I initially bought this for my partner as he has really sensitive acne prone oily yet dehydrated skin. It’s gentle yet cleanses effectively. Doesn’t foam up at all. It doesn’t smell of anything much to me, I can’t understand why some reviews say it smells like vanilla. I wish it did though hahaha
I’ve used this for abt 7 months now (3 people) and it’s lasted this long. About to open another bottle. We mainly use this as a facial cleanser and it removes my light makeup effectively.
I haven’t found it to be excessively drying and I have dry skin. If I’m lazy, I just wash with this and apply udder cream right after. If I’m not feeling too lazy, I’ll add a serum, facial mist then moisturiser. I’ve used this in hot Aussie summers, cooler autumns and now winter, and I’ve found that it works throughout all these seasons. I’ll continue to reputchase. Hasn’t broken us out. For A$17.50, I think it’s a great deal.
Addit: now that I’m pregnant, my tummy itches like crazy. I shower with the milk wash now and follow with the udder cream. No stretch marks!! It hardly itches now only when I use any other shower foams.

Gentle on the skin, hasn’t aggravated any of my allergies, and can also be used as a facial cleanser if I run out.
It doesn’t strip moisture from the skin – I still feel like my skin is moisturised. I just wish I could buy it in bulk to save money.

This cleanser is amazing! I have acne-prone, oily skin that is not particularly sensitive apart from the fact that a lot of products seem to cause, or at least not improve my acne. I bought this because I liked the idea of simplifying the amount of chemicals and stuff I was using on my face, it seemed like I just kept adding and adding but my skin would just break out. I saw this on the moogoo site and picked it up at a pharmacy.
Effect on skin – I noticed a fairly gradual change in terms of improvements to my skin, it wasn’t like overnight all my pimples had healed or anything but over a month or so of using this twice a day my skin was definitely clearer! I love that it doesn’t feel drying, nor does it feel too heavy. You would still definitely need a moisturiser after it, but I believe you need that after any cleanser ever.
Smell – It has a bit of a smell but I am not bothered by it, and you definitely get used to it. I don’t notice the smell at all now I have been using it for a few months.
Value – A little goes a long way with this product. Originally I put 4 stars for price because it is on the slightly higher end of your normal pharmacy cleansers, but I changed it to a 5 out of 5 because you get sooo much use out of it. I have been using it for probably more than 6 months and I’m not sure if I’m even half way through. I only use a tiny squirt but it covers my whole face easily. I sometimes use it on my body as well. So no complaints about value.
Overall I would highly recommend for any skin type!!!

This is lovely. I bought it sort of by accident, having randomly stumbled across reviews for the Full Cream moisturiser and finding that it made more sense to order a set with Milk Wash in it. The texture is very smooth and it feels like it’s really cleaning your skin, but it’s very gentle – it doesn’t make your skin squeak. I use it as a second cleanser following an oil, but it doesn’t do a bad job at getting makeup off. I occasionally clean children with it and it doesn’t aggravate their eczema (or mine for that matter). I like the smell, delicate but clean. The big pump dispenser isn’t the prettiest but it’s sturdy and practical. Much, much nicer than other liquid washes, beats Cetaphil into a cocked hat for me.

This is a great gentle soap, especially for sensitive skin. You can use it on your face, although I have acne prone skin and tend to be a bit more particular about what I use. Smells great, lathers well.

I began using this about a year ago and stopped because I found it too gentle.
About 2 months ago I began using it again, and I believe this will be one of those products I have to have at all times in my bathroom. It is one of the gentlest, mildest and effective cleansers made from natural ingredients you can buy here in Australia at a good price range too.
I use this in the morning and the evening, and it does not dry my skin out at all, it leave sit feeling comfortably clean. Note that this does not take make-up off well. In the evening I always pre-cleanse with coconut oil or hemp oil, then use this, and so far so good!
I interchange this with my other staple Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser (albeit made from synethic ingredients, I have never had anything but good, clean skin from using Cetaphil) depending on how I feel that evening.
Moogoo’s Milk Wash requires water; Cetaphil can be used on dry skin. Both do what cleansers are meant to do – clean your face. And they are both gentle, at similar price ranges 🙂

