All of the Mad Hippie products have a pleasant, fresh scent, and this one is no different. Some of the highlighted ingredients are: argan oil; hemp seed extract; sea buckthorn berry, blueberry extract, pomegranate oil, camu camu berry; broccoli extract; raspberry seed extract; strawberry extract; goji berry; grape seed extract; and sunflower seed oil. I use this in the morning mixed with the vitamin C serum, before sunscreen; sometimes in the evening on the nights I’m not using an active like the exfoliating serum or the vitamin A serum. The oil absorbs into my skin quickly and doesn’t leave me looking like an oil slick. My skin loves this stuff (it pretty much loves all MH products) and I’m all for adding antioxidants where I can.

Started using this product a few days ago. I generally use Acure Seriously Glowing Serum. However, as I am using MH Vitamin Serum, MH Exfoliating Serum and MH Hydrating Nutrient Face Mist; this Mad Hippie Antioxidant Serum seem like a great addition.
MH Antioxidant Facial oil is NOT heavy or oily in spite of being heavily oil based (argan oil, pomegranate oil and safflower oil). Those oils have a reputation for being helpful to oily/acne prone skin by providing balance to sebum production. I wasn’t worried about them making me break out. However, I was a little skeptical about the fruit extracts. Wasn’t sure how my skin would react to them.
One thing I can say is that this facial oil is very quick to absorb. Just a couple drops for my face and it makes my skin baby soft and glowy, without any residue left behind. I put it on last night, before my Roc Deep Wrinkle night cream… was very pleased that my acne had reduced along with redness. It also helped fill in where my acne had healed, then dried to the point of flaking. All of the fruit extracts in this facial oil REALLY help with that. This product leaves my skin glowier than the Vitamin C Serum even. I tried combining the two today with some Organic Aloe Vera. My face feels supernaturally soft.
Will definitely buy again!! Seems like this bottle will last a really long time, though. I feel like Mad Hippie could easily sell this Facial Oil for far more. It delivers more like a product that would cost $100. Very impressive,

After using this product for about 6 months now, I can honestly say, this is definitely my favorite Mad Hippie product. Honestly, this product could easily be WAY more expensive, with how amazing it is. I have stocked up so that I never run out. I use this twice a day. Once, in the am, paired up with MH Vitamin C Serum & MH Hydrating Nutrient Mist. Later, in the pm, after either Roc Deep Wrinkle Night Cream or following MH Exfoliating Serum. Sometimes I’ll use The Ordinary “Alpha Lipoic Acid 5%”, then smear this on before bed.
I now think of MH Antioxidant oil as a renaissance, cure-all bottle of skin perfection. If my skin is dry, this helps without being too oily. When my skin gets irritated because I overuse AHAs, this soothes my skin tremendously. If I break out, this oil helps the healing process. However, I find that I rarely break out anymore.
Before bed, I put it on after my night serum. It gets rid of any irritation caused by my regular use of retinol and acids. I like to put this on over eye cream because it locks everything in. It makes my eyelashes super soft and helps keep them healthy, as I am kind of a mascara wh*re XD. I also put a few drops on my hands, chest and arms, both morning and night. It makes my skin amazingly soft and I feel like MH Antioxidant oil protects it. Often, I will put a couple drops on my lips, before I leave for the day. It absorbs quickly and has a plumping effect.
My skin just drinks this stuff up and now has this glow that I’ve never been able to achieve prior to using this product. Somehow, MH makes this happen without making my skin oily. I didn’t think that was possible, honestly. I’m not getting paid to write this. I honestly think this stuff is stuff is awesome and I never want to run out of it.
Definitely try it 😀 You will not be disappointed.

So this lovely oil has replaced my Argan oil. I love the fact that it contains Argan oil along with Gogi berry for additional vitamin B and Camu Camu for vitamin C. Non-greasy. Absorbs quickly. Keeps my skin well moisturized. Doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. Doesn’t cause breakouts. This is applied as my last step at night, and use my Clarisonic smart profile massage head vs Nurse Jamie facial roller to perform a nice quick facial massage. Price point about the same that I was paying for organic argan oil at the local health food store.

