetic and has psoriatic arthritis. She adores this soap and is grateful for the recommendation.
There are some ingredients which very sensitive skinned people may find irritating but for the average mindful sensitive skinned person this is a wonderful very basic cleansing soap without the hassle of being high priced or cosmetically adorned.
Cleanses well and rinses easily. My only gripe is I can only locate this at CVS and even then there is only one bar on the shelf. Beyond lack of retailers I highly recommend.

This is the best for the body. If you have psoriasis, eczema, any form of dermatitis, body acne, redness, hives this is your go-to. Once you get your prescription from the dermatologist for psoriasis and eczema (the steroid cream) use this. You will never get a flareup again. I am clear now. This will keep the results from the prescription. If you have acne, this will clear it right up. Dermatitis? GONE. Dandruff? GONE. I tried it on my face and was a little drying, though. I advise you use it on the body for any skin issue. It’s pretty much a hidden gem in Walgreens and CVS. If you have a baby, this is great too. If you’re itchy, this will fix that. You can follow up with the Vanicream Skin Cream or Aveeno Moisturizing Lotion. This bar is so effective that sometimes I forget to moisturize and it takes care of everything. Haven’t had psoriasis in forever bc of this! It’s 4-7 dollars. It lasts a long time. It’s ph-balanced. It’s fragrance-free. I believe soap-free. It’s better than DOVE. I have no complaints.

Bar cleansers are my favorite, so I was really excited to find that this product works for me. I feel like I can never get properly clean with liquid cleansers by themselves, and makeup wipes aren’t a good option for me since I’m sensitive to friction. Prior to switching to this, I’d been removing my makeup by double cleansing with the Dove sensitive skin beauty bar and then following that up with a liquid cleanser du jour. This bar is basically identical to the Dove bar but with a properly acidic pH, so I can use it for both makeup removal and cleansing without having to worry about following it up with other products. Anything that simplifies my skincare routine is a win in my book, plus it’s so gentle, non-stripping, and easy to use. I plan to not only repurchase this, but repurchase it in bulk!

i have the one with zinc 2% its helped my fungl acne a lot. i had tiny colorless bumps in clusters on my cheeks and forehead and chin. it looks like they are slowly dissapearing or becoming large pimples. i am stilll tesing this out to see if it works.. doe not dry out my combo acne prone skin. feels clean without the stripped bar soap feeling.
– this didnt do much but i think it was irritating my skin plus curology. I went to using cerave gentle foaming wash instead.

The soap is a lowkey disaster. I’ve been using this soap for about 2 weeks and I can’t believe what happened to my skin. I’m sad it didn’t work out for me. The product leaves my skin feeling very dry and I’m experiencing nonstop pain around nose area. My pimples got lot worse, I’ve got some even on places I’ve never had pimples before.
The one and only thing which is great abt this cleanser is it makes your existent pimples around eyebrow area less visible ! Eventhough they’re still there, they look clear and not inflamed.

This product does clean up my skin real good but at the same time it dried out my skin 🙁 i really wanted it to work but my skin did not agree with it.I’m left with dry patches on my face.
Pros:
Cleans away 90% of my makeup
Cons:
Dried out my skin

i try this because in my country i can not get the liquid cleanser , there are only bar and scrub . I have finished the scrub cleanser and it work ok on my skin but I prefer no scrub for my daily cleanser so i try this one. and I’m VERY HAPPY I did. usually bar texture will dry my skin like crazy. but sebamed just know how to NOT strip all our skin but still make it clean and not oily. the scrub smell like medicine but I will buy it again bec it’s very good . this bar smell amazing , not fragrance smell , just nice smell (for someone with HIGH sensitivity towards smell , this is probably not for you). from Sebamed , I had tried their eye cream and sunscreen too. all okay. the sunscreen will leave a MASSIVE WHITE CAST (although they said it won’t). but it a decent sun protection since i don’t get sunburn when i use that.
Cleansing Bar : smell great , not soapy , don’t have a lot of foam since it’s soap free BUT it clean EXTREMELY WELL. All my oil and sebum just gone after washing but my skin doesn’t feel tight and pull. and CHEAP.
but i won’t really recommend this for dry skin bec although it’s not drying , IT IS ALSO NOT MOISTURIZING AT ALL.

