My fiance introduced me to Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Deep Radiance Gel Oil & I actually like it. I like the benefits of pure cocoa butter, but never use it because I cannot stand the smell. Because of how well this product moisturizes skin, is non-greasy, & is long-lasting, I’m willing to tolerate the smell. The fact I don’t like the scent of pure cocoa butter or the greasy feel of oil made me think I’d hate this, but it’s a good quality gel oil that moisturizes well & isn’t uncomfortably sticky.
The gel absorbs into my skin quickly & it doesn’t feel too greasy or sticky. Whenever I use oil gels, I have to blot my skin & hands with a towel or wash my hands so they don’t feed slick; I didn’t have to do that with this. I could live without the glowing finish though… I’m personally not a fan of the greasy baby oil look. For $5-6, it’s an awesome purchase if you’ve got dry skin & want long-lasting moisture.
Note: if you’re like me & love cocoa butter but hate the smell, try their Body Lotion (fragrance free) or Moisturizing Body Oil (lightly scented)
