These LUSH shampoo bars really dry out my hair and make my scalp itchy. So far my favorite and less itch inducing bar type if the soak and float. Jason and the Argan oil really dries my scalp. They do keep your hair squeaky clean. I love that there’s practically NO packaging. I would opt for a more natural version. I listed a few natural shampoo bars in my post below and will try them after my LUSH bars are used up. I would ONLY by the Soak and Float again due to my dry scalp. Everything else I will pass. I would not recommend this product for people with psoriasis as it is too drying. Combining it with conditioner may prevent itching.

omg this shampoo is AMAZING I believe I converted from liquid to solid… I read reviews on this and decided to try it. I’m glad I did it’s amazing… it’s actually pretty cheap when u think about how much u actually spend on liquid shampoo and it doesn’t take up room at all and works better. the smell doesn’t last long but that’s ok with me…. it’s great I want to try the argan oil one soon… but for now I’m hooked on this. they’re shipping is actually quick and it’s cool they send samples and my hair actually felt weird first time I used it but after everytime Ive used this my hair gets softer and smoother each time I use it…I use the veganese conditioner with it and it changed my hair.

I use it during about 2 months, cleans well and the smell is really nice. However my scalp felt a bit itchy everytime I use it so I will not repurchase.

LOVE this shampoo. Was skeptical buying it cause I didnt think I’d like it but I’m glad I did. Makes my hair look so nice, have gotten loads of compliments on it since I started using it. Can’t bring myself to use any other shampoo now. I think it’s making my hair grow too but it’s a bit early to tell. Big fan
Pros:
-The smell if you’re into that, if you’re not a pro is that the smell doesn’t really linger
-Makes hair look amazing
-Easy to use
-Easy to transport
-Really good lather
-Cleans hair well
Cons:
-Need a tin for more uses

This is the best shampoo bar LUSH makes. It smells like allspice & cinnamon. It tingles the scalp w the cinnamon stimulating your scalp blood flow it’s addictive! & the scent does not linger unfortunately but my hair feels amazing w this & looks shiny, healthy, bouncy & not frizzy I can wear my hair curly (natural) or flat ironed. It keeps my hair from getting dirty so fast & this clarifies it of excess oil/dirt whilst keeping it moisturized. Here’re to hoping it makes my hair grow. I’m using LUSH Veganese conditioner with it. My 2 HG shampoos are LUSH shampoo bars ESP this 1 & LUSH CurlyWurly! I love LUSH I don’t care if it had sulfates & -cones. My hair is the best it’s been in a long time less shedding & styles better. I will buy/rebuy from LUSH forever. No animal testing is gr8. Price is reasonable & a bar lasts a long time. Wish it had some packaging system but hey it’s at least not leaving a huge carbon footprint on earth #WINNING #newshampoobar #new

I’ve been using this for about a week. The ‘Jason and the Argan oil’ was too moisturising so my choice was between this and the lemon one. I picked this because I’m growing my hair, and I really like cinnamon. First off it does nothing for my natural blonde colour. My dermatitis riddled scalp likes New! and for that I’m grateful. I swipe once on each temple then a couple swipes on the back of my head and that’s all I need for great soft bubbles. If my scalp is itchy I wash twice and my hair is squeaky clean, but I dont need much if any conditioner, the processed ends are still soft. I use Sugar Daddy-o solid conditioner and it’s perfect, I also have Veganese but its a bit too oily for my hair type. Overall I’m happy with New! but I’m going to try the lemon one next in hopes it helps my blonde. I have Daddy-o (the violet shampoo) but I need an everyday non tinted ‘poo. Bonus points for no animal testing and no packaging.

This looks like a strand on just lush shampoo bars in general but since the one pictured is the cinnamon I’ll mention both! I am obsessed with their bars! I honestly don’t think I can go back to regular shampoos! They bars last a good long while, they suds up like CRAZY, they smell amazing, they ARE amazing! They discontinued my fav bar 🙁 the ultimate shine but my husband uses the cinnamon because it encourages hair growth, occasionally I’ll borrow his and I really adore It! It makes my hair light and feel clean and smell great!

