I had not used dusting powder for decades, other than the Clean Body Veil powder, but the heat and humidity in my area of the country is so severe that I decided to order a few powders to try to stay a bit cooler and drier. One of the first I purchased is this Original Fresh with Chamomile.
This powder has a very light floral fragrance. I do not perceive any sandalwood. I detect a bit of rose more than anything else. It glides on smoothly and feels nice on the skin as it dries up moisture and oil. The scent is light enough that I do not think it would conflict with one’s fragrance, but I would wait to apply a fragrance until after the powder has been on for an hour or so. A floral fragrance such as Jean Patou Joy or Guerlain Bagatelle, and similar ones, for example, pair nicely with this powder
This powder does help one to feel drier indoors. I do not think it would help at all if one was out of doors in the severe heat and humidity. I plan to use this powder both during the day and at night. I think it will feel very nice at night after a bath to apply this powder and slip beneath cool, clean sheets.
Overall for the price point, this is a good product. If you normally like to wear fragrance, I do not think this powder is a good substitute for a fragrance, but it does have enough scent that someone standing close to you would be able to detect it. It is a fairly feminine, fresh floral fragrance, but I think a man could wear this, too. I would purchase it again once I ran out of it.
The one thing I dislike about it is application. It is messy, and it is impossible to get it onto the middle of one’s back unless someone helps to put it on one. I stand in the bathtub to apply this powder so that it does not get all over the floor. I wish they made a matching long handled powder puff for applying this, though. I have an antique powder jar and am thinking about trying to transfer the powder to the jar so I can use a powder puff with it. I am unsure whether or not transferring it to a jar will help application all that much.
This a small, affordable luxury…a little bit of glamour and pampering. Recommended. Treat yourself! : )

I am on a new medication that makes me sweat, with the smallest amount of activity. I pondered what to do before another long, hot desert summer. Shower to Shower is exactly like I remembered it. It has a soft smell, nothing that would interfere with your perfume, and it’s quite inexpensive for only five bucks.

I have been using this for years ( the pink bottle). It keeps me feeling shower fresh (just like the name says, shower to shower) and dry, especially during the warm, humid months. I know body powder has cannotations of smelling like a baby, being overly flowery, or having a grandmotherish scent, but this smells soft, pleasant, clean and feminine. I’ve gotten several compliments from people saying things like I smell so clean and fresh which puzzled me at first, because I don’t usually wear perfume until I realized it was this. So that’s a great thing about using this.

I rarely use a body powder since I hate having white stuff all over my clothes. I also don’t ever want to be one of those women who apply it too high up on the neck so everyone can see it. Ewww!! Anyway, the smell is nice and fresh, and it makes the body feel silky. Sometimes I use this at night just for the nice clean scent. If I ever need to buy another powder, I would repurchase this.

The bottle is a bit annoying to use, but this keeps me feeling fresh and dry all day, especially now that its getting hot. I dust my legs and upper body and I don’t have to worry about sweat bothering me. It smells very good and is light.

I adore this powder. I have used it every day for years! It keeps me dry and smelling fresh all day. The scent is great. You don’t smell like a flower or a baby, you just smell clean.

I live in the desert and this is a must for me. My clothes slide on and I feel fresher all day. Have been using it for years. The more perfumed powders give me a bad rash. J&J baby powder works almost as good.

I don’t know about time-released, but the smell is feminine and flattering, smells more like a very light, soft perfume rather than a powder (in a very good way!!) The fragrance actually reminds me of the light pink color of the container. I normally don’t like body powders, but I love this one! Keeps me dry enough- nothing ever completely absorbs the sweat from a Georgia summer though. But this is still wonderful! Contains talc.
