This review is for the red one, in which I believe is for men. Well, I am a male with extremely sensitive skin. Most shaving creams leave me with bumps and cuts. This shaving cream leaves my face incredibly smooth and free from nicks and cuts. The only con is that it is very thick and gets stuck between the blades. You have to really remove the remaining cream with a napkin and running water.

Any time I try using a different shave cream (if this one is out of stock at my local Target), I always end up regretting it. This is without a doubt the best shave cream I’ve ever used. I only need to use a small amount and I get the closest, smoothest shave. I love that it doesn’t gum up my razor, and it makes my legs, underarms, and bikini area so easy to shave because of how impossibly slick it is.
There are two scents – one is a lavender which I love but it’s a bit strong, and a mango which I prefer as it’s quite subtle. The scent doesn’t really hang around though, so that’s good. My skin always feels super soft after I use this due to the close shave and the moisturizing properties (but I still follow up with a good lotion).
You get a TON of product for around $8 or so, which is awesome because one tube of this will last me three months with daily shaving, while other creams are gone in a matter of a couple weeks. So it’s good value for money. I’ve not had any issues with the packaging getting fouled up or leaking.
This stuff really is the best across the board. I’ll keep buying it as long as it’s available.

I use the lavender Cremo shave lotion. It is expensive but it causes my dry, sensitive skin less post-shave irritation or itching than anything else I have tried (eos shave cream, conditioner, skintimate foam, body wash, etc.).
Cremo says it has 90 shaves in a tube but they must be figuring that based on a man’s face. If you’re using this as a woman for daily shaving of legs and other parts, it lasts 2-3 weeks. The formula is so much better than the gels or foams that don’t really lubricate your skin, as it really does apply to the skin and not just sit on top. The liquid is thin and doesn’t lather much but it does the job very well, providing a slick layer for smooth shaving. It is pretty moisturizing though I still need a heavy duty lotion post-shave during the winter. The lavender scent is lovely but very strong and will scent your bathroom for an hour after a hot shower.
It is costly at $7 a tube at Target or two for $15 on amazon. Sometimes the other formulations are slightly less expensive but the lavender is my favorite for sensitive skin. Based on the lack of itch and close shave it provides, I will continue to use it and would recommend it.

This stuff is pricey up front but a tube of it lasts forever, so in the end it’s really very cost-effective. I get an extremely close shave using just a plain old Bic Simply Soleil Click; at first, it’s a little more difficult to see where you’re shaving since there’s no thick cream to guide you, but I got used to that pretty quickly. Works great for underarm shaving too. No razor burn or bumps at all. Only reason it’s not a five-lippie product is that it leaves the skin on my legs very, very dry – but I have several lifetimes’ worth of lotion, so that’s not too much of a problem.

I was skeptical about this at first due to the $9 pricetag for a shave cream but I am a convert! I love how its almost like using soap but moisturizing and slippery for razors. I do not get razor bumps or burns and I think my blades stay sharper. The best part about this is how long it will last. I had been buying Eos shave cream for a year or so and having to replace every 1.5-2 months, I’ve had this product for a month and theres probably a year’s worth of product left. You only need to use a tiny bit, so the price is definitely worth it in the long run. It gives a much closer shave, which I didn’t think a shave cream could even do. When I get out of the shower my legs are legitimately SHINY? I didn’t realize how non-close my previous shave was, but I’m so happy I discovered this product and will definitely continue to buy!

Definitely overrated and overpriced. Nothing but a container with overhyped text containing a mediocre product. Tried this and didn’t like the smell. It did feel luxurious upon application, but I missed quite a few spots due to the lack of a lather. After rinsing and drying, my skin did not feel moisturized. Worse yet, my razor bumps returned with a vengeance during the following days. I now keep it for my pits. But everywhere else I use Pure Silk for dry skin. It’s super cheap, lathers, and is the only shave cream that takes care of my horrid razor bump problem. Moisturizing too.