I just came to final pumps of a bottle of 500ml in two months. I used it mainly for facial cleansing day and night. My dark spots (from acne scars) have significantly lightened and new acne no longer appears, except for some occasional one or two bumps during “that” time of the month.
I don’t think it completely removes make up. It absolutely does not remove mascara but I often see the foam turns brownish from my foundation. I am usually on light make up (foundation, mascara, light blush and lip color). I don’t use make up remover for my face. I usually wash my face twice if I see brownish foam during the first wash. The foam normally turns white during the second wash.
It is not drying for my face but it is not also that moisturizing. My face does not feel tight after washing.
I tried using it as body wash a few times but I did not find it moisturizing enough for my body and it is not foamy enough to my liking causing me to pump more of it which is I think quite costly and the fragrant did not last on my skin. (I love the milky fragrant, BTW).
Overall, this product works for me and I would definitely continue using it.

I am a big fan of all of the MooGoo range. Left to its own devices my skin is dry and I have dealt with rosacea so I am careful to avoid the triggers that appear to antagonise these skin issues.
I found MooGoo some years ago. Then it was aimed at people with psoriasis, eczema and other skin conditions (read their history These days the range has expanded and includes baby care products as well as a full and extensive range of hair and skincare for all sorts of skin types and concerns – they also have a makeup range called Dusty Girls!
This review is for their Milk Wash. It really is a wonderful, affordable body AND face wash. Deep down I guess I am still a ‘lather up with a good bar of soap’ girl – I like some bubbles when I wash my face and other bits. MooGoo Milk Wash satisfies this tactile need but without drying my skin or irritating it.
In the product description it explains that they use a number of cleansing agents in small quantities rather than lots of any single chemical product in order to avoid irritation (read their ingredient list here
All of the MooGoo range has a ‘nice smell’ I wont go as far as saying ‘fragrance’ because you wouldn’t be dabbing it behind your ears or on your wrists, but it is pleasant and I now associate it with ‘feeling clean’.
One of my favourite things about the Moo Goo Milk Wash is that it really is an all over cleanser. It’s good at removing make-up, even eyes, as well as washing the day away from your pits-n-bits. Because its a liquid cleanser it also reduces the amount of scum build up in the shower that the fat in bar soap leaves behind.
My face always feels really clean and I love it as either a stand alone face wash or as the start point for a full on exfoliating-deep-cleanse-wrinkle-attack-skin-regime.
Great price for a 500ml bottle and despite having purchased it again and again and again none of the pumps have ever let me down (I actually decant other products into the MooGoo bottles because the pumps are so reliable – makes my shelves look a little compulsive but you can’t beat a good pump!)
As I have said in other reviews I am an unfaithful product user and I do stray from time to time but for years now I have kept coming back to this range and the Milk Wash is a standard in both my bathroom and my travel pack.
If you like ‘natural’ products, have skin issues or just like a good product at a reasonable price do your self a favour and try MooGoo out!

I bought this to use as a face cleanser. I have rosacea and my skin is also dry and sensitive. I applied it to wet skin and rinsed it off. It left my skin feeling dry and the dryness got worse each time I used it; by day 3 my face felt tight and dry and and was starting to itch/sting, and I definitely won’t be using it again on my face or as a body wash. I also didn’t like the overly sweet smell.

After using for a couple of weeks, I find that it really needs to work on it smell. The smell is too sweet and strong.
Lather easy, cleans good and cause no breakout or redness. Price a bit high but still affordable, All natural ingredient is a plus.

Currently using this. Flip top bottle version tho. It was just an impulsive buy initially as I was glad enough with my Antipodes cleansing balm (my dry skin flakes near the nose but other parts were glowing) happy enough it doesn’t breakout. First time I use moogoo milk wash, it’s very foamy for me and I felt it was tiny bit drying. I convince myself that it was just psychological effect of balm and liquid cleanser. Today is 10th day of use and my skin looks better, more resilient and glowing. This takes off mascaras in less than a minute!
