When I first used this product, this gel heated up on my skin. My face felt heated but not irritated. I had read few reviews on Reddit about this product heating up on skin. I was on tretinoin so, my skin barrier was comprised. Some botanical ingredient caused the heating effect on my skin.
Now that my skin barrier is restored, the heating sensation has gone. It feels cooling.
This product is one of the few hydrating gels that hasn’t clogged my pores. It’s hydrating. And it would work great under a facial oil. It’s more thick than regular aloe gels. But sometimes, it does come out watery from the tube if it’s a hot day. Doesn’t have parabens and preservatives which I appreciate. But that also means you have to finish the product soon. Also it makes my skin kinda glow. Good hydration for oily acne prone skin.

thumbs up, one of the most underrated moisturizer ever. i have combination to oily + acne prone skin which is really sensitive. this one saves me everytime breakout happened. i just put some thick amount on my angry skin and the bumps/redness gotta disappear in one or two days. probably because it has propolis in it, which is really good for healing. for dry skin, however, i suggest you to layer it with another moisturizer after. for oily skin, it’s enough to use alone. cica balm/another repair products honestly don’t really work for my skin, that’s why I’m glad i have this one. and the price is so cheap that i won’t get tired of repurchasing this godsend.

Background: NC15-20(ish), combination-oily skin that’s becoming more sensitive & acne-prone as I age.
I’m currently using this as my day moisturizer, and my skin is loving it. It sinks in quickly, gives a cooling and soothing sensation, and kind of helps with sebum regulation. Lately, I’ve been experiencing dryness and itching on my upper arms and lower legs, and I’ve been using it as a moisturizer/lotion post-shower and pre-bed and it’s been helping a lot. It’s inexpensive but works beautifully. HG Status achieved!

I have dehydrated skin. I really didn’t feel like this did anything. I mean maybe it was drying out my skin more. I won’t ever know. As I didn’t see a difference with it and have discontinued use.
It would probably benefit combo or oily skin better than dehydrated or dry.

This is a life saver for whenever I have cystic acne, menstrual acne, or irritated skin. It would soothe the acne/irritated area from red hot to ‘normal’. I pretty much use this as an acne treatment: blob of this gel on to any blemishes and the acne will flatten out or be gone by the next day.
Would repurchase if the price doesn’t change too much. It has increased in price several times since I first started buying this brand in 2013.

Wonderful tube of magical goodness. Light yet deeply hydrating without making me greasy (my skin drinks this up in such a way that makes me feel bad, like I was starving/neglecting a sick puppy), and definitely works on overall clarity and brightness. My face, neck, and chest absolutely love this stuff and I have had zero negative reactions (almost unheard of). It is also a pleasure to use; it feels so soothing, cooling; simply lovely. I have oily skin and I don’t think I will need to switch to a heavier moisturizer in the winter – my steady boo rosehip oil should nicely supplement and seal in the moisture. It’s affordable and you get a sizeable amount. I’ll definitely repurchase this one. Totally love it.

I ordered some samples of this, mostly on a whim. I didn’t expect to have a use for it, let alone like it. But one thing led to another and, well, here we are. 5 lippies. Let me break it down. I’ve been bouncing around trying different propolis products, looking for some mythical glow they’re supposed to impart. This has a relatively small amount of propolis in it (10%), but unlike products with a much higher concentration it makes my skin glow. GLOW. I don’t even know how to describe it other than that. And the aloe? Well, this promises to fade acne scars, soothe skin, and add hydration. I don’t know about acne scars, but it works like gang busters to soothe irritated skin and though it doesn’t add a lot of hydration it does add some. So yeah, I think I’m in love. Sweeet loooove.