My sister had this, and it was just gathering dust in the cupboard so I decided to use it as an alternative to the Skintimate Skin Therapy Dry/Sensitive (Pink or Purple Can that smells like baby lotion) because I was running a little low.
I’m glad I tried it.
I would like to note that I use Dorco Soft Touch (Shai 3+3- LSXA1000) or Shai Smooth Touch 6-blade razors (SXA2000) or the Shai 6 (SXA3000). They’re all 6-blade razors. I stopped using Venus and Schick Blades over a year ago and have not tried this cream with those razors. I’m not sure if the razor brand makes much of a difference or not. I’m going to venture to say that it probably doesn’t make a difference. If I pull out one of my old Venus blades, I’ll update the review in the future to note that.
The pink-capped “Lady Cremo Cream” is now discontinued in favor of the Coconut Mango scent version, but honestly, it makes no difference whether you use the classic tube, the coconut tube, or the pink-capped Lady Cremo tube. The minor difference in scent is the only difference between the tubes. (Excepting of course, the Cooling/Menthol version, which I have yet to try but am interested in.)
So far, I’ve used the Lady Cremo and the Coconut Mango; there’s no difference in performance and the smell is just a little less “Pina Colada” than it was before. No big deal, and it doesn’t seem to leave a lasting scent on the skin, which is fine because my deodorant would cover it up anyways.
A little bit goes a very long way. You need maybe a pea sized amount for each armpit. I know I’m guilty of overusing, but I make sure to mix water with it and create a slick surface on my skin. I haven’t had the level of razor burn that I was having with the Gillette/Skintimate gels/creams that I had been using prior. I still get it under one armpit, but it’s at a much lower level. Also, the razor burn is my fault because I get lazy in the shower and make swipes when the cream is all scraped away. (Instead of taking twenty seconds to reapply, which would be the smart thing to do.)
So far, I find that it gets a much smoother shave under my arms than ever before. As for my legs, I notice they’re smoother, too. It’s more difficult for me to see my legs and where I’ve shaved than with my armpits. It helps with my armpits where the hair is darker and I can see what I have or have not missed; with my leg hair, which isn’t as visible, it’s harder to see where I have or have not shaved.
On my legs, I can make multiple swipes before the cream is gone, so I don’t get razor burn or cuts. So far, no nicks, cuts, or scrapes that weren’t my own fault (from rushing, not paying close attention, etc.) and those were all minor.
I end up with very smooth legs and armpits. I shave my legs about 2x a week just because I like the super smooth feel, but the stubble isn’t terrible even if I do 1x a week. Because shaving is easier and faster than the process I was doing before Cremo, I don’t mind taking the ten extra minutes to shave anymore.
For the first time in forever, I can shave in the shower without worrying about water splatter washing the foam off, or without worrying about the foam drying out quickly. This stuff stays pretty slick for the length of time required, and it doesn’t slide off with the occasional splash from rinsing off my razor.
If you’re the type of person who wants the foam, you can mix some of this stuff with your foam/gel and it will make a good, thick, slick foam that you can spread out on your skin. Personally, I’m not going back to the foam stuff if I can avoid it, but I did try mixing with the Skintimate to test the theory. I found it less effective to do it that way; perhaps if I was shaving a beard instead of a minute amount of leg or armpit hair, it might make a difference.
Possibly the best thing about this cream (aside from the aforementioned points): I can store it in the shower without the can rusting, getting funky, the label peeling off, shave gel gunking down the sides, etc. It’s just a vinyl bottle with a flip cap. It makes it a little difficult to get ALL of the cream out of the bottle, but that’s a minor flaw that’s common with those types of bottles.
Around here (the Western New York area), it costs around $5-6/tube. It lasts for quite a while, so it’s definitely worth it. The benefits of not having a gross, slimy, rusty can sitting in the shower makes it worth the money.

This stuff is easily the best shaving cream I’ve ever used, hands down, no questions about it.
I swear my shave lasts at least an extra day or so longer, which is a big deal considering my winning combination of light skin and dark coarse body hair. I still exfoliate before and moisturize after shaving, which I’m sure makes a difference, but this cream, I just, ugh. It’s fantastic. I’ve used it on my underarms, bikini line, and legs with great results.
You do have to follow the directions, i.e. using really hot water and not a lot of cream. It makes a slippery surface rather than a straight-up lather. It sounds odd but it really works.
I use the guy’s version because the scent description sounded like something I’d like – herbal-y citrus vs. pina colada + $2 extra for the ladies’ version.
I’m a convert. I’ll buy this on Amazon for as long as they make it.
