This was THE BEST! I love lavender scented things and this was probably my favorite beauty product. Fantastic ingredients, smelled like heaven, left my body so soft and supple. My skin is ultra sensitive and reactive but this made it so much better. Why did they discontinue it, oh whyyyyyyyyy!!!! I’ve tried other, much much more expensive, lavender body oils and they do not compare. I’ve just written to the company to ask them to being it back, anyone else that misses it or wants to try it should do it too!

I absolutely loved this product and am VERY DISAPPOINTED that Trader Joe’s has decided to no longer carry it. Someone else needs to. My daughters absolutely loved it. It was a very special treat for our moments of talking over problems and trying to relax.

The price is what attracted me to this in the store. At $3.49 I figured I would give it a try. I smelled it in the bottle before purchasing and was pleasantly surprised. I normally do not like lavender scented products, because they usually are the strong cheap lavender smell. This is very subtle, clean and fresh. I also like the idea of an oil spray but have never found any I really liked. This one sprays on well without having a large overspray that could be hazardous in a bathroom. It sinks in well on slightly damp skin and has a soft feel after drying. There is no glistening, glowing sheen to it which was also important to me, I wanted moisture- not shine. The only reason I gave a 4 for packaging quality is because when you press down to spray- especially at an angle for your legs, the pump is a bit stiff and you really need push down to get a full spray.

Do you want to smell amazing? If so buy this stuff. A tip though I use it right when I get out of the shower/bath and I let it seep into my skin before putting clothes on I wait for like 10 minutes and than my skin doesn’t get greasy or oily like others said they had that problem. This stuff is a m a z i n g. I love it. It makes my skin beautiful and I smell sooo good all day.

I love lavender and I bought this spray about one year ago but I didn’t like the fact that it’s not really pure and there is alcohol in it. On my skin it felt greasy and it didn’t absorb well and I ended throwing it away because I didn’t like the way it felt on my skin (though I liked the lavender scent). I wouldn’t use this product in a therapeutic way (put on cuts, acne or burns) because it isn’t pure.
For scent I prefer to use pure lavender oil in purified water and put it in a spritz bottle. It would be simpler buying a carrier oil and add few lavender drops to it.

I love this body oil! I first discovered this over the summer when I was nannying in beautiful Malibu, Ca. Even up there the summer was hot and dry at times! I need moisture for my dry skin and applied this daily at night and awoke to baby soft skin and am still using it in the winter. I apply it at night (it can make it slippery to walk on) and the smell is amazing!

Not a fan. I was expecting this to basically be the same oil they put in the TJs lavender salt scrub that I love, but it definitely isn’t. In addition to PEG-8, it also has alcohol–and I think that detracts from its moisturizing abilities. The alcohol also makes it smell unpleasant–more like chemicals than like the scrub. So despite my really wanting to like it, this product was pretty much a let down.

I can’t say I really care for this due to the addition of PEG-8 to the product. On the Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Data Base they say the following about PEG-8: “Violation of industry recommendations – Restricted in cosmetics; use, concentration, or manufacturing restrictions – Not safe for use on injured or damaged skin.” As regards cancer concerns they say “One or more animal studies show tumor formation at moderate doses,” and on effects on the endocrine system they say “One or more animal studies show endocrine system disruption at high doses” To me this is all a big UGH.
I really prefer the Lavender Massage Oil from Wellspring Trading which has only pure avocado oil and lavender essential oil in it.

Okay ladies, my husband works at TJs, and I will go on a mission and see if I can get them to bring it back.
Sometimes there are bottles floating around warehouses/backrooms, and I might be able to get some. PM me and ask if you want me to get you some for swap.
I used this when I was pregnant, and it really is a lovely oil 🙂
EDIT:
Sorry ladies, but its gone forever! I’ll let you know if I find a dupe

I loved the Lavender Body Oil from Trader Joe’s and I was extremely disappointed that it has been discontinued. Prior, I used Neutrogena’s Body Oil until I learned that oils apply to the skin is directly absorbed into the blood stream. So I searched for something natural and reasonably priced and found it at Trader Joe’s. As the prior reviewer suggested, I have just written an email to Trader Joe’s, I doubt it will help. I have also try to find the name of the manufacturer at a local Trader Joe’s but apparently the manufacturers of all Trader Joe labels are locked and sealed in the corporate vault. I have done a lot of research on the computer as well but to no avail. Does anyone know where I can find this Lavender Body Oil or who the manufacturer was? Thanks. BTW – Trader Joe’s still carry the Lavender Salt Scrub which is another excellent product. I just tried it for the first time today. It left my skin super soft!

Trader Joes is carrying this product again. I looked at the ingredients and yes it does contain PEG-8. I looked up PEG-8 and MLMT was right – I don’t want to use it on my body. Thanks MLMT.