-smells great
-doesn’t contain soap which dries out skin & can be used on face in shower
– doesn’t affect natural pH of skin so less chance of flare ups when switching to it from other cleansers
– high quality brand
– looks cute
– good for bacne
-cheap

UPDATE:
Unfortunately this dried out my skin pretty much. I really loved it at first and I saw immediate results concerning blemishes and clogged pores. But after using this for a week it dried out my skin and made it red and irritated. Such a shame, since I really liked it!
I have sensitive, combination skin (used to have a lot of clogged pores,non-inflamed acne).
By now I feel I was simply experimenting too much, trying out too many products with even more ingredients on my skin.
I use this only once a day, I wet a cotton pad and run it over the bar and then I massage my face with it and wash it all off.
+ skin-clearing properties
+ no allergic reactions (big pro for me!)
+ leaves skin really really clean
+ you get a LOT of product for a little price
– some people complain about the smell (I really don’t mind it)
– very very drying in the long run

Have just brought this facial cleansing bar to try. will review more after using long enough. so far, not too bad. for those mentioning doesnt lather well, use a lathering foam net. it will help you lather as much foam as you want. you can get it from daiso or online. hope that helps! what it attracts me are the vitamins and moisturizing ingredients. Also i store in a soap box which has hole beneath. so it will dry properly and doesnt breed bacteria.
maybe i would buy again but will be looking for better alternative.

I tried this bar soap as a shower ???? soap & I quite liked it ! I had a small sample size bar of it & it cleaned very well & didn’t dry out my skin this winter ❄️ season! It’s really like a completely fragrance free version of the dove soap! I usually use dial soap in the summer but this is much gentler for the winter! I would definitely consider buying the regular size for the shower ????! ????Well I’m upset Bc I did buy a regular size bar of this soap since I had liked the sample! But when I opened up this soap I did discern a ever slight scent of perfume on the bar but luckily after showering it didn’t linger around! I have no idea why there’s a fragrance to this?!

I have to say I really love this soap. I’ve used facial bar soaps from Aveeno and Clinique, and this Vanicream one is my favorite. Ehh it’s a pretty close tie to the Aveeno. Both take off makeup well, and don’t leave my skin feeling dry & tight.
The Clinique is the most expensive, leaves my skin feeling tight, and does not take off makeup well.

I’ve been using this for years as both a body and face cleanser. I like that it has a low pH (5.5) because that is an appropriate pH for the skin. Most bar soaps out there (like Dove) have a pH that is way too high and not good for the skin. I don’t find Vanicream to be drying at all and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight. It has also caused me zero breakouts. I think it is also a good price at around $8 for 3 bars, especially compared to the price of other facial cleansers. The scent is mild enough that I don’t worry about it on my face. Highly recommend!

My skin is very very sensitive. My face gets really red and sometimes small pimples pop out if I use a product that im allergic to.
I recently moved to a country where my usual facial cleanser is not available. After trying out several cleansers…I found this and am very much contented.
I like this product since it doesnt irritate my face nor causes break outs. Also, cause one bar lasts a really looong time. Mine lasts for 5 months!
Downside is that it tends to dry out your skin if used more than 2x a day (it is a bar soap after all).
pridefulRice9
Hmmm, this Is a good facial wash I think,
It doesn’t irritated my skin anyway, but it doesn’t made any changed on my sensitive-acne prone skin too,
And after using it,still feel a residues left on my skin,
Only keep it as an alternative when my skin was in trouble-irritated.

I love this product! I used to be the type of girl who could not stick with one beauty product for a long period of time… that said..I’ve been using this soap for almost a year and I’m actually scared to change it….
The reson it does not “lather” is because it does not contain silicones 🙂
Silicones like mineral oil coat the skin and make it feel soft but dry it out in the long run…
I personally love the scent and always get compliments on how “clean” I smell
This product healed my bacne ( if i use anything else.. even once…I’ll break out)
I NEVER get zits on my chest
It’s a god send seriously…if you have problem skin try this product!!!!!!!!!!!
I reccomend using this soap with an exfoliating towel….afterwards spritz your skin with rose water and moisturize with the sebamed dry skin lotion (it contains shea and vitamin e )
