   This was my daily oil for years, no matter the season I would be wearing this and I LOVED the complex but warm scent. The issue is that sometime down the line the company changed around its formula and to me there’s something noticeably off about the smell to the point where it’s off-putting and completely ruined the product for me. I loved the amount of shimmer and golden hue it left on my skin, but I can’t support the new scent.

   Just an underwhelming body oil overall, the gold shimmers hardly show. The oil itself is somehow drying instead of moisturizing, so I have to put a different oil underneath it first. Would not repurchase.

   I’ve had the original Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse (and hated the packaging) for years. Last week, I decided to treat myself to a bottle of Or (gold) version. On the plus side, they seem to have improved the actual spray mechanism but I still loathe the awkward, chunky, hard-to-grip GLASS bottle but at least it does spray evenly and nicely (a pump and/or a more grippy bottle would be really welcome, though). While this does leave a bit of shimmer on the skin (not a lot that I can see but some), it doesn’t really “golden up” my skin and, worst of all, this is a really disappointing body oil and it does little at all to moisturize my skin or make it feel silky, which I generally expect from a body oil. I was shocked, after my pre-bed time shower, to wake up and find that my knees were peeling and flaking! Plain old Johnson’s Baby Oil does a better job than this stuff. This oil isn’t cheap and I wouldn’t waste more money on another bottle. Avene’s dry oil is much, much nicer and comes in a better bottle.

   On my second bottle of this, as I gave the 1ste one away (I get a lot of pharmacy products for free as I work as beauty consultant in a parapharmacie in Europe).

   I recommend it to anyone who has non-sensitive skin (contains a lot of perfume), or who looks for a very natural dry oil (98 percent of ingredients are of natural origine, even the shimmer particles are of a natural mica). I wouldn’t use it on oily skin, it would be too heavy.
   The oil gives an amazing subtle finish on the skin, golden and glowy, without staying greasy. I love to use it on my face (i mix 1 drop with my daycream or my foundation), or use as a highlighter on the cheeckbones and colarbone. It looks great on bare legs/arms/shoulders. I don’t use it on my hair as it is too heavy for my fine hair. It works great on dry/coarse hair.
   I adore this oil and own all 3 version of it: the regular one, shimmer one and the rich version.

   Great in summer when you show a little more skin, it gives a nice jlo golden glow. It has a monoi scent which you have to love but I like it in summer it smells tropical beachy. I only use this for a night out because it’s a little sticky/tacky. Would repurchase untill I find something better that gives me a summer glow without the stickyness.

   This is the one and ONLY product I swear by and I’m on my 6th bottle.
   I didn’t want to rate the packaging because, to me, packaging is unimportant. But I had to so gave it a 5 just because. It’s whats inside that matters and this stuff is incredible!!
   The light mist/spray oil is the first thing I put on my face and body after having a shower, when my skin is still damp. I spray it in my hands, rub them together, and onto my skin. It smells AWESOME!!
   My face and entire body get the perfect nourishing balance of this light, easily and quickly absorbed oil that is never sticky or heavy feeling.
   It’s a perfect moisturizer for dry skin too!! Anytime is Nuxe time.
   I also use it in my hair, which tends to be dry and brittle from straightening. It adds an amazing shine and gloss to my hair and keeps it healthy and happy.
   I love this stuff and can’t imagine my world without it!!

   I bought this after my vacation in the Caribbean over the winter- thought this would be great to enhance my tanned skin. Firstly I don’t mind the scent, but I’m not scent-sitive to begin with, therefore if you are, then yea it’s a strong powdery musky smell. I bought the small splash (dispenses like aftershave) bottle. On application ( after a good shake as there is a separation of the oil and golden shimmer) I find it goes on dry like the regular dry oil but as mentioned below by another reviewer, I too noticed a bit of a ‘dry’ tack feeling on my skin, although for me the product did sink in. The regular Nuxe dry oil does not give the same outcome. Not sure if it’s the gold shimmer that creates this tacky feel. Nevertheless, the shimmer being the reason I bought this product, really doesn’t show up, a very subtle hint outdoors is noted. Nothing that someone would even comment on. So for me this is great for work… the scent eventually fades by the time I clock in. Would I buy it again probably not. Although I do prefer the Nuxe regular dry oil because of its moisturizing abilities.

   Bought this product because of all the raves on a French reviewers website (Beauté-test).
   I really, really do not understand the hype on this product. (Or even the brand, I tried several products). I love using body oil after showering, because I hate using bodylotion, this gives me a sticky and uncomfortable feeling on my skin.
   So on to this product:
   First of all I hated the smell. I could not find a way to apply this normally to my skin (dry or wet). Sticky feeling, did not absorb at all, etc. I threw it away. Waste of money.

   I bought a 1.6ml bottle online for only $19. This is a preliminary review.

   Right off the bat I can say the product looks beautiful in the bottle. I couldn’t wait to put it on. However, it smells…badly. It smells like vegetable oil. I had perfume on my wrists and the smell of this stuff overpowers the perfume. I will definitely put this on first next time.

   The product applies pretty easily and isn’t oily at all. This definitely can’t be used as a moisturizer itself however. It gives a nice moisturizing shine at first but that dries down to a matte so all you are left with is glitter. I was wanting both shine and glitter. If I wanted just glitter I would just mix some with lotion.

   I will use this bottle up, but I probably won’t buy this again.

   edit:// mixing this with coconut oil actually looks really nice on the skin although I still don’t see any noticeable glam or shine. Save your money!

    THIS PRODUCT IS ALL HYPE! – Nuxe Company has Horrible Service
    -There have been quite a few positive reviews on blogs for Nuxe OR oil and the idea of a multi-use spray on product really appealed to me.
    -So, I finally decided to purchase it and picked the mini sample of the original oil as well I was kind of excited so I paid for upgraded shipping.
    -Sprayed it and thought, “Ewwww, this smells like cheap suntanning oil with loads of Honey”.
    -The gold flecks are useless, (nothing showed up, even on paler skin).

    -Still wasn’t feeling the scent-then skin started burning & itching. I immediately washed it off.
    Went onto the Nuxe site to get the instructions for a return, repacked it and sent it back.

    -After several emails, I received no response.
    -They have not processed my refund (over a month now)
    -Did not post my review of the product on their site

    There are better products on the market that you could buy at the fraction of the price.
    DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY. THEY ARE THIEVES.