I notice New helps a lot with hair loss since the first day I used it, so I was very happy with my purchase already. I don’t need to use much of this product and for sure don’t need to use it twice like people say you should do with normal shampoos. I tried wash my hair twice with this and it got so clean and dry it got oily in the next day trying to compensate for the lack of natural oil, now I just use a little bit and my hair looks great. I do feel like it drys my hair a little bit, it doesn’t make much difference in my scalp, but I make sure to use a great amount of moisturizing conditioner in my ends and the problem is solved. I travel a lot, so for me the product being solid and not occupying space in my luggage is a huge plus. Will definitely buy a solid shampoo again, but I think I will try a more moisturizing one the next time.

I haven’t brought anything from lush for quiet a while, I am a subscriber of Michele1218 and in one of her recent video, she mention the ‘New’ solid shampoo and how great it was.
I was near a Lush store the following day and decided to purchase this. Lets start by saying this is the most I’ve ever spent on shampoo, I usually don’t spend a lot on Shampoo, Conditioner or Body Wash.
In the last year I have experience quiet a lot of hair fall out, colleagues at work are complaining because they have to clean after me, my work place is covered in my hair.
The ‘NEW’ shampoo stinks! I hate the scent, it’s not exactly Herbal Essence. It smells of All Spice powder in your hair, good thing is the smell doesn’t linger and it does go away as soon as you walk out of the shower.
This stuff lathers up really well and you don’t need a lot to get it going. I do feel that this cleans my hair so well that it feels like it’s almost too abrasive for my hair….if you know what I mean…. I would NEVER use this shampoo without conditioning my hair afterwards. I feel after I was my hair with this shampoo, my hair seems to take in my conditioner better.
I notice ever since I started using this shampoo my hair feel a lot more clean, NO fall out which was really interesting, my hair feels softer and it feels and looks like it got more life to it. I feel the shampoo itself done a fantastic job at cleaning my hair and preparing it for my conditioner, I feel the results I got was because my conditioner got to work better because my hair is a lot cleaner thanks to this shampoo.
I must say I love this shampoo, luckily I brought 2 bars when I was at Lush cause I’m not oftenly near there.

These things are a life saver. As a frequent traveler (especially when living out of a backpack), the lush solid shampoos are just awesome. First of all they’re tiny compared to a bottle of shampoo. If space is an issue, then look no further because these are the size of a hockey puck, but can last for almost 3 months (shampooing every other day or so). And that’s pretty impressive as I have really long hair and usually go through a normal sized bottle of shampoo in under 2 months. They lather really well, which is something I was worried about because I like my shampoo to lather nice a rich. New smells nice but I don’t find the smell stays in my hair, but I’ve never had the smell of a shampoo last as the conditioner always comes out stronger. As New is such a bold colour, I found that it did leave some colour behind in the shower (or wherever I put it to dry) but it never stained so I wasn’t bothered. As for the actual cleansing powers, I find this to be pretty on par with what I expect a shampoo to do. It’s not like it’s changed my life with how my hair looks or feels or anything, but I’ve never found a shampoo that has done much in that aspect for me. It gets my hair nice and clean, doesn’t leave it any dryer than normal, and I’m totally happy with that. Of course the only thing that sucks with this is storage!!! It turns to mush if you leave it be in the shower or if it doesn’t dry properly. I can be a real pain sometimes if I forget to properly put it away. While traveling, I would leave it out somewhere to dry then put it into a soap container. This worked fine but is a bit more effort than just closing the cap of a regular shampoo bottle. But even after considering this, I still love these and will keep purchasing, especially for travel.
EDIT:
I thought I should add, my hair type is quite pretty normal, not super dry, maybe a bit on the oily side when I skip shampoo for the day, and it dries almost completely straight. My friend on the other hand, has very curly hair. She also tried this shampoo and really like it, so goes to show that it’ll work with more than one hair type.