This is an amazing oil and I’m so glad I have it. I’ve wanted to try Mad Hippie’s products for quite a while. I’m 39 now and I’ve practiced good skincare but I wanted to step it up a notch. I thought this antioxidant oil was the way to go. I like facial oils as my combination skin is going from oily to dry. So I wanted something to balance my skin.
Lately I’ve just been using Mad Hippie Vitamin c oil twice a day with their moisturizer and this on top. It leaves my skin so soft and clear! I noticed my smile lines were plumper and less visible. My blotchness is gone and my skin looks so radient.
I only put a few drops in my lotion and I pat it in. Even though it’s a small bottle it great because you do not need much. Just a few drops. Plus for such good ingredients this is a steal! I will repurchase this because it balances my combo skin. It gives me great hydration with the colder months ahead, and leaves my skin so soft and clear. Recommended.

This smells like a chocolate orange to me. Oh my god. It’s heavenly. If nothing else, buy it just to sniff it.
Just kidding.
This is a very good product. I use it in very small amounts because I did find that if I used it every day all over my face, I’d start to break out, which is why I removed one lippie. Just a personal reaction. Now, every other day or so, I take one drop and massage it between my fingers. Then I press it into my forehead, nose, and cheeks. Basically, anywhere I feel might need a bit of extra moisture if it’s giving me a problem. It makes my skin soft and silky.
This is such a nicely-textured oil. It leaves you glowy but not shiny from being too heavy. I really feel that one drop is enough for the entire face if you rub it between your palms and press, but of course everyone is different. I’m not even sure why I included that, or why I’m not just deleting it instead of overexplaining. Lol 🙂 And the SMELL. It’s a delicious scent. I love it.
OH, this is important! One thing to keep in mind is that the oil has a thin consistency, and the dropper will be full when you take it out of the bottle. When you go to get a drop or two, it will start to drip out quickly and you can end up with more than you wanted, and maybe a small mess. What I do is just pull the dropper up so it’s not in the oil (no blowing bubbles in it!) and squeeze until it’s almost empty, then get a drop or two from what’s left. Problem solved. 🙂
Given that such a tiny amount goes a long way, at a price of $24.99 USD, this is absolutely worth it.

I have been using this oil for a little while now and it is working. So far it has began to make my skin more even in tone and texture. I am prone to getting broken capillaries on my face when a product causes inflammation in my skin and so far this product even though it contains plant oils has not caused any irritation I can tell. I am noticing my forehead dehydration lines have been smoothing out too I hope this product will contribute to the extra dehydration it needs. I use it after the vitamin c serum from the same line. So far it has been working to contribute to extra added hydration I need. I have used the josie maran argan oil in the past and loved it so hopefully with the added ingredients in this product in addition to the organ oil it contains my skin will benefit more from it. Here’s to hoping.
Update: My skin didn’t like the product. I ended up flushing badly after using this product. I even began to notice old scars reappearing from years ago. Small ones but it wasn’t pleasant to look at. I also noticed black heads were appearing all over my face. Gave up and sent it back. Not impressed.

This facial oil is one of the best on the market. I never cease to be impressed by the results. Mad Hippie’s basic premise is that they offer products with a large quantity of active ingredients and thus provide better results. I can say that I definitely appreciate the quality of the products which are natural/organic and contain well-recognized active ingredients that are clearly labeled with no extra junk or fillers. This oil moisturizes without leaving my face feeling greasy or sticky. I would say that the texture of this oil is medium, not too light and not too viscous (some oils are quite viscous and thick on the face). I like the silkiness of my skin after I use this oil overnight. At the modest price of $25 per ounce full retail price, this product fares way better than higher end brands found at sephora. Additionally, I can always find this product discounted at least twenty percent on websites like luckyvitamin.com. I do believe this has a slight plumping effect as well. I will definitely keep this in stock in my arsenal.
